You can only imagine how great this sounded in real life, and how it felt, the bridge was shaking above all that horsepower. Man it sounded great! I finally found a GE I like :). I love the older GE's, the new stuff is just crap.
Yayayaya that my favorite 36A and 37A because they 36A and 37A runs on Port Roads NS Branch and 36A goes to East to Edgemoor, Delaware from Enola, PA and 37A goes to west to West to Enola, PA from Wilmington, Delaware! For daily all whole a day!!!!
Not sure about that C40-8. It sounds like it either has a dead skip, or the baffles in the stack are bad, it doesn't sound healthy to me, especially when it's reversing around the 2:35 mark, the SD70 sounds sweet!!
This is a really nice set of shots here. Great example of American engineering at its best.
Thanks for posting!
Wow that's close! I never noticed that before but yeah, they must scrape just lightly because I hear a noise when they go by, wow!
Sounds like a sick GE, with a cracked valve or leaking exhaust manifold making that snapping sound
See here is my point! You see everything cool. Great job, really love the power and switching action. Favorited

That 2nd GP38-2 is an ex Southern Ry hi-hood....a long way from its former home on the Southern, given that these rails are former PRR.
