    De Grasse single handedly won Canada the bronze medal in that 4x100 relay. The gap he had to close to get that was insane

      This is actually incorrect.
      There's a perfect body that you must be to run super fast...
      A basic example of this is, look at the line up for the 100m race in pretty much any high-level race and you'll notice all of them are about the same height... Except Usain Bolt is giant af.
      Usain Bolt is a weird anomaly that no scientist actually knows why he's so fast.
      So really, in short, you probably shouldn't be built like Usain Bolt...
      Maybe he (was) the fastest because of tons of determination or if this was Naruto.. the Will of Fire or something along those lines but defo not with science.

      I think he did run at his 100% in that 9.69 race until the last 15-20 meters when he slowed down. If he ran at 100% for the whole length, he would have scored under 9.5
