This demo teaches you a great deal about EQ and this amp without all the modern day distractions that other amps have will teach you a heck of a lot about tone. Great amp, great demo, thank you.
@@desmondmiles1066 Well, what was the meaning of 'L,' because I couldn't find squat?! After all, I wasn't looking for the bad reviews, I ran into them trying to answer your question. 😂
@@Da_Publick lol, this was long time ago. I just pulled the trigger on what's available. I think the L stands for Limited, specific to that year. Now they use Super or RT
@@desmondmiles1066 The Super Crush is a series of professional level amplifiers, and 'RT' stands for Reverb/Tuner, as applies to the Crush 20 and Crush 35. They used to have an 'LDX' model, though. 🤷🏽♂️
I bought the amp 2nd hand off FB Marketplace for $60 in a direct handoff from the owner. I certainly would not pay more for it than that. I would recommend a Marshall MG10 or Squier/Fender 10W over it as a BR practice amp. I am not very fond of the 12L. Although it is very loud in the house, I must agree with an issue using it in a club without micing if there is any noise or drums. This demo is quite complimentary to the actual sound of it IRL.
I am stumped. I do not manage to get a metal tone like that at the end of this video. The EQ knobs seem to do very little, basically only the G and OD knobs have an effect on the sound. Overall, it is good for blues not so much for hard rock. Note I used a humbucker equipped guitar
I don't own the amp, but i highly doubt the crush 12 has the power to do anything besides bedroom practice. I doubt the orange crush 20 would be able to either. If you mic'ed it i'm sure it would be fine.

This is deffinitely not an amp for acoustic guitar - trust me! ;) You can try it with hollow body playing some jazz - no problem, probably even some interesting results. But not with acoustic guitar ;)
Hi, I have a question, when you raise the volume, overdrive and gain at the top do you get an awful noise? or at least if the volume is at twelve o clock? that happens to me with this amp :(
This is how you demo an amp.
+Joshua Fraser Thanks!
+Portal Gitarowy I just wish every amp was reviewed this way. You really get an idea of the range of the amp.
In a perfect world, all amp demos would be like this!!! Thanks!
That sound right at the 2 minute mark is like the best budget Hendrix sound I have ever heard.

Thank you for a GREAT demo with none of the annoying chit-chat
Awesome little amp
+Joe Pedersen I think so too! ;)
Just got this. Dialed in that Foofighters sound from the first album. Awesome little practice amp.
You had it with everything at 12 o'clock, and the Overdrive at 3 o'clock, IMO. This has a great overdriven sound, like a built-in distortion pedal.
Hell Yes!!! This is what I been Looking for...
Great demo! Thanks!
Excellent review
Hey man, can you tell me what's the difference between Orange Crush 12 and 12L? What's the meaning of L?
Dunno; all I found was numerous complaints that the amp stopped working after a few months.
@@Da_Publick Nah, got mine 6 years ago. This one has one of the best tone I've had for non tube type. Still alive and kicking!

should i get the fender frontman 15, vox v9158 or orange crush 12?
Can this handle stompboxes? Overdrive, delay, chorus, graphic equalizer etc? And can we gig on this amp? Lets say a small venue aeound 50 people?

as long as there’s no acoustic drums it’ll do a small venue... but i would go with the 20 anyway

i wonder how would that work as an amp for acoustic guitar, say like for jazz music?

Hey, nice video. Is this amp any good for metal?

no this is not for metal at all.
Laney mxb 30r or orange 12l combo amp?
Czy ten wzmacniacz trzeba podpinać do prądu czy można równie dobrze grać na bateriach?

+Brayanrl19 This is totally normal on full volume/gain settings. But you can compare it to the same amp in the nearest music store :)
+Brayanrl19 Yeah! good idea, thank you, that i'm gonna do
Brayanrl19 you get that overdriven errrrrrrr noise. Can be easily cut down and reduced though.
10 sec of intro, 10 sec of outro and no BS in between. So many people could learn from you
tenho 1 desse e toco é metal pesado🤘😈
