Haven't even fished for carp in years. Your channel has inspired me to start again. Here in the middle of america carp are looked down upon. But a good fight is what I need.
Grab a plastic bottle, cut it into a scoop shape. Half fill it with corn, and throw. Adds a decent amount of distance.
Recently all I've used is krill, manilla etc and struggled to catch fish. I spent 6 months in oz this year and as I didn't have any fishing gear with me all I bought was a cheap telescopic rod and reel and used corn and caught the most carp ever. I'm going back to basics here I think. Cheers for the video carl and Alex.
This was one of the best if not the best tutorials I’ve ever seen.
I mix instant oats and red gatorade, form a small ball around a boiley on a hair rig....works great. Many times I have had people ask what I was using when their straight corn wasn't working. I'ts not a magic bait but it does work very well
Haha nice!! What ever works though! Sometimes we have to experiment.
Yeeesh! What a rig. I just use canned white corn on a #8 hook and no weight. Works great in areas without much current.
Yeah, really doesn't take much! I caught them on floating rose petals recently!! 🤣🤣
Sweet (literally) tutorial. In the States we usually keep it *very* simple. Just use canned sweet whole kernel corn (but creamed is OK for baiting a spot), string the kernels on a medium sized (#1 to 6) short shank circle hook with a bolt rig (tight line on a heavy weight), and use a reel with a loud line out alarm. Gives instant notification of a strike and hooks 'em on the corner of the mouth consistently. Free-lining also works, but there's a *much* greater risk of gut-hooking the fish.
Yessss! Nice work
After watching your videos, yesterday my son and I caught a 3.5lb carp with corn. Thanks
That is amazing! Well done
That's pretty awesome! Pretty fun fight, right??
One of the best most versatile baits there is colour it flavor it blend it the combinations are endless
Today i'm going carp fishing for the first time and i'm using your video to catch them. Thank you!
hi i’m a 🇬🇧 angler and i never go for a carp day/weeks without corn 👍 and just bog standard corn,it’s often a game changer!!,i use 1 kernel on a hair just popped up 1 inch above the real corn👍,one thing i would add is the natural sugars in the corn especially between spring and late autumn 👍,TOP BAIT
Caught a 5 kilograms one yesterday on corn... My daughters first fishing trip, she was amazed :)
I caught my first carp a few days ago
Congratulations and welcome to the end of any spare money you have. 👍
And now it begins

Honestly, you just saved because i have fished for years with corn, but never caught one, this helps a lot, thank you!
I will have to give this a go, back into fishing for the first time since I was a teenager
Me too, just dug out all my old gear and picked up my pole again after 18 years :)
👍
How are you been upto fishing so far Harris?
@@razoutFishing been pretty good actually. Usually able to get a couple carp an outing. Got a 20 pound catfish and a 20 pound carp this year.
@@theharris7207 nice! Glad to hear that you’re fishing :)
so here in the States me and my brother use french fries and its been very effective for the 10 yrs we have used it
Haha. Nice!!
That's awesome!! Any particular fastfood chain's fries, or just store bought??
@@KevinRapkochFishing i would say mcdonalds but lately its been hair rigs and pack bait, the results since switching over have been unbelievable
@@jeffy4368 that's really cool. I fish multi-species so often, but I do dabble with carp sometimes. I recently released a video of catching carp with rose petals (and fake flowers)!!
The best carp feed I've ever used is cattle feed😜 try that too
I follow you in Turkey with love
Very cool! Do y'all have carp fishing in Turkey?
Hi im from SA i have been fishing with diffrent kinds and flavors of corn for almost 14 years and is very affective and i highle recommend using corn
Awesome content! 👌 Carp fishing is great fun! 🎣
Another top quality video, you guys are by far my favorite fishing content on youtube.
Sweet corn was the bait I caught my first carp(crucian)over 30 years ago and they still love it now
I'm 9 years old and I when fishing 2 weeks ago and this video made me catch my first fish

BEST carp fishing video. Maybe written steps, names, etc.
Good idea!
Brilliant video.i fished with corn the other day and didn't get a nibble.now I know how to present corn I'm sure Ile do better.thanks for the advice.
Every sense I’ve watched this video ive been killing carp thank you so much man. I am now the weird guy who obsesses about carp fishing lol
Great detailed tutorial as ever guys, good for novices and experienced anglers alike.
Just wanted to mention that passing the loop through twice when forming the loop in the "lead" end of your hooklink is probably a bit more secure than just once, however i do understand that coated braid does knot up very strongly. Not trying to be an arse, ha ha ha. Keep up the good work. When are you guys coming to my lake in France then?
I was carp fishing yesterday and it was great with corn. I caugh 2, 5 lbs carp
Tutorial perfeito, obrigado por compartilhar. Também sou um apaixonado por pescarias. Saudações do Brasil.
Dude! Do not drain off the water and chuck it. Save it and use it to mix your ground bait. It will be packed full of the sugars from the corn and its an instant attractor
No point mate
Love the vids, just thinking Alex reminds me of a giraffe 🦒 😂
Oh wow.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He is so nice 😂
Fishing Tutorials giraffes are majestic animals
Rodney from only fools and horses more like 🤣🤣
Nice video for beginner carp fishermen/women!!

