- Proxxon FET Cheap Saw blade from China. Then I again bought a cheap saw blade in China. It saves nicely in soft wood and surprisingly well in MDF. Proxxon saw blades are still the best but I will be missing the old 24T saw blade.

Yes I agree, there are both good things and something that does not work for anything and then there are fun and exciting things you can not find elsewhere. Unfortunately, there will be a change in the rules for purchases in China from July 1, so it will be much more expensive for us in Europe to shop in China.
@@Harris-DIY The extra VAT and duty is still not much. The catch is the custom brokerage to clear the goods! If you can find their EU warehouse, you will be fine as they will have already cleared all the fees.
Aliexpress has already been collecting GST for Australia government, I guess they should be able to do the same for EU?
You are right VAT and customs is not the big problem, but if the money is to be collected by the Danish postal service, it costs DKK 165 ($ 25) extra and then the completely cheap purchases are over.

Nice clean cuts from extra teeth. If all else fails, you have some matching blades you could use as dado with a 1mm spacer between!
Yes for some things it is good with many teeth, my old Miter Saw has a 300 mm blade with 96 T and when it is freshly ground it can deliver a really nice cut, unfortunately the saw is very heavy and a sharpening of the blade expensive :-(
Hi Harris, I hope all is well. Im having a problem with changing blade on my FET. I can't remember if it's right or left hand thread. I can't get it to budge either way with allen key. Can you recall right or left handed thread please?
Hi John, I changed the saw blade a few days ago but I can't remember which way but I will find out tomorrow and let you know.

To loosen the screw, it must be turned the module. Try to clean screw holes with a needle so that the key can get a good grip on the screw. If you still can't get it off try heating it up with a soldering iron but not too much. If the screw is very worn, replace it with a new one. Hope it succeeds
@@Harris-DIY hi Harris, thank you for quick reply, unfortunately I don't understand "turned to module" I've tried Google translate right & left = højre venstre. I couldn't reverse translate module to anything other than modul. Can you help the wording again please?
To loosen the screw, turn it counter-clockwise - hope that makes sense.

there are a few places on aliexpress and eBay you can find this type of blades. I have tried it, it's good for soft wood, fiber glass/pcb and even Aluminium. It's not as refined as the Proxxon blades or Makita/Bosch 1mm kerf blades but a lot cheaper. I use the cheap blades to cut rough materials.
