    This review is so far off. The self driving capabilities are great. It has more to offer technologically than the Escalade. And because it has a 6.4L engine and not the 6.2L, it’s faster, doesn’t lag on mountain roads, is a better sized motor for an SUV this big. It’s turning radius is so tight it parks like a much smaller SUV. I have the GW3, I average 20mpg. The road noise is almost nil. It’s so smooth, it’s like driving on a cloud. I’ve driven my 2022 over 4,000 miles and it’s perfect. Oh yeah, and the cooler in the armrest is priceless!

    A few days ago, I happened to catch a TV commercial for the Wagoneer. The Jeep brand name was not mentioned in the audio at all, nor was there any camera shot of same on the car. Obviously, Stellantis is setting the Wagoneer up as a distinct sub-brand. Will it work? I have my doubts. In the showroom, the long wheelbase Grand Cherokee is a tempting alternative at a more reasonable price point. The price is too high, particularly when ownership is placed in the context of having to service it at the not-up-to-luxury par experience that describes most Jeep dealerships. The styling is uninspired. And something tells me poor gas mileage will haunt ownership of these vehicles one day. And, yes, I am the former owner of a 1991 Grand Wagoneer that was very disappointed when I first laid eyes on this new version.

    My dad had a Grand Wagoneer growing up and I loved it. It was an absolute tank in every condition. The new one, I don't know. The sides are not good looking and I saw one in person from the back and it looks weird. There were so many cool renderings over the years of what it could look like and the renderings were infinitely better than what this looks like. The inside is pretty sweet though.
    edit - The cone test was absolutely impressive.

    I'm in the minority, but I love the boxy shape of the GW. Yes, from some angles it looks ungainly, but overall I dig it. It was funny you mentioned the Navigator and Escalade are more luxurious. For $104K, they don't offer most of what the GW does on a Series II. The Escalade doesn't doesn't even offer rear sunshades, rear ventilated seats, massage, or connected tv services. Then there is the Navigator, which rides like horse cart compared to a GW.
    Just an FYI: The Overland trim of the GC also offers the QDII 4WD system. I really appreciate you for showing the differences in how the vehicle reacts in different drive modes.

    • @bernardking13

      Yeah I think this guy doesn't know what he talking about. Escalade misses a lot like you mention and when I went to look at the Escalade they wanted 15-20k above price. Good luck finding people who want to pay that much over sale price, so that was a NO. The Navi please don't make me laugh, that trash can with a twin V6 can stay at the dealership. None of those vehicles interior can touch the GW

Where the extra 17k coming from and he said we can charge up to 20k since these vehicles are considered hard to come by. I said if your gonna charge me that extra 17k then you made my choice and I went with a Grand Wagoneer Series II (I personally like the darker wood then the light wood in Series IIII and no you can't get the dark wood in the Series III) fully loaded for 118k w tax Included. If someone's not buying that because of the cheap plastic on the start button then there's literally no car that'll make them happy. The navigator, escalade and denali do this same stuff. • @hellkitty1014
      @hellkitty1014 2 года назад +1

      I agree. The shifter console of the Escalade is from the now retired CT6. The turn signals are lifted from Chevy products, as are the window switches. However, the Escalade is impossible to find and when you do, there are markups abound. The GW is selling for above sticker and nobody really cares about the Ignition surround. They do care about the sumptuous luxury the vehicle affords.
