HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 25 апр 2021
- On this trip, I hit a creek bank to do some carp fishing. My setup was very simple. I used my bass rods, corn, small hook, and small sinker. This is a very easy method for catching carp.

Carp are underrated. I love catching carp they fight like no other fish
They also fight really intelligently. I have legitimately seen them run into an area with logs, and then twist line around a branch that is broken with a sharpened end. Its' fucking scary how smart they are.
@@JoeSkylynx very smart. The spot I fish has a tree probably 60 or 70 foot off the bank and just about every one I hook runs straight to that tree. I’ve lost several good fish to that tree
@@JoeSkylynx in one of the lakes i fish here in the UK. There are water pumps to keep the oxygen flowing in the lake to keep fish healthy. I hooked one of the older fish in the lake and it took me straight around it. The definitely know how to get away
At least they fight like no other freshwater fish. Jack and tuna family fight harder, but they are saltwater.
@@johndyer9232 oh yea there’s fresh water fish that fight hard for their size as well like striper and smallmouth and I’m sure there are more that I can’t think of. But carp are impressive
That's the first time I've ever heard a fisherman say "Well he's bigger than what I was wanting" 😂 great video!
I love the way you talked to that catfish
"He gonna bite my foot off"
"I will drop kick you fish"
"Now go get big so we can do it again" lol
Mhm lol😂
“ I’ll drop kick you fish”😭😂
Actually made me chuckle out loud 😂
Hilarious
Kayak Karp and Katfish
was about to comment the same thing. hahaha
Bout took me out bro that was funny
My pb carp is 30 pounds. Caught it from a wheelchair after a wreck I had
That is crazy
I helped my 8 year old son catch a 15 pound channel cat throwing a Carolina rigged octopus hook with some corn on it. Thank you for taking the time to make this he said it was the best day of his life and I got the inspiration here.
Hello, thanks for your comments. Do you know what the regulations are for tents in South Carolina?
“Don’t need no fancy concoctions” my hero
Sometimes you do. In the summertime Sweet Corn or Hominy will work great, because the hot weather depletes their salt, and they seek it out. But in the early spring and late fall, other baits work FAR better, and canned corn often won't work at all. Carp are remarkably picky in what they eat, when, and why. Been a lot of fun figuring them out. But what works on the lakes/rivers I fish, might not work as well in other waters. Sometimes Pop-Up Corn with sweet attractants works. Sometimes they'll touch nothing but boilies. Sometimes Corn/Hominy will catch the lion's share. Just gotta keep trying things.
Carp love McDonald's French fries.
I just caught my first carp using your exact method. Blessings. - Des Plaines Illinois
Man I was fishing it today they was all sitting top water in the channel I was using corn but they wasn’t hitting it😢
About 15 years ago man caught a state record carp here in Texas during a tournament and won $250,000
Big Head Carp? lake Kirby??

Carp fishing is really fun and easy. I bring my friends out fishing who dont fish often and they are just blown away by the size and how easy it is to catch em. Good times.
SO excited YOU DID A DIFFERENT SPECIES, don't get me wrong I LOVE your catfish videos. But LOVE THE CHANGE UP!!!!! So awesome to see a different species.
I love fishing for Carp to relax and change It Up,just to feel a different fight
9:27 I love when I get that huge bite and my line starts screaming that’s my favorite part of fishing. Cool video 👍🏾
I just spent 10 days , 9 nights of straight carp fishing. I absolutely love fishing for them. Tight lines my friend
You're a trooper. 3 morning sessions with a real solid pre-spawn bite going on, and I'm exhausted. A 200-pound session will wear you out! Love those Carp.
I’ve always carp fished like this. Same way my dad taught me years ago! Love the fight carp give you! Keep up the great content man!!
They fight well, but they always look so pathetic with their little sucker mouths and general cow like demeanor once they stop fighting.
@@rrpostalagain Last one I caught was so angry and cussed me out .
