- The roofs down, now it's time for the walls. Im on a mission to get the extension rebuilt as soon as possible. Summer is still here in the Algarve but rain will come sooner or later. Hopefully later.
Fill the boiler with a gallon of lemon juice and keep rotating it and all the calcium will dissolve.
My dear, are you wearing your back support brace when you do that shovelling?
Fun seeing the boys having the zoomies! Good progress 🍻🍻🐶🐶❤️
Hi Andy you made short work of them walls looking forward to seeing what your plans are but I guess you have it all planned.I’ve been looking at all your videos and Portugal looks a nice place so I’m going to albufeira for three days at the end of the month for a short holiday.😊
Thank you 👍
Those brick blocks a like Roman flue tile. I'm guessing there's a direct lineage.
Timber!!!
I'm very impressed with how much work you do.
I'm also impressed with how much thought goes into the different camera angles.

"Soda brand Bel Fruto, from the company Quintódio, was one of several brands of beverages produced in Faro, Portugal. Quintódio has also produced other sodas under brands such as Solfruto and Sufruto, excelling in the regional market for several decades.
While there isn't much detailed information on exact foundation and termination dates, it is known that the beverages of the Quintódio were popular in the Algarve region and possibly distributed in local markets until the mid-nineties. These brands represented an example of the diversity of regional sodas in Portugal prior to the dominance of large multinationals in the beverage sector, like the portuguese brand Sumol."
....
Considering that kind of bootle and its graphics, probably its from the 70's, mid 80's max (due to pyrographic label).
The bottle of Água Castelo (AC) for the same reason its also from the same years.
Cheers from Lisbon.
@@miguelrecio7464 👍 nice one
❤
Indeed, 70's to early 80's, I believe the date was inside the bottle cap.
Apparently they are collectables now :)
AC on that bottle means Agua Castelo which is a brand of Portuguese water
Hi Andy I see you've hit the 100ksubs well done for all the interesting videos thanks
I so enjoy seeing your progress.
Your camera angles are outstanding....a true artist at heart!
Have been watching all your hard work from the beginning of the house in the village, with your brother, most enjoyable!👍. So cheers from a fellow renovator and as I am on my last house now, I also appreciate that we only really see a glimpse of all the other work you are doing. Hope that RUclips give you a good return for all your content, you deserve it.🔨🔨🔨
@@andrewhirshbach7097 thanks Andrew. Good luck on yours. Nice to know someone understands how much goes into renovating outside what’s shown. I get diesel money and treats for dogs with earnings, but I’m not complaining. 👍
Hi Andrew, could you remind me what your plans are for the area you have demolished please? Will the room connect directly into the house? I have lost track of your plans. All the best and keep safe.
Me too I’m confused
@@jillianpratten4402 same plans. Bedroom.
You got yourself a ready-made wardrobe!!
@@blondguywhy demolish it though?
@@grisza77 same reasons I explained last vid and this vid
Great investigative demolition/ Construction/ Treasure Hunting..Great to see you getting back to your positive best...Has the Giraffe 🦒 wandered off into the Cork Groves yet...The Kubota is a fine addition and proving very useful ...We keep watching, wondering what's around the corner and look forward to more interesting episodes..❤❤❤.
Paul and Ruth... Albufeira
"our" giraffe still stands! 🤎🦒🤎
I do so love that giraffe, Andy is a brilliant artist.
When you said "Bloody marvellous". I burst out laughing. Such an English expression!
They say cold showers good for the brain 😂😂 My brain not doing so good !!😮😮
Mind the back sir. Proper technique will keep you off the disable list.
Great storage find under the stairs. What a lot of work you can achieve in a short time, working solo is not easy.
I don’t get why you destroyed a perfectly (maybe ceiling wasn’t 💯 but..) good space you could have use as storage, or pantry or walk in closet!
Also, why aren’t you wearing your back belt, safety glasses 🤦🏽♀️
He’s building new walls, can’t take them down without removing the ceiling first..
Nice work Andy the house is coming on well and so are you … your looking very fit and Handsome 😊
Are you planning to have a high ceiling in the extension up to the roof terrace level. Could make a nice feature with a sky light.
