Otherwise we risk falling into this hadith: the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam said: "Do not lie upon me; indeed whoever lies upon me will enter the Fire." Sahih Muslim 1. Thun Nuwwas asked Amr to dig trenches of fire... and this is confirmed in books of history like yeahood, and they were asked what faith are you on and if they said Islam and they worship Allah they will be ditched, a mom saw an infant baby and the baby speaks and says have Iman and be patient , you are on the truth and after this is jannah! There is no ayat in the Quran which says the sunnah is wahiy. There is no mention of sunnah of the nabiy in the Quran. If it was important, then the Quran would have mentioned it. But there is no mention of sunna of nabiyy or that sunna is wahiy.
Allah says to obey the Messenger (saw) many times throughout the Qur’an, there are many verses like that. Its self explanatory that the guidance of the Messenger (saw) is through the wisdom Allah has given him. Allah swt affirmed it in the Qur’an
