I really enjoy your pods!! Thank you for keeping us updated on this horrible person! Maybe a a suggestion for another time-try having everyone wear headphones so you don’t all talk over each other? (I hope this doesn’t come off as rude, only trying to be helpful). ☺️💕

Loved this pod episode! I'd likely also not make it through this book so appreciated being able to hear about it, instead!

Great podcast! I’m going down a Marilyn Manson rabbit hole. Tom O’Neil, author of “Chaos” Charles Manson, The CIA, and the Sixties” talked about how brilliant, intelligent, witty, funny, smart.., etc. MM is. I also listened to Marc Maron’s podcast from 2014 with MM. I’m not a fan of MM, but I was quite impressed with him. Definitely smart, subtle and very funny. Having said that, I’m lmao hearing you ladies slam him - HILARIOUS. There is truth in what you say i.e. a pretentious asshole who’s trying to shock, etc.

Thank you so much for telling me the rest of the story. I still have this book but I couldn't read it to the end, it was to triggering. I don't get how this guy isn't in jail yet but maybe one day...

He's been hiding in plain sight, that's why he thinks he's so smart.

Thing is that there have been multiple accounts of people admitting the book is largely factual. It was made when Manson was at his peak in the 90s and known as a shock artist, so a bunch of shocking stories were made up to sell his character.
If he actually did all the stuff he claims in the book, i'd absolutely agree he's a piece of shit. But even when I first read the book in 2013 (when I was about 15) I could tell most of it was either exaggerated or made up for shock value

I think you want to talk about something but you don't have one
Idea what it's all about. They just waste their time with you!

People are weird. Some people are into that bizarre sex stuff - both women and men. Soft White Underbelly has many of these people on.

You should have MM on - that would be quite interesting- lol

Johnny Depp is innocent and is best friends with Manson. Talk about gaslighting.

I don't know a lot about Manson or what he is being accused of, so I thought I'd start here.
I only got a few minutes in when the two guests mention that Manson was sexually assaulted by a neighbour when he was a child. The way the woman played this down, saying "lots of people were sexually assaulted", and then the other woman tried to say his neighbour was playing "Doctor".
I don't know what happened, but sexual assault is sexual assault, and I know from bitter experience that the trauma stays with people for a long time. I'm 50 years old and still having nightmares about my childhood...
I turned the podcast off after that because I don't think you'll cover this story fairly...

I think what they’re trying to say is that it’s no excuse to do what he did to others..

    • @thezenblonde

Definitely NOT intended that way which is why I made it a point to say even if it was traumatic for him it does not excuse the current allegations

If you want some actual info try Colonel Kurtz channel.
She wasn't a fan, she just started covering the story.
She's got some great interviews. Judge for yourself.

Watching these thoughtless shallow women blunder about, tripping over ideas and realities explored by the artist in question?
I hate it cause it makes me so sad.