Carp fisherman here,we do have fancy dudads but I started the same way you did and I can say anything that works,it works there is no one way to catch a carp, thanks for showing your viewers that carp are not bad as it seems and they're really fun and worth it
I was raised a trout fisherman; and kind of raised to despise carp. Now I love fishing for them when the summer heat is too hot for trout!
6 carp disliked this video.
“I’ll drop kick you fish”😂😂😂😂
I'd love to see ya do carp fishing like this again once in while...
Nothing wrong with variety. I enjoyed it because I will take days when Im just collecting bait. Cant wait till the next one.
Thanks for giving us some variety. I've had a lot of fun sight casting to carp with a fly rod. I put a little scent on a dry fly. No trout ever fought so hard!
Pretty cool Justin. Great stress reliever. No pressure. Yet again another great video. Hope you don't get tired of hearing it but thanks for getting me on the river. From the couch in Ohio
I second this but from WV
I carp fish euro style, glad to see more people enjoying them as well!
Carp are under appreciated and great fun to catch. I rig up for and fish for carp exactly like you did. My biggest Blue cat was caught on carp.
Haven't actively fished for carp since I was a kid. One of those fish I forgot about. Thanks for renewing that interest. Gonna go do that after work this week. Fun video.
YESS! Justin, you the man!! Awesome way to mix it up! Im telling you man the way you crank out so much good content is what separates you from the wrest.. keep it up!
I've caught 2,800+ pounds of Carp so far this season. Started targeting them 7 or 8 years ago, never looked back. They're so much fun. Not only are they fun to battle (great strength and endurance), but they're fun to figure out. Their dietary needs change radically throughout the season, and as conditions change. Figuring out what will catch them, at various times of year, and under varying conditions, has been a blast. If you've never tried it, give it a shot. I imagine you'll quickly gain an appreciation for this fish.
Is this why they just swam past my corn bait? Lol
Soooo happy to see you do some carp fishing, I’m a multi species fisherman but primarily fish for carp. Gotta love that fight
Justin, never thought I'd see you carp fishing! Your rig, bait, and method are one of the very best for carp--can't beat sweet corn! They are strong fighters, which is one of the reasons I enjoy targeting them. There are some carp-worshipers that won't approve of your using them for bait, but I'm not among 'em! Carp on--even if only in pursuit of giant cats!
Not what I expected but loved it! Thanks for saving my Monday morning!
My favorite way to catch em! And I appreciate you throwing the big ones back. 1-3 pounders are perfect for bait, the bigger ones should go back 👊
I went through a spell when I was really young where carp were the main thing I wanted to catch. Super easy to catch big fish, and a lot of fun! The only tournament I’ve ever won (I’ve only ever done 2 tournaments) was a carp fishing tournament!
Thanks very much for your carp outing , you made it look fun and relatively easy. With all these carp fishing people they make it seem like a complex science and I always thought it was for the specially skilled fishermen. Not so much in reality !
You do it exactly how I carp fish. When fishing is slow and I want something to kick in the adrenaline, I rig up and do exactly as you do. Sometimes, I'll add garlic salt to the corn as well. They are some hard fighting fish.
Literally going around to learn different carp tips and tricks as I just hit two off today and always willing to learn new ways! Can't catch nothing ice fishing so let's find us so carp!!
On the fly rod, it's absolutely insane. Great video man.
Love it made me nostalgic! Corn and wheatie balls best carp baits. The Golden torpedo is a blast!
Great video buddy! Keeping it simple and I love it. Keep it up! Great lookin fish.
Showed my daughter this video and she is ready to go carp fishing now!
I love the fight they put up! Awesome video!
A great fun for a change. Loved it.
Great video brother. Man pound for pound those things are strong. Thanks for sharing
Another masterpiece in the books.
Justin this video was ace. I agree with you about just using basic fishing tackle to catch carp. I don't use boilies fancy hair rigs, no nothing like that just the similar set up you use. I even catch carp by float fishing too. Carp are a great fish that gives an angler a good fight and by golly its a great feeling. Thanks, I hope you produce more carp catching content.
