I Love Jennifer Coolidge’s character but I understand that this show can’t revolve around her character and the way she died was soooo Tanya that I’m not mad about it.
I’m not mad about it either but it was so shocking to me that it’s taking a while to get over it.
Maybe Tanya can return as
THE GHOST OF THE WHITE LOTUS.
I can’t believe she wasn’t even going to take her shoes off before attempting to jump on to the smaller boat 😆
It was rough seeing Tanya die like that especially after she smoked those fools on the boat. I felt like there were other ways to get into that smaller boat ,but whatever. Can't wait to see what happens with Greg next season.
Right like you’re telling there was no ladder on the back of the yacht? Cuz then how did niccolo get up? Or like she could’ve just jumped into the water and then got into the dingy. Has this girl never played gta before??
Portia will marry Greg
and then kill him for the money.
They made Tanya re tarded . Dumb finale
Yeah I felt like that was too ridiculous, even for Tanya
That is what is brilliant about that ending. We are used to Hollywood films and how people handle stress all pro and everything like they are navy seals. Which is total BS.
Can you imagine a regular person going through such trauma? That fear of impending doom and then killing people.
Many ordinary folks die when a traumatic even happens due to panic. So this ending is way more real for her character than her going down the stairs and driving away in that boat like a James Bondina.
Poor Tanya, She never did find out if Greg was having an affair...
She deserves a Emmy and more!! She’s been in the Hollywood game for a while!! She deserves her recognition
Second Emmy c
Thinking back, there were so many moments of foreshadowing about her death:
1. Death is the only immersive experience I've not had.
2. Madame Butterfly.
With all her issues, death seemed like the only way to kill her demons.
3. The tarot reader
Saying how beautiful the house was and being asked 'would you die for beauty?' because he needed her money to pay for it even if she didn't know it. She didn't answer there but she did on the boat by fighting for her life instead of accepting her fate.
4. Her spoiling it out at the Emmys haha that’s how I found out but I love her so much
No but for real
4. Was them telling her the story about Isola Bella’s owner lady
Agree with prior post. I don’t see why White feels Tania’s character cannot be further evolved in this series. It seemed appropriate and not overkill that she’d be the element tying all seasons together.
She's probably getting tons of movie and series offers right now, that's my guess.
Would love to see more of Tanya but a lot of shows keep pushing season after season snd it turns into crap. I think they wanted to end on a high note
And also I love how they explained why she would go to different white lotuses as she is a reward member , that would be the tie to all seasons
Leave it to Mike White to make Tanya's tragic death a huge gasp and guffaw moment!
Jennifer Coolidge absolutely nailed the performance and managed to make a character that wasn't self aware at all extremely likeable and charismatic. And also a main character that had a pretty tragic life (while very privileged too) hilarious. Obv. kudos for Mike White for this. She was one of my faves but the way she died was hilarious, as sad as I also felt.
I don't know about likeable... She was barely tolerable but fascinating to watch.
@@Spectoral_on_SPOTIFY Oh no I agree with Clara, she was extremely likeable, daft and vulnerable!
I was SOOOOO sad!!!She was my FAVE!!But?At least she went out fighting! She got all the bad guys!👊🏻
But she didn’t get her husband 😡
@@ifeyinwaokolo1246I hope season 3 will have Greg and he will get his karma
And her husband still can get away with her money 😭
I definitely related to Harper. Ethan was annoying at first, but then I saw that he did care about Harper . . .he just forgot how to show it. I think portia was annoying because of how much she complained about getting a free trip to Italy and being paid for it . . .but she really came into her own in the last episode (it's like she became Tonya . . .as she put on that ridiculous hat and asked for a guy's number right after finding out her boss was probably murdered).
The way she fell was so raw it got me good, it was so fucking funny....... but i still think Portia could've called the Police or the Hotel lol
now we need Portia to go crazy and spread Tanya’s ashes in season 3
her last words “you got this” very Tanyaic tragic
Man, Tanya. I really thought she had it in the bag. So sad 😞 Porsha got so lucky. And Albie! Ahhh I knew that B was playing him like a fiddle I effin knew it!! Ugh great season! Had me on my toes the entire time. Love this show!
They made Tayna brain dead.
@@richcampbell6808 well i never thought she would figure out the plot against her, yet she did!
