Taemin's "Sayonara Hitori" MV is visually stunning and breathtaking. This is the sort of vibe you should expect from the majority of Taemin's Japanese songs and MVs. They all have this very Japanese feel to them. If you are curious how this MV was made, you should look up the behind the scenes/making of video, ruclips.net/video/QNLyT4ZZw7U/видео.html. You will see that for most of it, Taemin is dancing in a shallow pool of water on a green screen set. (Very similar to how SHINee's leader Onew filmed his solo debut "Blue" MV in 2018.) About the only things that are real in the MV are the water and the piano, Taemin's amazing outfits and his impressive dancing. :D Because this is one of Taemin's Japanese songs, it was produced by one of the Japanese companies SM partners with for its Japanese promotions, so almost everyone involved is Japanese. Therefore, in the behind the scenes footage you also will get a chance to hear just how fluent and comfortable Taemin is speaking Japanese. :D And if you haven't yet, you should really look up the English translation of the lyrics, because when it comes to Taemin's solo songs, and especially his Japanese songs, the lyrics usually have a very deep meaning and are full of Biblical and existential metaphors for life and his career, etc. The lyrics always add an extra layer to his performances that take everything to the next level. "Sayonara Hitori" is his Japanese solo debut in 2016. However, Taemin and SHINee have been well-known Japanese artists since SHINee's Japanese debut in 2011. Although, if you watch one of his live performances of the song in Korea, you will see the Korean version of this song is named "Goodbye." As you probably know, Sayonara means goodbye in Japanese. His Japanese version was so popular that they decided to produce a Korean version of the song a few months later. The Korean version is what you hear if you watch Taemin's "Devil Inside" performance on the dance competition show Hit the Stage or any award show or concert performances outside of Japan. And because Taemin is a member of SHINee, his live performances of this song are even more mind blowing and powerful than what you just experienced. You definitely need to see him perform this song live in concert or as an award show performance. I recommend checking out his "Guess Who," "Soldier" and "Goodbye" MAMA 2016 award show stage. You should also check out his dance practice, the dance practice is not on RUclips, so you have to search for it. You haven't even begun to see just how amazing the choreography for "Sayonara Hitori (Goodbye)" is. :P Fun fact: This was the first time Taemin worked with Sugawara Koharu, who you may remember is the choreographer who also choreographed his dance for "Move." "Sayonara Hitori" was the first time Taemin had done a contemporary style dance and Sugawara was the one who taught him. Since then, Taemin and Sugawara have worked together many times over the years, and they have become really good friends. She helped Taemin choreograph their duet performance on the Korean idol dance competition show Hit the Stage and she was also the choreographer for Taemin's "Want" and "Flame of Love" MVs, as well as one of several who collaborated on Taemin's "Criminal" MV choreography. Sugawara was also the choreographer for SHINee's song "Good Evening." As we see in the MV, there are blue flowers that bloom and then are placed all around Taemin in the casket. Pearl aqua blue/green is SHINee's color, so blue has a lot of important messages when it comes to SHINee. Plus, blue flowers, when equated with a message, usually stand for love and inspiration, and when presenting someone with blue flowers you are telling them you will stay loyal and passionate about them. Blue flowers also could be used as a connection within Taemin's solo storyline, as well as connecting him to SHINee. We also see blue roses in Taemin's "Press Your Number" MV and blue flowers in SHINee's "Countless" MV. And some theories even think the blue flowers could be connected to the blue roses/flowers we see in EXO's storyline, which is now thought may be all connected to SM's SM Culture Universe story. Taemin's "Sayonara Hitori" MV is also set in an otherworldly location in another dimension or planet and the prominent feature is a giant moon, just like in EXO's storyline. And it even looks similar to the giant moon we see rising from behind the rock formation in SHINee Key's solo "Bad Love" MV and album teaser video, which possibly could mean it's all connected as well.
