Tamil industry was struggling to give a proper good movie back then due to continuous bad movies like Annaatthe, Beast, Valimai and etc. Everyone was like Tamil cinema industry is dead. Bahubali 2 was the highest grosser in Tamil Nadu (this was embarrassing to Tamil cinema industry as Tamil movies couldn't beat a Telugu movie's record in TN itself for 5 years). When everyone lost hope, Vikram got released, got rave reviews, broke all the records, and become an industry hit. I still respect your opinion, but I don't agree with it.

The gunfights you see in Indian movies are mostly inspired by Western themes. Regarding the subtitle for addressing someone as 'bro,' the word 'anna' (which means older brother) can also be used to address someone you respect or consider a superior instead of using 'sir.' Anna is informal but respectful.

This whole movie was about an incident happened in one single night. No nudity, no dance only pure entertainment. Lokesh kanagarage and SS Rajamouli are my top 2 directors in "whole" Indian movie industries.

Hirani makes light hearded movies that are simple and close to the heart...Films like 3 idiots, pk or Munna bhai mbbs are much better movies than Bahubali or RRR or Eega in terms of story telling...But SSR does very good in technical aspects which make everyone say "wow" and turned many heads in the west towards Indian cinema. Even thought I dont like to compare, but at the end of the day I will take Hirani's side no matter what. (And Im not a North Indian by the way and I dont even know Hindi)

About the sand and dust fight scene you are talking about... They shot the scene in 2 locations because of lighting and all and both the locations were almost samilar looking, but the director and action director loaded bags of dirt from the 1st location and used it in second location so that even the colour of dirt won't varry. That's sheer commitment to the craft.

Finallyyyy 😁 I expected you to enjoy it but you loved it even more than what I thought! Hopefully you'll watch Vikram soon, which I think is even superior to Kaithi. Then there is a 3rd movie in the same universe, Leo, recently released, and there's the stand alone movie Master by the same director that you would probably enjoy too. Something else to consider watching when it comes to Indian content is the Amazon Prime series The Family Man (2 seasons) and Farzi (1 season) both by the same duo of directors. It's well shot action with a good dose of humour. Right up your alley I think 😊

I would love it if you guys got around sometime to covering Bollywood’s cinematic universe of movies dubbed the Spy Universe (Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and the upcoming Tiger 3). I can pretty much guarantee you guys will have an absolute blast with them.

Finallyyyy 😁 I expected you to enjoy it but you loved it even more than what I thought! Hopefully you'll watch Vikram soon, which I think is even superior to Kaithi. Then there is a 3rd movie in the same universe, Leo, recently released, and there's the stand alone movie Master by the same director that you would probably enjoy too.
Something else to consider watching when it comes to Indian content is the Amazon Prime series The Family Man (2 seasons) and Farzi (1 season) both by the same duo of directors. It's well shot action with a good dose of humour. Right up your alley I think 😊
