    One huge difference between your channel, John, and the dozens of other similar channels, is that you genuinely CARE about the material you present to us. These aren't sensational stories being told because they're hip at the moment. You CARE about the people and situations you speak about. And that's also something to be noted about us BrainScratchers, we also care deeply. I'm proud to be one of the subscribers who has followed you since your first Geekendorx coverage of this case.

      The way John presents/handles the subject manner in a non sensationalized way, has me scratching my head wondering why his videos would be demonetized . I've watched stuff like 48 hrs., 20/20, dateline...and they have no shortage of ads. Same subject matter!

      I completely agree Salena! I was almost scared the "trolls" would find this channel. More subs often equates to more idiots. Mr. Lordan's crowd is always respectful and I think we take that direction from John himself. I hope it always stays this way!

    I'm really on the fence about the elevator footage. On one hand I understand that it sensationalizes the case, on the other I feel it's an integral part of it. I don't think you can tell the story without it. The footage exists unlike the "lid" on the water-tank which is conjecture. Unbelievably enough, water tank 'diving" is a "thing.!" Who would have thought? I've read it's a version of an isolation tank! I've never read or seen any documentation regarding this fact but I assure you it exists. The 'Lam Elisa" test is a head scratch (or brain scratch lol) Of all coincidences....it's just, well, bizarre. Keep up the good work John. Personally and respectfully I don't think the "creep factor" will ever leave this case regardless of the documentary approach. Staying and not straying from fact is admirable and the way to go with this case. Bearing that in mind the old adage holds up, truth IS stranger (or creepier) than fiction.

    The thing that is soooo vexing to me about this show (and the case in general) is the detective coming on at the end and saying that the public is not aware of all of the information that they know in this case. And that the detectives and the coroner *and* the family are satisfied that Elisa’s death was an accident. Well , if the case is considered closed, why don’t they release this information that has convinced everyone involved, including her family, that her death was accidental so we can all move on! There would be no reason to withhold info in a closed accidental case. Smh . . .

    Now that I realize that you'll have a larger part in helping create the series I'm looking forward to seeing them! Before I dismissed it as another horror-flick that would cast aside most truth in the case and draw some of the fictional elements (ie movie fantasy) away. Keep up the great work, I love listening about how you dissect a case and stay very balanced- observant to all facts. I subscribed to you after watching a missing persons case from a local.

    Did the helicopter that eluminated the roof top that evening have video? It seems unlikely that the police didn't have the camera recording. If the hatch was off it would seem impossible for the chopper to overlook that.

    The key fact that doesn't seem to be addressed is that the tank she was in was the primary tank and thus on level control, the pump is clearly seen that brings water into the tank from near the center top. Systems like this can control level to within an inch easily. Flow to the next three tanks would be mechanical, siphon, and apparently flesh blocked the siphon, low pressure, flows such that the tanks emptied reducing the water pressure of the higher rooms, not so much in the lower floors which still would have had sufficient liquid height. But the water level in HER tank should have stayed constant as it was on level control, and in that sort of system the full volume of the tanks is used for design efficiency so it can be assumed that the primary tank was set to maintain a high level, probably more than 90%, which would make the hatch less than two feet above a person in the water. It should have been easy to grab the hatch as a 5'5" person can easily reach 2 feet above water level. If the level control system was functioning normally, she should have been able to extricate herself from the tank. Regardless of all the other possibilities, the simple question is why did she not just climb out. It's either suicide or murder by manipulation of the water level control apparatus. Suicide by insanity makes the most sense.

    John, a possible correction on a comment you made here: it's been said by former police officer David Paulides that in general, male drowning victims tend to be found floating face down, but females typically are found floating face up; the reason apparently has to do with the general differences in body shape, considering men usually have a gut that is prominent while women's prominent area is lower near their hips/buttocks (hourglass figure), plus they have breasts which are natural flotation devices!

    • @LordanARTS
      @LordanARTS  6 лет назад +3

      I think that assumption is a bit questionable and depends much more on body type.
      people.howstuffworks.com/drowned-women-always-float-face-up.htm
      Based on the analysis at this site and knowing height/weight and seeing Elisa's body type via the video, I'm not sure Elisa had enough fat on the front portion of her torso to meet this criteria, but it's clearly debatable.

    Took a look at "Horror at the Cecil Hotel"part one.. I lived in van Nuys ca. when the night stocker was doing his stuff so that zzz me but..That all was well done I liked it. I still feel since I used to be a bad boy and spent time in down town LA partying on roof top's that. Some one talked Elisa Lam in to clime'ing the fire escape to the roof for drug,s looking like she was on them in the vid. Raped her and took her to the tank. I use to smoke on a roof top only a few blocks from there with a bud since we did not want the smell in the room. Plus the view when your high is grate. Being as that was we were not alone by far with this. Anyway I was born in Los Angeles in 61 a hippies kid and know a thing or two about the place. Peace !

      Your language is interesting. That and the fact that you know what goes on in the neighborhood etc, plus my own instinct tells me someone got drugs into her, willingly taken or not, and then got her into the tank. Rape would be a good reason to do that. Thank you for your comment.

  • @skylx0812
    @skylx0812 6 лет назад

    One thing that always made me wonder. In the comments of one of your Lam videos I mentioned that a stair, rails and ladder on that roof were painted bright red and maybe they stood out to Elisa the night she was up on that roof and perhaps she followed them to way to get up those tanks. And afterward in the documents from the wrongful death suit the attorneys for the hotel mentioned the bright red ladders as a way she could have gotten up the tanks. Its possible they were visiting channels and pages like yours to find points to address since you were going over the case so thoroughly. Anyway, the tone of the documentary seemed no different than any other sensationalized version of the case that's been put out there and they lost me at the disclaimer in the very beginning "certain events have been altered for dramatic purposes" so I knew this would only be a televised "version" and not the real case.

      Please tell us the name of the book. It's not Steve Hodel's is it? Thanks

    Here's a case is crying out for a "Case Cracked," though it hardly looks like an easy job: www.foxnews.com/us/2017/10/26/ny-woman-missing-since-1975-found-alive-in-nursing-home.html

    I watched the first one thought it was interesting but the experts I could take or leave, the second in my opinion way overdramatised and I don't think it was well researched I was disappointed actually and I thought it was leading the audience to think that the hotel guy did something

    I was bored out of my mind trying to watch it. It’s so much better to just research the events that took place there on your own. Far more detailed and interesting on all accounts.

    What’s the deal with RUclips and Elisa Lam?

    Why can't you say Elisa lam?

    • @LordanARTS
      @LordanARTS  6 лет назад +10

      Main thing is for some reason RUclips has a "demonitize any content discussing Elisa Lam" policy, but if you don't monetize it in the first place, then there's no issue. I'm always more than happy to discuss that case for free. She needs to be remembered as more than a paranormal video highlight.

    Why would anyone care if you’re making money off it anyway? Anyone who watches this channel knows you’re not some overdramatizing ratings obsessed phony. We know you don’t exploit these people’s deaths and that you actually focus on facts and that this is a labor of love for you. But if you DID get paid for your hard work and your time there’d be nothing wrong with that either. I at least hope you have some kind of back end deal Incase it blows up and becomes super successful!