Let's not pretend anyone cares about Taemin's song meaning. Every time non-Korean including Asian fans ask for Taemin English lyrics to make more sense they get shouted down by virtue signaling western Koreaboos who want to gatekeep Taemin from "the west". God forbid Taemin hold concerts in LA London Paris Rio!
For everyone who are new #TAEMIN along with his group #SHINee is one of the TOP OG A-list royalty of Kpop with many of his senior pre-successors that came before him who also have killing voices. *He’s the youngest member of SHINee.* As you may have found out he’s been part of #SHINee for 16 years, Soloist for 10 years and SUPERM for 5 years at age of 30 has gained a total of 31 years of dance & music experience that started from age 10 with dance to debuting at 14 with SHINee (2008), soloist (2014) and second oldest of SUPERM (w/ ACES from other groups, 2019). I don’t remember the name but during his trainee days he was part of a dance group with KAI (if im not mistaken) before debuting with SHINee.; I’m beyond proud being a SHAWOL/TAEMINT thru all SHINee journey.* 😭🩵 #Killingvoice #dingo
so the song was originally released in Japanese, Taemin later translated it into Korean (Goodbye) when he went on the show Hit the Stage (dance battle style), along with his friend and choreographer Sugawara Koharu (choreographed Move) on the show he was also up against Shownu ( Monsta X) and Ten (WayV, Super M, NCT U) which i thought was just awesome. Sayonara Hitori / Goodbye has been covered ALOT he did a special stage with Jihyo & Momo from TWICE, and also did an amazing stage at the 2016 MAMA Awards
This one is Koharu’s choreo too, which is why Taemin chose it for the HtS performance. He anecdotally learned the initial choreography for this in six hours. The dance practice version of this with Koharu is sublime
I don't know where you got the information that it was filmed in New Jersey and that there was no green screen but that is false. This song is his japanese debut and he filmed the MV in Japan. And in the behind the scenes you can see the green screen they used.
LOL it was an inside joke amongst Couch Crew - he was NOT being literal about those being real floating islands in Newark New Jersey LOL 😂 he knows that 90% of this MV is CGI . He is a director.
@@sofeels_ it’s because people always say this how their favs never use CGI etc so he always pokes fun of MV’s where it’s OBVIOUSLY CGI and says it’s real LOL 😂 Roscoe Chaos!! lol
@@louloubumper8179 ah I get it. Sometimes fans can be ridicilous with stuff like that lol I just thought that maybe someone misinformed him about it being shot on location and not in studio.
This release basically is the start of the Taemin you see today. The choreographer, Koharu Sugawara, is the one who created Move as well. Her influence on Taemin and his artistry is HUGE. Also, I don't think the New Jersey thing is correct...This was done all by green screen. LoL
I had to wait to watch this when I was ready to cry, because this song and dance is just way too beautiful. 🥺... P.S...Unless you cover it in the video... "SAYONARA HITORI" means: SOLITARY GOODBYE! 😢
@roscoe - I love your channel. After watching you react to this, I really think you would love Jackson Wang’s work. Especially Cruel and Blow. Hope you will react to them. They are incredible.
Taemin’s Japanese discography is absolutely superb!
Sometimes I think I like it even more than his Korean!
yep yep
This is a incredible piece of art.
Tell me about it, I just discovered Final Dragon!
Thank you for continuing to react to Taemin! His talent is next level.
No one can top Sayonara Hitori as my forever favorite piece
I absolutely love this song and Taemin. He is amazing!❤

Очень советую Flame of Love,тоже от него

I had to wait to watch this when I was ready to cry, because this song and dance is just way too beautiful. 🥺...

this was definitely filmed with a green screen though
And the MV has no subtitles. SERIOUSLY this is so torturous!
I find it ironic how korean idols or Kpop in general are better at singing and producing better songs than actual japanese people ...
Jonghyun u tanımadınız henüz sanırım
br😮h its not newark nj LOL wtf im from kearny nj and was born in newark!! lol that aint newark
Check out the dance practice for this .