500ml of white vinegar 4 table spoons of salt and a couple of squirts of washing up soap in a sprayer sort these weeds out spray at night tho 😊
If your rebuilding the walls why not look a a timber solution, it would be far quicker & cheaper to build a modern thermal timber framed extension than more bricks & mortar, just an idea.
Your arms must have felt like they were going to drop of after using that sledge hammer.
But we’ll done you and bonus finding that secret room as you said it will come in handy for storage.
Those tomatoes 🍅 look delicious and growing wild they are the best tasting ones better then store baught tomatoes.
Great work Andrew! And some treasure at the end! Cool bottles. I love how the dogs keep each other entertained.
Old Castello water bottle, they were in business long.
Congratulations on your 100k😊
Andy do an image search of the bottle loads comes up
I really enjoy watching you work. You're careful, meticulous, methodical and best of all, you clean up as you go.
Is the staircase supported without the walls on either side or will you have to put something else up?
Will and Chris are such a welcome distraction 😁.
Andy, don't destroy the shower screen. The dogs can lay down under it ,just for a bit of shadow.I bet they will like it.
Very well done Andrew. Wow such a great job, all that demolition. Please mind your back and your arm. Take it easy on yourself. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️
I kept wondering why I enjoy your videos over some others who do similar if not exactly the same types of things. It’s your editing skill and camera angles that keep it interesting and enjoyable. I love to watch and see how things are evolving. Thank you for all your hard work.
Thank you for the great videos my friend.
I'm glad you did not find anything nasty in that cavity ...you never know ...
Nothing like a chilly shower to motivate and speed along progress 😂You'll be working on the inside fun stuff in no time! Great space under the stairs!
Thanks for sharing another good video. Your creativity and humor really shine through. I especially loved the brief portion featuring your dogs playing. Those little moments are nice. The "art direction" on this video stood out. Nice editing, too. Always makes my day when you share another slice of life.
You've already spoiled us, telling us what you're doing and why, and all the whichy what wherefores ! So...we're just trying to stay on it with you :) All the best, this next week! P.s...might have weirder weather this fall, so batten ye hatches tighter, quicker than ya might normally... ;)
We love your videos we have been with you from the beginning you are an inspiration take care my friend ❤from 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Watching you take down those walls was super satisfying to watch. Especially that last one! Great work!
Editing propably took you a while with this one, thx for that!
I was in India for a while, despite the humidity and stifling heat cold showers were bloody horrible.
You've made some temporary things really well thats why they take some time to dismantle,😂 great vids, when is the new channel going to be happening,👍
Nice vlog Andy.😊
Hi Andrew, The rebuild is coming along nicely. Any extra space you can take advantage of the better, you can't have enough storage space. Cheers 🇨🇦
Hi, it's from the 1970 the glass bottles 🎉😊
I for one, love the new format keep it up matey love from blighty.
Great work at last your on a winner just as we thought the "whole place" comes down for dry filling and a concrete raft love the video just keep going..
garrafa de água de Castello
I grew up in an area of California (Monta Vista, which has since been absorbed into Cupertino) which had a Mediterranean climate. Back in the 50s and early 60s
some parts of Monta Vista looked like your part of Portugal. Our front and back yards featured, pomegranate, avocado, walnut, almond,Japanese Cherry, Granny Smith apple, fig
and prune trees. I used to think that you went into your yard and picked breakfast off a tree or two. God bless you Andrew.
Great video. I loved that staircase wall coming down and that fact that it will give you some extra room. See you next weekend.
What a great find and great to keep as the bottle with your initials on. A lot of work but hope you're able to move in before Christmas even if there are a few jobs still to do
Great work👏👏

Pois sempre comenta a mesma coisa! Mas …🤷🏽♀️ ele não nos ouve! As costas deveria estar usando cinto de segurança! Ele já machucou antes!
Where are your gloves Andy ??????????????????????????????
I remember how excited you were the first time you used that outdoor shower. You are making progress and I can't wait to see the final product of this renovation/remodel.
Hi Andy, could you not have utilised that room for some purpose? 😊
He's going to rebuild it double walled for better insulation
That will be amazing storage giving the room lots of space for I assume a 🛌
Great work! Your strength and perseverance shine in every scene.
25.50 must have felt so satisfying. Watching it is so fun.
