I love this amp! It sings classic rock perfect with the volume at 8 and the both gains set up to half way or just under. Then take off the back panel so the speaker can breath.
Bought one for our Daughter for $40 off Marketplace, amp kicks a$$. Hooked it up to a Marshall 4x10 cabinet, pushed it well. Used it at gigs, sometimes mic’d , man did it sound good.
Good to know. I always enjoyed orange amps. Never had one but always liked the tone they put out. Got this one and a 3/4 squire strat for Christmas for my daughter. I wanted to make sure she had a decent beginner set up. This is way better than those small beginner amps I started with that sounded like you stabbed the speaker 😂😂
I was looking to pick up a better home practice alternative than my Blues Deluxe. I have the Boss Waza Air, and I have Amplitube as well. I would find myself playing Strats unplugged when I was just trying to squeeze in some time at the end of a busy day. Wanted an amp that I can just fire up quickly and get some nice clean tone. Watched some demos and reviews, including this one.Took everything within me to walk out of the store with this $99 amp instead of a Vibro Champ. Pretty satisfied with my purchase right now. It’s more than worth having in the herd for $99…can’t believe I put that much energy into the decision. Im over the Vibro Champ, but I’m gonna still itch for a ‘57 Champ. I can take my time thinking about now though.
I'm buying this or the 20 tomorrow think I'm going with the 20 for 24 dollars a month can't beat it and will sound great with my pedal board Rock On Brotha 😎💯👍
This is 6” speaker with 12 watts. I have learned the hard expensive way that I’d rather have a 12” speaker with 1 watt to get the hardcore heavy “Dual Rectifier” sound I want.#Orange#MicroDark#GetOne#🎸🤘🏻🔥
Yes, Orange has Great amps just saying later you may want to switch to a 12” driver for deeper lows and just a full all around sound! I used a 20 watt Peavey 6505 Piranha micro head w/6505 1x8” driver for years!#🎸🤘🏻🔥🔊Peavey
I am obsessed with high-quality sound and I know how much the power cable affects the sound. This kid makes it possible to connect it to the power grid with a good expensive cable. I wonder if I will be able to hear the sound improvement in all respects in this case?
Keep it up, I love the quality of your videos! I'm looking for a little amp to put in my basement, but your video is making me think I need to put one in my studio!
Here because I bought this amp, I love it but wanted to know if you can do all the crazy stuff like all the other Orange amps can. Turns out it does. Gonna try these suggestions out next time I plug in.
Hi Derek! Another fantastic video!! Which Orange amp is more suitable, in your opinion/findings, for a bedroom use? Crush 20 with lower volume or Crush 12 with higher volume? Which one of these will create better tone? Thanks :)
With a fuzz/reverb/distortion or whatever you want, do you think alternative rock/grunge can be played decently? Grunge Is not about the gear i know but of course the sound matters
Is this amo meant for heavy metal, cuz I have this same amp for my son, when he saw your video on how to get a heavy tone, it just sounded staticky can all I was could here was like buzz type noise
Great presentation. Great video narration. Great playing. But damn. Not sure which i dislike more- Those ibanez pickups, or that amp. Just thin & dead. I mean, i get it... its a cheap combo all the way around... but still. Take a nice dialed in epiphone with 57's or MIM strat with phat 50s pickups and a Champ5 knockoff and youll have tone and warmth thatll blow that pair out of the water.
Hi i love your vids. Does this amp take distortion pedals well? I play nirvana so use a ds1 and currently using a champion 20 seitching from clean to ds1 as nirvana does but the champion doesn't take distortion pedals so well
The Crush 20 does take pedals well, but I have not tried the Crush 12. I think it would handle them well, but I am not sure. Thank you for watching and commenting!
I got to play this amp at a local music store today and really wanted to like it, but I noticed a funny static like noise that lingered in the background whenever a note was played, even with a clean tone. Is this normal? Maybe because the speaker is so small? Or is there a possibility that there was something wrong with the amp I was testing? Thank you so much for your time!
Can i ask you if there's any kind of static noise you can ear from yours ? Just got one and with or without guitar plugged in i can ear a "shhhhhhhhhhhh" noise
I have an Epiphone SG standard and am wanting to have a metal sound. Black Sabbath.. Machine Head.. and most grunge. Is this a good choice? If not, what amp would suit the guitar and type of music I’d be playing?
can you show how to record sounds “bedroom in my head” is the song im trying to play and i cant figure out how to record the tapping sound in the begging for when i play the rest
dont put this amp anywhere near metal. aint happening. all this amp can do is make you sound muddy. with the treble knob at 10, mid and bass knobs at 0, ran through a treble booster and 7-band boss eq pedal with the treble levers maxed, bass and mids at 0, its still too muddy. itll still sounds exactly like this demo. VERY disappointing. if you want a metallica-type of sound on the cheap, get a blackstar stereo10
I've had a pathfinder 10 for about a month and already looking for another amp. It's a great amp don't get me wrong, I just don't like the 'twangy' sound, and even on the clean channel you have some overdrive (even at low volume). I'm just looking for a basic analogue amp now (10-20 watt) that does not have any fancy effects built into it, to have a proper clean sound so i can use pedals for desired sound.
@@hotdogwater7037 I definitely want to review the Pathfinder 15R. I have heard only amazing things about that amp! Thank you for watching and commenting!
The gains and overdrive sounds dogshit , lol but for beginners it makes since you always need a starter amp before upgrading to the amp you really need to benefit your play style

The amps natural distortion isn't the best for metal. I recommend getting a distortion pedal. The amp handles pedals really well.
would this amp be good for playing everlong or be quiet and drive by the deftones

It breaks up when you turn the gain/overdrive up enough. Turn the gain and over drive down and see then.
Good review. Would have been better to show or tell the actual knob settings with tone.
Thanks a lot for the demo ❤❤❤
I’m between this one and Roland micro, suggestions?(of course the Roland is a bit more affordable for me)

Amps like those are ok, what really matters is having a Multi Effects Pedal, with a device like that, you can play almost every tone you want.
@@123kennix I ended up buying a Boss Katana mkll
Best settings for heaviest sound? Standard 6 string.
How is the clean sound with reverb?
will it work well with a bass? just to play at home
Does it make any tonal difference how I use the volume knob on the amp relative to the guitar?
Do you think this or the marshall mg10 is better??
Both higher gain with low overdrive, and low gain with high overdrive, sound messy. Setting both of them high sounded decent.
orange crush 12 or laney lx15?
Hi do this good taking pedal like nux mg300?
Which ac adapter can you use ? 12 volt or 9 volt.
Which series of Ibanez guitar you used give me full name plz
Ibanez RG550 (manufactured around 1989-1991).

Can I use this amp for my keyboard???
I've heard from online reviews that you can.
If you could let us know what exact settings you used on the amp, that would be great.
can you show how to record sounds “bedroom in my head” is the song im trying to play and i cant figure out how to record the tapping sound in the begging for when i play the rest
I have a rumble 40 because I have a bass. Should I get this little amp or stick with my rumble 40?
Probably the rumble. Those rumbles are great.
Does it work for bass guitars?
Wouldn't sound good
Orange crush 12 or marshall mg10
Is this good for beginners?
I would say yes! I got this amp a few years ago when I first started to play my electric guitar.