Really good method for catching carp fish....
Going to do some carp population control at the pond behind my work this weekend. Thanks for the rigging tutorial!
I’ve watched several of your videos and I can tell you’re a master baiter. Thanks for all your help!
You're very welcome :) Glad to help!
Caught my first ever carp today on corn
Congrats man!! ✌️🎣
Dette er en fisk! Wow!😲🤩
TUTORIALS ARE EXCELLENT
you guys are so lucky wish i could afford a rod tho big fan please keep it up and you guyz are what i want to be when im older u inspire me to go outside with frinds i borrow there rods
If you want big rods I would check out local flea markets, you can find 7-9 foot rods there, make sure the rod is good though and won’t break soon
I've only recently stumbled onto watching your videos I do love the fish you guys totally amaze me with the fish that you catch
Awesome vid lads 🔥🔥
Keep it up lads love the videos I actually just recently caught my PB with corn

I love your videos I’m a huge fan!!!!!!!
Thanks for your advice , i knew some of these but i like how u teach us , u do a great job , good luck in the future , hope u can give advices how to have better chance to catch fast carp on rivers that dont have much carp
i like to add salt to the corn so it changhes the pH of the water around every single corn grain, so i can put into the pva and cast it out, also salt when it dissolves in water creates a cloud of different pH water in the bottom that attracts carp, greetings from italy
Interesting tactic Marco! However salt dissolved in water does not create a chemical reaction so therefore does not alter the waters pH. !
Great video again guys. Don't worry about the armchair haters. They are just cowards. I've always loved your videos. Very informative and funny. Tight lines.
Thats good tutorial, Cheers from Indonesia
Hello! Thank you, glad to hear!
Still... my go-to bait.
Such a good bait
i fish carp with sweet corn since 1990 and it's already works
Such a great video you guys are like my role models great video keep it up👍
I think i should try this trick ... thank you for sharing this video bro ... lol
Thank you so much for tutorial. good job
Thank you for your efforts
Another great video! Any chance you can make a quick video on how to properly land carp? Been fishing today and had 4 bigger ones break me off, makes me believe that i'm doing something wrong yet i'm unsure of what it might be as I try to mimic your 'style' as well as other anglers.
Thanks for the tips..I'll try it later! 👍
You're welcome!
Best bait by far love the 🌽
Nice one guys excellent advice as usual 👍🎣😁
i hope you would make a video on fishing on rivers with high current , stones and with a simple setup available everywhere...since most of the stuffs you mentioned isn,t available in my country. thanks
Sweetcorn is probably my favorite bait...
One of our favourites too!
Amazing video 👏👏. Bravo
The legend Chris Yates wasn’t wrong 👍🏽
Indeed!
One of my most favourite baits
Thanks for giving such a beautiful video
You're so welcome :)
Can you use a hair rig for float fishing or should you use a hook bait?
Good video, it occurred to me that putting a grape or cherry or raisins on the hook might also work since they seem to have a likening for sweetness
I've caught a carp on a piece of apple, and a chub on a blackberry once! The joy of experimenting and making do in the spare of the moment haha
I caught a bunch floating rose petals recently, haha! They were all over them; it was crazy!
Wow thanks for good information and skills...Support your channel🎉🎉💥💥💥💥
Thank you! Glad to hear :)
The Best bait for carp!
Yesssss!
Hi frand it s 100% working
Super Bait, I always use corn.
Every professional!
I lived in Vegas and lake Mead has a huge head of large Carp. So many the birds walk across their backs when people feed the fish from the decking at the visitor centre.
Than you so much guys you are the best of the a best
Nice Tutorial.
Thanks
Thanks for sharing this video my freind
Is it possible to use a normal float setup and hold the corn on with the hook, the same as you would with a maggot
Yep! I do a float set-up with rose petals and fake flowers all the time!
Like it, pretty good advice. Do think you should mention it is maize not corn you need to prepare by soaking and boiling.
Another fantastic video lads. I would be interested in how you set up your swim when you first arrive for example do you lead around first spod out and then set up your bivvy or do you set up your bivvy first and accessories first then sort your rods out?
Certainly wouldn't call tench a nuisance fish. One of my faves. But each to their own. I will give corn a try again on the local, cheers.
One of our favourites too, but this video was about how to catch carp. If it was a video about how to catch tench, then carp would be a nuisance fish. :) Tight lines!
Amazing video like always and very helpful great job 👏👏 I'm fishing always with corn but I catch only the smaller ones because every body are fishing with this bait in this lake... so I will try next time fish with boilies something waht the carp in this lake never have see before, and I hope to catch some carp with them...
Thank you for sharing my friend.....
I never go fishing without corn, it out fishes everything else and is super cheap! I never though of just using fake corn before. I live in Richmond, Virginia and I'd love to stop catching snapping turtles (So glad I never had to contend with them in England (originally from Sheffield)) when fishing so I'll give it a try! Thanks guys!
What do you do when you get a snapper in the boat? That's a handful, I've moved quite a few from the roads around here but I can't imagine one with a hook in its mouth that you need to deal with
Thanks for this lads.
Our pleasure!!
On my way tomorrow to my first carp outing since before lockdown... Exciting stuff!!
People sometime don't even realise how corn can be effective.
Throw some handful of them in the spot you want to fish, put them on hook and it's done.
Been catching big carps just using a tin of corn.
Good video brother ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! :)
I prepared maize years ago and stored it in a air tight container. I plan on trying carp fishing again. When I opened the bucket the maize looks fine but it is hard since it sat so long. Can I use it like this or do I need to do something to soften it up again?
I'd appreciate your advice!
