This is a fantasitc tutorial, i dunno if I would have the skill to do all that cutting to get thing connected so well like that, before seeing video's like these I was thinking of using a mix of tau and human arms, but forgot about the fingers, I didn't think people would overly notice that, I got a lot of the old guard kits which may make it easier to mix and match stuff compared to newer gaurd kits. i worry mostly of getting the weapons to work for the kitbash as the rest i feel is more easier to complete. but your video was very helpful and informative.
Thanks a lot for the nice compliment! It isn't really as hard as it looks, I suggest you try with one figure first and see how it works for you. In the worst case you simply just use the tau arms and say they have some sort of gloves. The sculpts aren't the sharpest anymore, probably you won't even notice that!
Okey. I really like the Tau. And I like the Guard. Really considering making a Guard army with a Tau theme now. regular Guard rules, just Tau aesthetics.
Good point. I didn't expect it to disappear, since they updated the kit recently with the new heads. But I had a look at the new kit for the cadian troopers and it should work the same. It's a bit more expensive but the result should also be prettier. Thanks for making me notice that, I will write it also in the video description.
This is made with contrast applied through an airbrush. But you can also achieve the same result with a normal brush. I can make a tutorial about the painting process if it would help you.
I tought about doing this, never imagined there would be such a detailed toturial with AMAZING results.
Thanks! I'd be glad to see your results too!
They look awesome

That's a nice idea too!
Awesome channel, conversion, and paintjob. Please continue uploading if you can (and teach us how to paint these guys!)!
Thanks! I'm working on an video about the Tomb Kings right now. I'm also working on some 40k videos too
Excellent video, can't wait to attempt this myself!
How well do you think this would work with the newer Cadian Shock Troops kit?
Hi, thanks! I'm glad this inspired you!
I didn't try it with the new guard but it should work the same.
Ok, Question, Where do we get a Cadian infantry box? They dont make them anymore.

@@ernamaisterENG No problem. I dont blame you for not knowing. Seems GW is "axing" their kits all the time.
What paint did you use? I want to paint my army like this

Absolutely amazing, great job!
Thanks a lot!
cool as a killteam but wouldnt say they have much value in a large scale battle
I use them as normal fire warriors. It's more of a "lore lover" project. It's also a bit cheaper than buying a second fire warrior team.
If I remember correctly, they had 7th ed rules
Really? I didn't remember that, maybe it was in a white dwarf?
@@ernamaisterENG I think forgeworld but that's what it says on online roster eddters
That can be, I need to research it!
