Do you think it will be possible (in the near future) to use live components to swap out cabinet doors, style & size etc? This would be a game changer in the kitchen business & save us designers a lot of tedious work & time.
Why bother releasing this without authoring tools? Is this intended as a replacement for dynamic components? If I were to reverse engineer from the component attributes, could I create these from the ruby console? What is the actual intent here?
they need to add python or other scripting support inside of their components. That will still require to have some programmatic skills, but will be much easier then making extensions.
Hello. You do good tutorials about sketch up. I have a question on ''ruby tools'', what is it and how we can use it. Any tutorial on this tool. Thank you.
Beware to perpetual 2020 Pro license holders, after 11/2/20 you can’t renew, forcing you to go to a subscription of more than $200 a year. My pro license expires in April of 2021. My software shows Pro version, in my account with Trimble it shows my version is the free version and no payments have been made in the past. Except I have receipts of $180 payments for maintenance etc. for years. WTF???

Are these basically dynamic components, with a new more real-time control interface?

Maybe link a low-poly Live Component to a proxy high-poly model for render?
I usually say nicely done, but I’m getting tire d of say that every time I watch these videos. This time, I’ll just say WOW!
Love this video! ^_^
Excellent, never knew live components existed.

You have found a place Trimble hasn't been to ... yet.
I cannot use live component because it is marked like this. Is there a solution?
Looks lovely

Thumbs up 👍👍👍
sketchup should introduce a simple gumbll or gizmo for quick transforms.
can we make our own live compnents??
wonderful
Nice!
A configuration element should be “rise and run”.
For stair example in live components, that is...

Super cool, I have purchased apps where I need to pay to do some of this!
