Is there a way to diagnose whether it is the motor control vs the door switch without having to buy one or the other?
Thanks for this video. I Replaced the motor control and If fixed my no spin problem! Wife had washed my daughter’s heavy coat by itself and It fried the control. Thankful it’s back to normal.
Did you notice any evidence of frying on the circuit board? Just took mine out and it looks fine. Makes me hesitant on ordering a new one if that isn’t the main problem
@@eldeteproductions no, I pitched it without taking the cover off. I got a used one on eBay complete with the cover, so I didn’t have to swap out the boards. I had already replaced the door switch and that didn’t help, so figured this was about the only other thing it could be. Washer was filling with water and pumping out, but no agitation or spinning at all. No sound of motor turning at all either. Guess it’s fairly common to happen when a single heavy item, like a rug is washed. It throws the tub off balance. Should always wash more than one thing so it can balance out the tub.
@@roghoff1958 this is the exact issue im having. I was just trying to test the board with a multimeter because I fell down that rabbit hole. In the same boat though, seems a used board might be the last ditch effort. thank you!

First, my Frigidaire washer model is LTF2140FS1. Moving on, the screw heads are a hybrid (phillips combined with a square-drive Robertson) just like the ones used to secure the front panel, top, horizontal panel, and several other parts. I tried using a phillips screwdriver on them and they did not budge. Luckily, I had a case of drill bits with the right size square bit and that worked like a charm.
Today, the new door lock latch assembly arrived, I installed it, and still the washer immediately turns on the "No Spin" LED despite the position of the Program knob. So, now I believe the motor sound I hear could be the motor control board/unit trying its hardest or the drain pump, which I know properly works because I inspected it a few weeks ago when I removed and thoroughly cleaned the drain valve. Next, I hope to find a replacement motor control board/unit.
So did you just take the old circuit board out and put it back in or was that a new one?

Can not hear what your saying when is running. What happens to the control unit with the heavy loads?
Too heavy can blow a fuse in the motor control unit.
If one of the shocks is broken would it stop it from spinning?
It would be so off balance that the controller wouldn’t go to spin.
