    @1:35 I got to stop the video to thank you right away, because I have watched probably hundreds of different guitar tutorial videos on RUclips and elsewhere. And from all the different "guitar teachers" in the videos you are the first person to edit in which frets/strings you are putting pressure on with your fingers. So many times a video will demonstrate a riff by having the guitar player just show the hand position on the fretboard. This way makes it clear which fingers are being used and which frets are to be avoided.

    cool concept! Could you do a video on how to skip the Keynote in such a progression? For example, if that here shown Riff is your main riff and you want a second part that is based on A or B just to give the song more color. How would you do this and also have a way to go back to the former Key?

    Man, i love how your guitar and ink almost seem to match. Love the riffs. Two questions, if you have the time. 1. I have an injury to my fret hand which makes using the pinky almost impossible. It hinders my ability to do alot of interesting chords but mostly the lead game suffers. The second, say a G5 power chord dor example. It would be 3E 5th on A and 5th on D.
    What is it called if you did 3rd on E and A then 5th on D and G. To me it emulates drop tuning, sounds thicker but the brightness brought into by using the g string offsets the muddiness and brings clarity. What would that formation be called. Thank you so much for reading and any wisdom you can share.

    • @4thebirds165
      @4thebirds165 2 года назад

      The 1st thing was a statement there was no question there and in relation to the 2nd thing, the actual question, if you play 3rd fret on E and A strings and 5th fret on D and G strings the notes are G, C, G(octave), C(octave) and that's just a C power chord but also with an octave of the same power chord. A good thing to do would be to learn basic theory and how notes relate in the making of chords etc. Also this is an almost year old comment so maybe you already know all this by now. Peace.

    the huge problem with writing riffs like that for me is making drums for that

    • @keinname1896
      @keinname1896 4 года назад +6

      Well, I tend write drums the same way as I write guitar. Do something really basic and first change it where it rubs against the underlying riff, than add accents that double or compliment the riff. And than there should be at least something acceptable at the end of the progress. :D

    Greetings and good day:
    I have a few questions before I sign up, which I am very much considering
    1) What’s the difference between doing this 10 week class and become a patreon on your patreon page?
    2) If I take your 10 week course, why would I need to become a patreon on top of that?
    3) Do you offer the Guitar Pro tabs as downloads? I notice the tabs look like Guitar Pro 7.5 or something similar. But it looks like GP 7.5.
    4) I did hear you mention “Lifetime” and I could come back and review or access anything for ever. But, but…..am I allowed to download and save everything? What happens if the Internet fails to exists in 5 years? Well, I guess that would have to fall under “lifetime”. LOL
    5) What’s the difference between 10 Steps to Modern Shredding is a 10 week online course and the Sweep Picking Masterclass is a 10 week online course?

  • @krisztianfekete3277

    Hey Bernth, when I try to pick chromatic scales faster than what I'm comfortable with, my left hand makes a hammer on sound right before I pick the note. It is like a few milliseconds before the picking, but I can definitely hear it. Do you think it is because my hands are not synchronised, or if I fret the notes too fast/hard and that's the problem? Thanks!

    • @MrDmadness
      @MrDmadness 4 года назад

      You are not properly muting, never practice faster than you can play perfectly, otherwise you are strengthening a weakness. The string should be muted by the picking hand when you initially press it, then unmute when pick, you may also be holding fingers too far off the fretboard, thus will result in more string noise when you get and will limit your speeds . :)
