I had a couple walk into our restaurant while we were in the middle of reconstruction. The place was near gutted. They walked over piles of sawdust, lumber, and duct work to sit at a table. I just happened to be there delivering a check to the contractor when I was informed by one of the carpenters that this couple were screaming in the "dining room." The second they saw me, they went into Banshee Mode! They expected to be served immediately. I didn't bother arguing and called the cops. The husband/boyfriend attacked one of the cops and all hell broke loose.
Ridiculous. Prior to social media the Japanese restaurant my office would order from on a regular bases closed because somebody drove their car THROUGH the restaurant. We never found out if it was a drunk or somebody had a heart attack. So they closed until the insurance paid out and they rebuilt the part the car destroyed. When they reopened they PHONED us to let us know they were reopened because we gave them THAT much business.
Even if the closure hadn’t been plastered all over, even if there were no notice at all, she’d _still_ not be entitled to any compensation! Speaking of which, this afternoon just after 5 pm I passed a place that normally closes at 6 but there was a note in the window that for January they’re closing at 5. There was a woman standing there staring at the note and told me she’d travelled an hour by public transport to get there, and that there was nothing on the web site about it. She was very disappointed but of course she wouldn’t expect any compensation!
Oh, my gracious goodness. This is beyond ridiculous. Do people really pull this crap? Does this woman have a mental illness? Does she expect to get a refund from her doctor if she has to go to urgent care if she gets sick when his office is closed? Totally insane.
The people demanding to be let in because they see an employee there are so frustrating! Retail anything is awful because of people who think they are the Main Character.
The most likely explanation is either pharmaceutical or criminal intent. There is an entire criminal class that makes a nice living either extorting businesses like this or filing frivolous lawsuits suits. They typically ask for $10,000 since defending a lawsuit will cost more than that.
Yeah. That and, "you can't fix stupid with a stick." I have no idea where she comes up with some of these expressions but God love her. My lady and I love to hear her stories but we never are eating or drinking anything or accidents will happen with us.

So many people will walk past the host stand and to go registers if theres any kind of line and walk all the way back to the cooks and expect us to just take their order. Like - look, read, act normal, anything!

I was so livid, I just called a tow truck and had them take it back to the dealership. I told them to fix it and reimburse me for the tow. Not only did they refuse to pay for the tow, they gave me a bill for the repair. Again it is a new car! They said they put some gas in it and that I needed to pay for that. How are you gonna sell me a car that runs out of gas after only a few days?!!!! 😂😂😂😂 Obviously this didn't happen, but same kind of crazy, right?
