    Remember that these fish can get so exhausted form fighting, that they can easily die. Try to handle them fast and get them back in the water as soon as possible. A little bit stronger tackle isn't the worst idea either, since you could shorten the time of the fight.

    Good info bud. Only thing that's weird where I've been chasing grass Carp is they stay on the far side of the lake where people cannot get to without a boat. I'm gonna land one eventually.

    Are you using fluorocarbon or monofilament line? How do you catch one in about 30 seconds when I’ve spent 100 hours of my life trying to get a bite?

    I don’t understand what’s up with the carp in my lake lmao. I throw bread /corn right in front of them and they couldn’t care less, but I’ve caught one on a small topwater meant for bass and they were going after a similar lure today

      I used whole wheat bread and I don’t even know what rod I was using at the time. But my reel was made by pflueger. Really cheap stuff

    i have gigantic 6 foot long grass carp and ive been trying to snag them because they weigh live 40 pounds and are 6 feet and they dont eat the corn so ill try this

      As long as you know how to fight properly then you’ll be good. I’ve caught a grass carp off a ice fishing rod once. You just gotta take your time

    There’s 3 in my pond I think one is sick. It has a bend to it and come up every once and awhile swimming weird. I think form what I looked up it’s a blabber infection.

      Might be, I’ve actually seen footage of that before. Not really sure what it is though or how to help it unfortunately. A lot of the times that’s due to dirty water or just mishandling them sometimes

      Certainly no weights. The most important thing is line and hook. As long as your line isn’t too heavy and your hook isn’t too big. Nothing else matters too much

    I have grass carp in my grandparents pond that are bigger than that. also I'm 14 and I'm 5 foot 3 and they are a little bit shorter than me

    Grass carp are know for going mad on the bank you should never go fishing without a carp cradle to keep them off the ground if your not prepared for the fish please don't go fishing for them

      All the time. It usually means they’re either feeding or just cruising if the waters real warm