I've been watching more carp catching videos and thinking about doing some fishing. You made it look really simple🤣
Awesome Video! You should do a carp catch and cook video, I saw another RUclipsr do one and was really surprised when he said the carp was surprisingly good, carp has white flaky meat… I’ve personally never ate carp but after seeing the carp catch and cook video I might have to give it a try sometime…🤷♂️💯
Yes ... this My kind of fishing video . Great video
Thanks. I didn't believe the corn thing till now. Awesome video!
Really nice video man i enjoyed everything keep up with the good work.👍🏼
Thanks for keeping it simple enjoyed the video 👍👍👍
There are only a couple of lakes in my state that have carp, and further, it's illegal to use corn as bait, but carp fishing is something I've always heard good things about. They fight like no other fish alive, and being considered an invasive species, there are no regulations on them. I've seen special carp baits in Bass Pro.
You can also use nightcrawlers if any of the specialized baits aren't working for ya or are too expensive (I dunno, never used carp bait from the store).
All the ones I've caught were while I was going for bullheads and channel cats using worms.
It's only illegal to use corn to fish in 1 state
Anchoring up and catching them from the yak is awesome. Very underrated fish. I fish for them and Gar while the kitties are a he’n and she’n. Would love to see some more carp videos.
Enjoyed Justin thanks for sharing lots of fun
I'd atch your catfishin any day, but really like that you change it up - ultra light and now carp. Carp are great fighters, thanks for the variety.
Funny story on what brought me here today. Saw some kids down by the creek yesterday fishing and I went down and bullshitted with them for a few they were also fishin for bass as I was. Been fishing the creeks around here for a minute and sure enough he snagged him a 10 pound carp on a little rooster tail never seen anything like it before. He pulled it with a 4 pound test on top of it. Kid was glowin now I gotta learn more about these sucker's lol.
Nice! Carp have been next on my list for a while.
Use hair rigs and bait feeder
Birdseed for chum
Just figured it out this year, crushed em
Got one last night before it rained 🌵
Please do another I love catching carp great video!
Awesome change of pace. Great video.
Cool seeing you tackle something different. Carp fishing is really getting popular these last few years!
Your ditch pickle comment killed me 😂 thats what I call them!! Good vid man. Keep em coming!!
New subscriber! I’m stationed in South Korea and I caught a carp in a net! Thanks !
Thanks so much for keeping it simple, from Texas ✌
As always Justin,another great video
Gonna go pick me up a medium heavy rod to start catching carp! It looks so fun!
Super fun with lighter tackle!!
All I used to fish for was carp. They are a great time. Even the small ones put up a massive fight.
Fan of your channel , and also a carp angler euro style and for what u say and did today on your video. I don't feel mad at all. U release those big carp and there's nothing wrong on using carp or any other fish for bait. Looking forward to your next video 👍
Kayak Carp! I dig it👍👍
I've been watching your channel for a long time and I've never seen so many catfish come after you it must be the bank fishing man 😂😂😂
I bowfished as well Justin. Shot a 200lb 7'2 inch gator gar here in Texas. I quit doing it and would love to catch some carp, buffalo and gator gar on the rod and reel. Might have to try some of that myself. Great video man.
loving the variety in the vids
Relaxing time and learned some new tips man. Subbed up! I am the guy that sort of got lucky and patient for a 12 pound bass but have yet to catch a Cat above 5!!
I use to carp fish when I was younger.. they sure do fight good!
That was a fun trip👍👍
Love carp fishing since childhood. But man, it is so hard to decide which one to pull when you have double bite! :)
That was a fun change, enjoyed!
Carp are a BLAST to catch, we use to use Wheaties cereal and imitation vanilla dough balls, and wear them out when I was growing up. Congrats and God Bless buddy!👍🤗🙏🙏🙏🙏
That was fun. Carp are a hoot to catch. And yes I have all the whistles, whips and bells for carp fishing. But it just effects the kids inheritance so no problem..
