Hey man, great video! Would you happen to know how thick the new 550i plate is? I'll be sending my 320d plate to clutchfix to reline, but I can't wait any longer for the 550i one I've got on order.

ive no idea but im pretty sure the plate is identical but the centre is different ive had a new 320 and 550i plate side by side and they look identical otherwise.
ive seen a few e90's 320d running 290 hp with the same clutch and a 1 series E87 same power and a E46 compact running 336hp!

      Thank you very much, mate.
      I've sorted the clutch plate.
How is the 320d gearbox holding up in your car?

no the pilot bearing in the description does not go in the flywheel the hole is too big the bearing goes in the crankshaft

@@schenkerperformance the gearbox shaft fits into the bearing mine has been in my car for months. If the shaft is not supported by the bearing you will know very fast

That's really not possible. Yesterday I installed the clutch from a 330D e46 150kW to an E87 120D and if I placed the bearing in the crankshaft, after the gearbox is installed, its shaft cannot reach the bearing. It is designed to lean against the bearing in the flywheel.@@TotoGuy-Original

yeah thats how the original flywheel works the bearing is in the flywheel but the upgrade is different parts not specially made for this.
there is a bearing casing at the back of the original flywheel this sits in the crankshaft but as i dont have the original flywheel the bearing in the description gets put in the crankshaft.
measurements were taken by a BMW specialist when we were doing this upgrade. because you dont want to put it back together and find its a problem.
as i said to you before if the gearbox shaft wouldnt reach the bearing in the crankshaft as soon as you try to drive it you will know there is a problem.
there is no problem though ive been driving mine 100's of miles already, and its been pushed to its limits on the road and dyno
