The Ultimate Test For Survival Begins. I’ve always felt that this challenge is the “you beat it, you can handle anything the game throws at you” challenge. Best of luck Hadrian. You may not have a lot of it in these next few episodes… (or runs…)
Your first death in this challenge actually echoes that which led to your demise at the end of the last AOO series - sleeping for multiple hours in a situation where cold could be a killer. You are in good company, mind - I remember Ath seeing Jessica die in her sleep above the Ash Canyon mine due to sleeping for too long, and the fire blowing out. I believe sleeping for one or at most two hours reduces the risk of actually dying in the night (I deliberately say “ believe” as I play on the easier difficulties where it takes real stupidity or recklessness to freeze to death), although sleeping in short snatches reduces the tiredness recovery benefit, and in this case you may simply have woken up to freeze to death anyway, or to starve to death! Whatever, I am sure this challenge will be an exciting ride, and thoroughly enjoyed sharing the premiere with you, the Legion, and any other viewers. ❤️
I wasn't able to make the premiere, but I at least caught the episode on the same day! this is going to be absolutely brutal and I am totally here for it
Looking into it at ~47 minutes, the fire was giving +36F, pushing the temp to 52F. Bedroll gave +7F, putting you at 59F while the fire was going, and 23F the moment it died. Given your Condition level, likely froze within 3 hours, even ignoring the likely hypothermia.
Damn, this challenge is cold, but really bright compared to the Dark Walker. Good Luck, That said this feels Long Dark so it's fine, everything is fine. :)
There are a few cattails in Bleak Inlet, at the base of a waterfall, but just a few. Get yourself to the Keg where there is an all-you-can-eat cattail buffet lol
Just found this channel and it’s one of my favorites now! I love finding TLD content creators that I didn’t know about. I hope you keep catching the big algorithm wave, if that is something that you want. On another note, you’ve got a good voice for this stuff. I replayed the video after watching, just to listen to as I went to sleep. You could do audiobooks haha. Anyways, thank you for the great content! Liked, shared, subbed, etc… Edit: Also, Hadrian is a badass name. I can’t believe you built that whole wall. Especially considering that those damned Picts probably didn’t make it easy for you.
Sorry had to dip out on the second half, dindins got delivered. Also genuine question, do you not swear in your videos because of youtube being akin a delicate 96 y old christian Grand Mother , or is it for personal belief/ reasons ? Also also hey at least you didn't squander the bed roll in the way I expected, which was fixing it to the point of harvesting it, Which I've definitely never done. Ever.
Oh I swear like a sailor, I just try to keep in mind that there are a lot of people who watch my content who watch with their kids, so I don't think it's respectful to swear all the time. My policy isn't "don't swear," but to swear infrequently enough that it has weight when I do.
@@HadrianLP yeah in the last episode with the f bomb you dropped I actually balked a little. And when you muttered "sunuvabitch" when you hit Bleak Inlet and saw where the fire was.

As the dead sleep is a pretty accurate challenge title... especially for the first run!
I can tell this is gonna be a good one.

Great to see a more classic tld gameplay again.
This looks to be a very interesting challenge, a REAL survival test i'd go as far to say. Best of luck for the next few episodes 😊

I wish they made the game more sandboxy: Allowing people to create their own missions/challenges.
Just started watching this playlist. Loving it. I love all the content you create 😊💜
Sadly I was unable to make the premiere but it’s good to go from supernatural spooky nerves/anxiety to regular TLD nerves/Anxiety XD
Awesome, thanks Hadrian..
Two runs for the price of one video view. Hadrian delivers!
Going back to your comments back in the Hunted challenge, I wouldn't be surprised if Part 3 had the spear in it to finish off the bear.
Man, Bleak Inlet is a rough zone to start a challenge like this!
So sad I always miss the premier, I'm in Hawaii so too early for me!
hopefully that beginning was not foreshadowing
As the dead sleep? More like as the sleep, dead.

@@martinatobitt1154 As long as it was a balk and not a balk, I'm okay with that, lol
@@HadrianLP it was a slight pearl clutch followed by a bog hag cackle. The blanked lil swear you did here sent me too! 🤣
I'm first bc I was at the premier 😂
Finally Hadrian plays what I jokingly call the "And the horse you rode in on " challenge😂
