Remember that these fish can get so exhausted form fighting, that they can easily die. Try to handle them fast and get them back in the water as soon as possible. A little bit stronger tackle isn't the worst idea either, since you could shorten the time of the fight.
Good info bud. Only thing that's weird where I've been chasing grass Carp is they stay on the far side of the lake where people cannot get to without a boat. I'm gonna land one eventually.
I don’t understand what’s up with the carp in my lake lmao. I throw bread /corn right in front of them and they couldn’t care less, but I’ve caught one on a small topwater meant for bass and they were going after a similar lure today
Where are you fishing? In this video? I live in Raleigh and I really want to find good grass carp fishing spots or just common carp. I would love to find out where you are fishing in this video.
i have gigantic 6 foot long grass carp and ive been trying to snag them because they weigh live 40 pounds and are 6 feet and they dont eat the corn so ill try this
There’s 3 in my pond I think one is sick. It has a bend to it and come up every once and awhile swimming weird. I think form what I looked up it’s a blabber infection.
Might be, I’ve actually seen footage of that before. Not really sure what it is though or how to help it unfortunately. A lot of the times that’s due to dirty water or just mishandling them sometimes
Certainly no weights. The most important thing is line and hook. As long as your line isn’t too heavy and your hook isn’t too big. Nothing else matters too much
Grass carp are know for going mad on the bank you should never go fishing without a carp cradle to keep them off the ground if your not prepared for the fish please don't go fishing for them
Bro. Boilies. Why bread? Follow the Englishmen. Boilies. Especially if you can cook your own floating boilies. I crush em all day with boilies. Just gotta change up your routine - because they definitely learn within a day.
Will be answering all comments if you have any questions.
If you season your half a slice of bread with a little bit of garlic would it help or not?
I love how you live in harmony with nature
Nice tips man! And nice fish! I can’t wait to get on some monster grass carp.
I caught a grass carp last week with trout magnet with a grasshopper 🦗 on the end of the hook

I hear they taste good.
@@mossexotics246you heard very wrong
Carp have no amino acid buildup, that’s not true.
@ryananderson9747 that's not a regular Carp. Grass carp will die if you fight them too long.
@@dzsuz1 again, you’re wrong.

Best of luck!
Are you using fluorocarbon or monofilament line? How do you catch one in about 30 seconds when I’ve spent 100 hours of my life trying to get a bite?
Great info and man that Carp was Huge!!! Nice catch! 🔥🔥
Thanks💯🔥
what net did you use

I used whole wheat bread and I don’t even know what rod I was using at the time. But my reel was made by pflueger. Really cheap stuff

they arent 6 feet long lol. Try 3.5-4.
Ik this is 2 years old but basically my 8-10 lbs trout pole is good enough?
As long as you know how to fight properly then you’ll be good. I’ve caught a grass carp off a ice fishing rod once. You just gotta take your time
Thx
Do you need any weight while fishing with boober grass carp
No I wouldn’t recommend using weights
Thanks man

My personal best is 24 pounds in a canal but my firend has gotten some up to 40 pounds
Are you in Florida? 24 pounds is a really big carp for my area lol

So I don't really need a fancy set up? I could just put on a hook and that's it? No weights...ect

i caught a grass carp by snagging it with a giant bass spoon
3yrs😂😂 I have 1 but will never eat what you throw at it
Man you killed the fish.
No he didn’t. Smh. Why post a bS comment.
I have grass carp in my grandparents pond that are bigger than that. also I'm 14 and I'm 5 foot 3 and they are a little bit shorter than me

You ever see them swimming in circles on the top of the water? I saw a huge one last night
All the time. It usually means they’re either feeding or just cruising if the waters real warm
