Thank you Andy. Another splendid video. Love the precision in levelling everything. I like the fact that you don’t get cross with your dogs for using your building material as a sand pit. They look content. Great job all round. Glad to see you enjoy your food. Keep up the good work. Always looking forward to next episode.
I rather enjoy the commentary along with what you are doing. That is what makes us keep tuning in. It is as personal to us to see you achieve this dream with the house as it is for you. Your commentary takes us along on that dream. So ignore the nay sayers please. And another great episode by the way.
Nice to see the rest of the walls down and the rebuilding of them start. We know you are on a time crunch, so I don't think most of us mind you not filming it all.
I admire your ambition and the quality of the work you do. You do not shy from challenges. Personally, I would find it near impossible to work in that site environment... growing up we were taught , First order of business - get materials organized. Last order - clean up the site. Spend half a day with broom, shovel and wheel barrow - get ALL that debris cleaned up and out of your way. The job will go much smoother if you are not stepping on or tripping over rubble. Ok, bring on the hateful comments, I'm a big boy.
Watching you work, methodically, slowly and thoughtfully makes me feel calm. Love watching your progress, all the best for a smooth run and no injuries 😊
After having to deal with wonky carpentry, I truly admire your attention to detail and alignments. Great job. I actually bought a laser level after watching your village house rehab project vid. Your work is plumb. Happy trails!
Wonderful video. Thanks! Hope you, the pups and yours are well (the dogs certainly seem happy). Lots of changes and progress! Love the artistry and editing. All the best.
Congratulations Andrew on reaching 100,000 subscribers, fantastic. Your videos are great, just full of the countryside views, information and dedicated hard work, not full of ads like most RUclipsr's do. Love the way you share your food with your beautiful boys too, I have two Toy Poodle girls who love nothing better than sharing my toast with me in the mornings.
Oh andrew you are my sunday morning treat ❤ having lived in old scottish cottages whilst doing them up sleeping in the only room with floorboards ( in sleeping bag on the floor in winter I may add) I chortled and nearly choked on my tea when you stated keeping window ( next to open door gap) cut down the dust....then instantly remembered the time when I said something very similar so thanks again for sharing and bringing back memories
That looks like it will be a nice big addition Andy! Great work at getting it underway. That is going to be a lovely space out the back of the house. Yummy breakfast but I noticed you have a metal brush on your grill. You probably know this but those are bad for shedding metal slivers that get lodged in intestines and throats and there have been lots of warnings about not using them in North America. Pumice stones work great for cleaning the grill and are much safer 😊. Keep up the great work!
Those soppy dogs! I’m surprised you take them for a formal walk when they race around themselves but I guess it is time together that keeps the bond strong -and forces you to down tools
When you get going, you REALLY get going! Well done! I look forward to seeing how far you get each week. One of the many things I like about your channel is that you tell us what your thinking/planning and then carry on. I do question doing construction in flip-flops, but hey, they're your toes. We're expecting a week or so of overnight temperatures of 4-6°C. Time to cover the plants.
Hello there! I would recommend you to consider the option of put the insolation on the outside of the big mass (more thermal inertia) wall element. Is u what to use ciment blocs, place then on the inside, and place the thinner bloc or bricks on the outside of the isolation . Best regards from a civil engineer
Living in an apartment in a house from the early '50s with fairly thick concrete walls, original exterior was rendered. About 20 years ago 150-200 mm Rockwool panels were added to the outside and then clad with corrugated metal. The internal temperature now remains quite constant over the year with minimum effort (to be fair, not situated in a anyway extreme climate, here on the Swedish Westcoast.)
I hope you're doing well. Nice to see you working on your house. Good to hear your brother is helping you as well. Curious as to your long term plans once your home is finished. More houses?
Really enjoyed all the "work" you had to do in this week's video. Great idea with the list; doing that keeps one on track, doesn't it. I envious of how easy it is for the vendors or delivery people to roll up with supplies: sand, blocks, whatever... I have slopes too steep for them to get things close to my worksite. Cheers from Japan.
Andrew you can easily twist the wire around the rebar using your drill, just tighten the chuck on the wires and set the torque low so the wire isn’t broken.
Hello, instead of narrower block and brick for your wall, just pour your footing wider and block around the outside face of columns, then you have a large space for insulation then your brick as the inside face. Cheers
Great idea the new windows and doors with silicone will keep those cracked walls together stop the structure from falling in on its self good thinking .
Skeleton building is not my favorite. But you are doing a great job with this one!😊 ohh man andy these dogs what a life the have.keep watching your self
get an intern, andy. you built several houses now even though you always say you dont know what you are doing and they are still standing. the intern can do all the **** jobs and save your back. i would like to see how the underground tank is doing/
Just returned from a week in the Algarve, not sure how you manage to do so much physical work in the heat of the day? Missing it already after watching this!
Back Problems and footwear has to do with the bottoms off the footwear not the type off it. I always wear flip flops when possible, and I always have proper ones that are very comfortable for your feet and not these cheap flat ones. There are also very bad shoes to walk on, best solution is to go to a specialist and ask them, google is not one off them.
Health and safety alert here again! Andrew is the most frustrating person to watch on YT - pays no attention to lessons learned from previous errors, flip flops on a building site 😱. Hopefully he will be lucky and nothing will happen but safety boots are surely a must
So no mention this week of the other channel you spoke of previously? CERTAINLY not trying to needle you in any way, rest assured ✌️😊 just inquiring about your plans thereabouts. Kind regards, pets to the boys, and thanks for the content, as ever. 👊
Pretty thin insulation Andy, why not go around the pillars with the brick work & afford some efficient insulation or buy modern insulated panels , or timber even.
I love your videos Andy. You explain the process on your build. I appreciate your hard work and dedication.
Nice progress. Yes, will miss the giraffe.
Wow! Things are coming right along. Intereting build. It really is quite a big job for one person. But you got it covered. 🙂👍👍🇨🇦