I was really thinking she was gonna be a character in every season... ;-;
Best show this year for sure. Loved everything about this season and Tanya was the best character and Harper 2nd fav in season 2. I don’t know how they will ever be able to top a euro holiday location though elsewhere . Curious to see if they can! Maybe if they go to like Bali or something would be pretty cool.

@@JDMimeTHEFIRST she was complaining about boring life and bulshit like that, well she got her adventure alright
Seriously mad that Tanya died, even tho she unalived her captors...but excellent season...I hope the series continues on a good streak!
Her final scenes were so raw, I got TENSE
They need to keep writing more character for Jennifer to play. She is fantastic.
I was so annoyed and upset after watching the finale and seeing Jennifer Coolages character go out like that. I felt like this could have been her redemption moment. She smokes them all, gets away all on her own, realizing that she’s not as helpless as she thinks BUT as I sat with it for a bit, I get it. I feel like the ending with Albi getting played ( all 3 of them checking out that girl out at the airport), what’s his name suddenly being attracted to Harper ( only after he bangs Daphne), ect…. It’s just a reminder that people don’t usually have these intense epiphanies in a week that changes their entire perspective on life. So yes, it does make perfect sense that Tanya went out the way she did ( even after finally catching on and killing those bastards) only to die is the most ridiculous way. I don’t know if that made any sense cause I’m rambling. I also saw somewhere that Daphne basically admits to Cameron not being the father of her kids ( but I missed that). A lot going on in that show.
PLS WHEN SHE FELL I LAUGHED SO HARD
What???!!!!!😂 I cried😢
Me too….. I was hysterical cause it was so freakin funny😂
but that line had me 'Is Greg having an affair'
Sometimes as a writer it's not about the ending you want or the ending you think would be funny
It's about what readers or audiences would appreciate more, you're not writing for yourself after all
Killing off Tanya and in such a clumsy way might have been funny to him but it also came off lazy and rushed. And I don't get this "dying like that was so Tanya" thing
Sure she's needy, sure she's clumsy, sure she's a little weird but she didn't deserve to die.
Also Tanya, didn't just die, killing Tanya means Greg won, he gets all her money
I don't think anyone liked that
VERY TRUE, I WAS SO PISSED off, she shoots all the kidnappers even without seeing them, only to die in such a stupid way. And shortly after, the police captures the yatcht
I didn't think Tanya had another option. Leaving the boat and returning to the hotel meant police and trial. Returning to Greg meant always wondering, because even at the end, when it was obvious Greg was in on the plot to kill her, she still obsessed about whether he loved someone else. Her connection with reality was minimal at best. She could divorce him, but would she?
@@bonniegault8565 I don't get your point but I don't think Tanya meant to kill herself
If she had survived and gotten to the hotel, sure she might have been arrested but after investigations had been conducted she'd be released eventually
As for Greg I don't think she'd go back to him, she's needy not stupid
It was self defense
The way she died was so funny I Can't 🤣
The Daphne character is the best actress
This show is so weird 😆😆
I can't wait for season 3
Plot twist season 3. Tanya makes a comeback in a mysterious way. Maybe briefly in a real or imagined sequence. Show creator said in previous interviews he can't imagine White Lotus without Jennifer
Rumor has it that season 3 is going to somewhere in Asia. I specifically love this series since each season brings us a new location with an entirely new cast, killing off Tanya was a must.
Still crying
This season was brilliant xx bravo 🎉
I didn’t really understand how she died. Didn’t the guy come up from the small boat on a ladder? Why wasn’t that ladder still there? Even so, it didn’t look like that far of a fall from the yacht to cause her to lose consciousness and drown.
Damn that makes season one super dark. RIP.
What a show! 👏
Hilarious, sad, happy, tragic, hopeful, scary ending. I loved it. "Do you know these gays?!" needs to be on a T-shirt.
Wow she deserves the Golden Globe and Emmy for Season 2. She was just amazing in that last episode. But what about Dealiay and what's his face. Classic
I like the idea of her being the only recurring thing in the series would have been better, like she's an anchor for the show, and that it was a mistake to kill her off. Would have rather seen a season of her using another hotel to be on the run after all those guys she killed.
