I've found a couple of Oblivion lofi mixes, but I've gotta say this one may be the best one from a pure music and technical skill perspective. Even if I'm wrong and it's not objectively the best, subjectively, it absolutely is. Which is to say, it's at least my favorite. Auriel's Ascension in particular, that one started up, got going, and man. I couldn't even begin to articulate the emotion that hit me, but I get chills and a lump in my throat every time.
Thanks mate, that really means a lot. I put a lot of love and care in to these arrangements and mixes as I wanted to bring something slightly different to the music. It'd be simple enough to put a beat over the top of the existing tunes but I thought it'd be cool to give them a different vibe and reharmonise some things. And Auriel's Ascension was actually the first track I completed on this album. Kind of set the tone for the rest of the album in terms of sounds and vibe.
Thanks mate. This song actually set the tone/sound for the album as I wanted to make it different from the Morrowind in Lofi album. Once I wrote this song the rest of the album came quite easily.
I saw your Morrowind Lo-fi video pop up and honestly thought "I bet that's going to be the most generic bunch of beats placed over some midi of Nerevar Rising" Gave it a click anyway and I sure am glad I was wrong, you nailed the blend of genres wonderfully, all the instrumentation is on point. Absolute pleasure to listen to, and this Oblivion set is even better. Looking forward to hearing more of your work 👍 PS: Big props for the Korg M3,
@@Ryckhart thanks mate. I really enjoyed reading this comment, and the fact that you know what a Korg m3 is! It lives under my computer desk and some might say I love it just as much as my own child. It's also nice when effort is appreciated. It took a lot of time and love to get these arrangements sorted. Lots of reharmonising and trying to create something different from, as you say, just putting a beat over existing midi. Thanks legend.

No way this just released today! Listened to the Morrowind one a lot last month. So much nostalgia. One of my all time favourite games. I didn't play Oblivion too much - I felt it lacked the immersion. The soundtracks have been with me throughout the years and Harvest Dawn is my all-time favourite TES track. So cool you revisited it as well! Solid production as well. Listening on HEDD type20 and the spaciousness is real. GJ!
@@MalinaImport damn! Not messing around with the Type 20s are you? They're a serious bit of kit. Thanks mate, glad you've enjoyed it. I was similar in my experience in Oblivion vs Morrowind. Still adored Oblivion, and the soundtrack is stunning, but Morrowind has my heart!

It was nice, thank you for the track! As a side observation, I found it to be a little bit too lofi and sometimes losing the essence of the tracks in the process. The beats were always great and enjoyable, but I wouldn't have known some of them were oblivion related if the video didn't mention it.
@@muhtadialbandar9549 hi mate, it's a valid point. In some ways I wanted the songs to stand up as their own tracks, and I got a little lost in the creative process. I wanted to create something somewhat original but one downside is that it can lose a large portion of the audience that just want to hear something more in line with the original tunes but with a lofi beat etc. With the next one I'll probably dial it back a touch. Thanks for the comment though, I'm always happy to hear genuine and thoughtful feedback such as yours.