Really admire your own schedule commitment - in that weather I'd be lazy some days!

Oh no! Got to keep the giraffe 🙏🏻
Great opening sequence! I bet that took some editing time to get right. 👍

This would be a good room for your kitchen. You could make a nice courtyard with a pergola there also.

Fab vid this week Andy, so well put together. A bit of everything. Lovely.
Andy, loving the project mate 🎉💥🍺👍🫵🏻

What time do you see the house finished approximately?
Stay well....

Good to see you were wearing your Virtual Safety Toe - Capped Flip Flops Andy !!
I don't know about you Andrew , but I'm ready for fall to come and cool things off.
Puts some work boots on, before you have another foot accident 😅!
Too hot! I am sure he has considered the risks & carried out a risk assessment! Love It!
👍👍👍
I love your little tractor and trailer
At one point I lived on a boat at Vilamoura Marina and I detested the Levante winds, all he rigging on the modern boats jangled all ight and day!
Skeleton building is not my favorite. But you are doing a great job with this one!😊 ohh man andy these dogs what a life the have.keep watching your self
Great! Bigger extension. Is it going to have a pitched roof?
😊
Third👌

He could get a work away!
@@LittleChena oh, is that what you call a helper in australia, i presume? interesting!
@@spicynomad
It called workaway here in the US.
People are coming for a few weeks, working 4 hours the day for food and a place to sleep.
The underground tank doesn´t hold any water as itś blazing summerheat, yoú ll need to wait for the rains to come before it will fill up.
@@LittleChena i didnt know that. they are usually called interns in all industry. i guess for immigration/visa purposes they are called workaway.
You might use some of the form planks to make bins for sand, stone and what-have-you.
I thought your red for danger had Pegasus in it's tank! 😁
What's in the green tent? I don't remember seeing it before.
Just returned from a week in the Algarve, not sure how you manage to do so much physical work in the heat of the day? Missing it already after watching this!
If you work in one spot a little fan will keep those buggers away.

You should put insulation also on the pilar / column. If not it is a thermal beige
Thermal bridge

They are called window cills and door thresholds
cills, yes 😖