Carp are excellent catfish bait. Plus they are a great catch and full of action.
good video justin nice change of pace and a catfish
Nice video and great fish I subscribed that’s for sure! 👏
Like the new catfish rod ,
The colors are what I was gonna paint my Jon boat ..
Was a nice change to vids tho for sure .. safe an fun fishing good sir
You might enjoy the story of what brought me here for some carp tips. I live in Chicago, and yesterday and I went up to Northwestern University, a beautiful campus with a beach on Lake Michigan, for some fishing lakefront fishing, hoping for bluegill or small mouth, but it turns the little cove was TEEMING with carp: standing on the rocks, I could sometimes see ten at a time. But I've never fished for them, and all I had were artificial lures, in which they took no interest. Coming back today with some corn!
Just found your channel! I love your videos man!
Always interesting to see how different american fishing is compared to european fishing
Great video very comprehend-able
Really enjoy carp fishing. Hard fighting fish
Hello Fellow Tennesseean... Just found your channel and really enjoying it TVA does enjoy messing with our water level for sure
Honestly I went carp fishing for the 1st time in my life and I used this exact method and caught 2 carp. The only thing I would suggest from watching other videos is take a look around before you cast because sometimes carp will let you know where they are if you know what to look for.
You are really a talented fisherman. Always put yourself in a position to be successful. Love it when you target other species. Awesome Missouri fisherman Brad Hilton has great success with carp for cats. Me not so much.
This was a great video. I can't believe I missed the 1st showing! Next time show the cast netting! I'm new to it!
Carp are really great freshwater fish to angle: they get decently sized (all the ones I've caught have been over 10 lbs.), they put up a helluva fight, and they are a welcome surprise when you're fishing for bluegill or cats... since they hit crawfish, shrimp, and worms.
Light tackle, medium tackle: doesn't matter. I had a 20 pounder hit my catfish rod that I loaded up with two big nightcrawlers on a circle hook a couple weeks ago. That was an exhausting, exhilirating fight. The pain was netting the thing as I fishing from a pier about ten feet above the water.
Awesome video. Respect for keeping it simple. I do the same thing
I like carp fishing. Good fighting and good fertilizer for the vegetable garden.
Always great bro 👍👍!
Great video!
rough day fishing, all I caught was big fish! Great video.
Great fighting fish, that is the rig I use all the time.
Awesome mate, love the carp you guys get in the states. In NZ we get some koi that keep their colours. Really cool got some footage on my channel too
This is how I fish for carp. A good ole fashioned Carolina rig, a #4, and some Jolly Green Giant sweet corn. The most important piece of gear is the rod holder. Seen many rods take off like torpedoes into the lake.
I lost one last year I'm only going to set it down for a second, Gone in a flash. 3 rd fish on that new rod. Baiting the old ones
@@garynorden1117 The one and only fishing pole I lost was when I was 10 & my pops was stationed in Nebraska. I had no idea what a carp was, had set my pole down to terrorize the minnows in the bucket, I didn't even see it go, I just heard it 🤣 Every chance I got I would warn people, don't leave your rod sitting or propped on a bench, they wouldn't listen and next thing you know, their pole turns into Kerri Strug doing cartwheels out into the lake.
great video, catching carp with simple rigging. in California shore carp fishermen fish with specialized gear; poles longer than Hwy 40, buzzing sensors, horizontal pole holders, big landing nets which may also land, blue fin tuna and chum using a David and Goliat type sling shot and land sonar floating sensors. l remember what my daddy told me when I was small "Don't ever spend a dollar on a ten-cent problem" It seems like one need "deep pockets" to fish for "catch and release" scavenger fish in my state. The bait: corn kernels same as you. Ha-Hai-Ha, thanks for posting. "Gee dad, this carp tastes like mud" lol Thanks for posting.
Right on bud. Liv it up