Hard to see that shower go, I've been following you since you installed it.
100K!
Cool find. Wonder about that cement bowl thingy.
Cool found space!
I live in a 627 sq ft frame cabin in NW Montana, USA, and space is premium!
This series is awesome to watch and I have enjoyed each and every episode!
Thanks for taking me (virtually) Along 😊
Looking good mate moving on nicely now
Yay! 100k!
Bless the hands that does all the hard work
Thanks Andrew for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you 🙏 good work 👍😁.
Cherry Tomatoes great find you can make great sauces from them, also fabo in salads! Your making great strides Andy👏👏👏. Watching from Australia 🇦🇺 also watch your Brother & his beautiful Wife on their Channel.
Aw darn. No gold, no jewels, not even collectable old girly magazines. 😂
it's easier to make a horizontally hole in the lower part of the wall you want to take down, then the rest of the wall will fall down by itself, and break into smalleer parts, in aa way like the wall under the stairs comes down.
Secret room whhoo
Wow, 100 videos since Bill & Ted's favourite. Time fly's....
Great progress this week, well done!
Excellent,hard working day!
The only channel Im subbed to on RUclips that I look forward to weekly. Great great channel.
You should sub to his brothers channel too.
@@galdessa1 do you have a channel link? i thought i was subbed to it but im not seeing it listed anymore.
Hard work does not scare you -- even when it's hot as "blazes" out there.. "for the joy that is set in your future.." you'll take it.
You need a 200 euro solar shower from the brick and mortar stores, easy win for an outdoor shower and they look quite good,
Solar shower andrew
Okay, news to me but there are vine and bush tomatoes. 🎉 ❤ 😊 and CONGRATULATIONS! 🥳
I can see a wardrobe under the stairs.
Agua Castello its not water its Castello, natural spring carbonated water, best thing for just about anything to do with your stomach.
Água Castello is a natural carbonated water with a high bicarbonate level and 2 levels of carbonation added.
In 1899, with the company Assis & Co, the brand was born, using the source of Santa Comba, one of the 3 hydro mineral springs that exist inside the castle walls. The first bottling unit was inside the Castel walls where the brand gains is name “Água Castello” water from the castle.
@@galdessa1 are you sure it's not juice? the word sumo means juice in portugese (I tnink..) + there are some oranges , or lemons? printed on the bottle.
I love how meticulous you are while you work.Great job Andy.
❤👍🏼Looking good Andy. Definitely needed coming down. Great extra space! Shelves maybe? Have a great week. 💞
How was there still red liquid in the bottle???
Love these videos just the way you do them. Exciting find! Hope you get some time off
now and then. Just watched videos of all the beautiful scenery and fascinating locations,
rock formations, etc., in Portugal. What a wonderful place!
Run your shower water through a black supply line coil sitting in the sun if you have...works.
Yes! A contractor's "sun shower", great idea!
Good tear down work and good video editing 👍
Interesting what you find.
Andy brilliant looks so much better....what a find with your initials on the bottle 🍾.
Wow! You are up to 100 k subs. Beautiful! Maybe Cristina will be able to date the bottle. I can't wait for more🙂👍🇨🇦🐕
Hey Andrew! I'm just a subscriber to your and this guy's channels, but you might enjoy @rockykanaka. He makes his own dog treats ad they seem amazing. Will and...Chris? they'd love those treats. Anyway, I'm glad you're getting things done while maintaining your health. So excited to see what you're building over there! Love and hugs to all you fellas (you and the doggies). Regarding the bottles you found: if the beverage is still made, you might be able to find out when they used that version of the design of the product. Companies like to update things from time to time ~
Nice 👌🏻
Andrew I wonder if you are doing as I do, that is procrastinating over the inside so you can still change your mind over the layout because you have not started yet 😂.
Enjoying watching your progress, well done
has the other chanel just building come on line yet?
I love the slow motion! Reminiscent of Kurosawa’s the seven samurai!
Cold showers are good for your body, especially for your joints 😀
True, but...🥶🥶🥶
Exciting progress.
great potential for a built in cupboard space for the room
before you forget, you did tape the bracket to the water tank?😁
Hi. Wouldn’t it be easier to rebuild with wood?