Cool trivia: Tom Gries aka Greg played a young William Garretson, the caretaker of the Tate house in the 1976 2 night made for TV movie Helter Skelter with Steve Railsback playing Charles Manson.
you got this, toink.funny & sad at the same time also “is greg having an affair?” after her panicked of being killed & killed almost the people on the boat. lol
That’s so her though! She died the way everyone expected her to die. I don’t wanna call her dumb, but she kinda is- and we all knew it, that’s why it doesn’t come as a shock that she gets herself killed lol
Jennifer Coolidge must have pissed him off with something she did on account of her being a fan favorite so he killed her character off to teach her a lesson
Like what happened to Joey's (FRIENDS) doctor character on Days of Our lives 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That has got to be it because killing off Tanya was such dumb thing to do
Did Tanya's bizarre ultimate fate at the end of The White Lotus season 2 remind any viewers about the tragic death of Natalie Wood ???
I was thinking the same thing!!
Isthmus private yacht
Catalina Island cruise
Natalie wood 🪵 missed this
#haiku #nataliewood #ths
Definitely. Thought the same thing
WHY?????????? No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i loved both seasons. they were so different.
Even though Tanya died, she took everyone with her. Except for Greg, but karma's coming for him.
I think the manner of her death will be keeping her assets frozen and in probate for longer than Greg can hold on. Good for Tanya
The perfect end for Tanya
The way she fell though 😂
but did greg still get all her money??
“Immersive experience”
Where was the ladder to get to the small boat?
If there was a ladder do you think Tanya if saw it would have used it? Think about her character
@@Aroundthefire77 Tanya was smart enough to steal the gigolo's black bag in hopes to find that gun. And why would they have moved the boat's ladder when the yacht was anchored in calm waters.
That was so idiotic ending, she had ben boarding already what? 2, 3 times? The same boat, and she couldn't find the stairs build at the transom of the boat to her right before jumping???
Oh Jennifer, I will always remember her as Stifler's mom!
She didn’t kill the captain though. When he saw her with the gun he must’ve heard he hightailed it back upstairs. But it was not made clear.
She couldve just asked the boat driver to drive her home
She tried but he couldnt speak english plus I believe it was mentioned earlier he was hard of hearing or something idk? could be wrong on the second part.
@@jasw7660 she could tell him the word 'Sicilly' to take her back.
Or she could find the stairs of where the hitman walked up before.
@@shabrinaz9877 I guess but if someone speaking a foreign language came up to me and said a bunch of things and I only understood one word, id still be confused and I think most people would be. especially if the person who hired the guy and spoke italian never told him to go back to sicilly. im sure he was told by the bad guys they were going to stay there so he would probably assume she was just making random conversation about her trip. maybe telling him how much she liked sicilly or whatever. I personally wouldve been like "policia!" and made the hand signal for a phone lol
She should have invested in the spa lady in season 1! And I hated the way they do the same narrative for working girls. They aren't all cheaters and scammers. Its such a tired idea.
I mean her death was the most Tanya thing ever
I honestly think having her in the show was the best part... Her traveling the world and being crazy.
okay but was he having an affair can they clarify that
Plot twist: Tanya left her fortune to Belinda and she comes back next season to vindicate Tanya.
I wish!!! I can’t get off the Belinda/Tonya/ Wellness Center train lol
You go girl 👏🏻
@@Dm_TheEntertainmenttonight what is a drow????
Tanya looks like she’s hopped up on Xanax all the time.
I didn’t feel sorry for Tanya. How she treated that hotel employee in season 1. Used her. Used Portia too. It was time for her to feel the same pain
Bruh… homegjrl been playing herself since the early 2000’s lol only other person to do the same is Jim Carey. Facts!
Loved the show up until the last eps, lame ending, so disappointed 👎🏽🤦🏽♀️
Ohhh Tanya 😩😭😢😫 Not the brightest is she? 😆
FIRST SEASON HAD ME BLASTED ! From Intro theme to end.
Second season was real meh-ssy. REAL meh-ssy.
I’m even, going to give the next a chance, 3rd Season Maldives folks ! 🤞🤞🤞
Tonya was a pain from the beginning. I would never have been around her. You can see all of that coming with her. She could never get out of her own way.
There's no homophobia quite like the internalized kind.
This is the worst mistake ever! Jennifer coolidge is amazing im sure more wonderful things will come to her .
Felt like I was watching the last episode of Game of Thrones…wholly unsatisfying.
This was so damn disappointing. Now Greg gets all her money.
Such a bad ending... Good writing up till then. She's brilliant in it.
Big mistake !!
Great show FINALE SUCKED.
