This was by far the most difficult keyboard replacement I have ever done. I am going to be really careful to not get water on this keyboard because I DO NOT want to do it again. Thanks so much for this video. I would never have thought of melting the plastic to hold it together. Thanks!

The soldering just melts the plastic tips on the case so the keyboard and shield can't come off. There is no electrical or metal stuff going on at all :).

What kind of sadist designed a plate held on with melted plastic that has to be removed to replace a keyboard? I can replace most laptop keyboards in 5-10 minutes. This one took me an hour.
