The main quality he wants from Custodians are loyalty. So all Custodians are semi-clones of this one guy. That's why female custodians doesn't make sense.
I mean, they're not clones made from the ground up, it's more like it uses preexisting humans as a base to grow into a custodian. so it's kinda whatev. then again, most of the lore regarding the imperium is in universe unreliable at best

Then the part of me that is mucho pissed at GW and concerned about some of the people involved in the project screams "wait, dammit!". If I do plan on preordering, it will be at the last possible minute.

easy homebrew chapters for the white salamander: the albino salamanders. succesor chapter of the salamander who were part of the cursed founding. (as such their geneseed is a mix of night lords and salamander genes)

Almost every faction had a way to homebrew your own thing, albino salamanders, Rainbow Marines, all female Guard Battalion, whatever you wanted for your own models, and it wouldn't affect anyone else, and it was great. That wasn't enough though, they want to retcon major lore for their agenda driven ideas, because to them the freedom to do what you want is not enough. Everyone else has to accept and abide by their fantasies.
