Is Na Kluea cheaper than Jomtien to rent accommodation. I love your videos because you are stating things as you see them and you are not trying to sell stuff on a commission
Na Klua is on average more expensive than Jomtien. The beach front at Wong Amat has many expensive condos, typically for the Bangkok upper middle class and wealthy Russians.
I've been going to pattaya since 2005. Its definitely got everything. It's my favourite place along with hua hin. The only one negative, which is a big one for me, is the beach and sea are dirty i wouldn't swim in it. It has no comparison with the beaches available in hua hin. That's the big 1 for me not living there
That's an interesting perspective. I like both areas in general. I find the beaches in Hua Hin to be more similiar to Jomtien Beach. It seems like every time I go to Huan Hin the oceans always seem rougher/wind blown, another thing and maybe it's just the area I go to in Hua Hin, it seems there is less sand and more rocks? Anyway, I do appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.
@MargaritasinParadise Khao Takiab is the best in hua hin. There are no rocks I've never encountered any, and it's around 7 miles of Presteigne beach, no boats, just sand and sea, up to the hilton Hotel. When was the last time you walked along jonteim Beach? We stayed in January for 10 days. The beach was a dump tbh. Bottles plastic glass fishhooks laying around. Yes, it could be nice, but nobody bothers to clean it. It's not like hua hin at all.

My experience on that side of the gulf is limited though and I can only rely on minimal impressions so I do appreciate your insight, actually I rely on it. Thank You so much.

That's a good perspective. The nightlife industry represents maybe 10% of all of Pattaya's economy. Most of my friends probably came here for that reason alone. Many people who don't drink or see many partners. I even know couples raising families here in Pattaya. Thanks.

OK, I get it now. I’m thinking about retirement for people. But I think you’re talking about tourism. I have my normal regimen every day. of course I golf and I do other things that keep me busy. I do enjoy the temples, but I don’t do them around this area as I normally don’t have the time. I only do the bars and nightlife two or three nights a week for instance. I would never consider going to McDonald’s or a place like that with the exception of the occasional Taco Bell visit. And of course, I stay in a condo that I renovated. My accommodation prices are as little as $600 a year, but I know not everybody will have that opportunity. I’m constantly being asked to do things so much so that I have to say no sometimes because I’m just too busy anyway I do hope you enjoy Manila and able to find that inspiration that gives you the life you deserve.
Dear Tom: what also is crossing my mind concerning the issue is that: When contemplating the idea of retirees relocating to Thailand, particularly Pattaya, a certain analogy comes to mind: Imagine holding a pear in the air. One side, more favoured by the sun, displays a rosy blush, while the other may be green or yellow. The person observing the rosy side might be tempted to declare this colour as the absolute truth, just as the person viewing the opposite side might firmly believe in their perspective. Often, both are convinced they are right. However, it becomes intriguing when one rotates the pear to reveal the other side, demonstrating how interpretation and viewpoint shape our beliefs, and how, more often than not, it’s less about being right or wrong. The challenge arises when someone insists that the pear is, in fact, an apple-denying fundamental truths. This is where discussion becomes futile, akin to debating with those who deny the existence of climate change. The notion of rotating the pear then transforms into a strategy for managing such situations. However, I won’t delve into the political realm here. My point is to highlight that a gentler approach to life often leads to greater success than stubborn insistence. This is particularly true for Westerners in Asia. Life becomes simpler when we refrain from scrutinising every detail and remember that we are guests in a foreign land. Those who find themselves uncomfortable might need to reconsider whether they can truly be happy there. I’ve occasionally deferred to my Filipina wife when she tried to explain to me how German grammar works-whilst we were in Germany, no less. I asked myself, “Does it really matter if I’m right?” If I concluded that it didn’t, I would smile and think, “Fine, from her perspective, the moon can be feminine, even though it’s masculine in German.” And, as half a Frenchman myself, I’m well aware that in French, the moon is indeed feminine. So, I’m perfectly at ease with that. It makes my wife’s speech unique, and I cherish her uniqueness. After all, I don’t know why “milk” has a masculine article in French-it seems odd, but I simply accept it. The same goes for living in Asia. Many things are best met with a smile and quietly accepted. Enjoy life! We are all different and that is the beauty in life. ruclips.net/video/5dWeeUIZFgA/видео.html
I don't normally bite on these issues. My lawyer told me not to worry as many changes will happen before they actually start to collect in 2025. Many of my friends are already using the atm loopholes and just eliminating depositing foreign assets in Thai bank accounts.
Thanks for your input. I asked the wait staff this morning at breakfast about the way I pronounce Pattaya and they said it was good. Another farrang customer said No, it should be said like what your talking about. One Thai golfer told me that half the Thai people say it wrong but everyone knows what your they’re talking about. I could only imagine changing all Thai men to pronounce the word "Krap" from "cup". Anyway, maybe I learned it wrong, I still look at it as pronouncing the words potato or Missouri, many people say them in different ways but we all know what they're talking about. I doubt if I'll change my hillbilly habits of 37 years. Thanks again, Small things keep me laughing, I hope they do the same for you.

@@MargaritasinParadise thanks for the reply @margaritasinparadise well I've been to pattaya 5 times in the last 2 years and u get bored of the beach then buda temple after a few weeks so if u retire to pattaya and your not doing the bars there is very little to do in pattaya other than the trip to one of the near by islands and pattaya not cheap for food Thai food street food yes but not restaurants like burger king MC Donald's a lot of the western chains same price as u pay in Europe or america.i find Philippines is alot cheaper there and find the condos are bigger and there's alot more to do there like churches art galleries as well as the beach pattaya has none of that subway trains everywhere so I prefer the city life more to do u can try Bangkok but more expensive than manilla so I'm going to retire to manilla and it's cheaper philippines.pattaya good for holiday but not long term living in my opinion.
Dear Tom: what also is crossing my mind concerning the issue is that:
When contemplating the idea of retirees relocating to Thailand, particularly Pattaya, a certain analogy comes to mind: Imagine holding a pear in the air.
I asked myself, “Does it really matter if I’m right?” If I concluded that it didn’t, I would smile and think, “Fine, from her perspective, the moon can be feminine, even though it’s masculine in German.”
And, as half a Frenchman myself, I’m well aware that in French, the moon is indeed feminine.
Wise words, Thanks
The new tax laws aren’t good for retirees 😢
I don't normally bite on these issues. My lawyer told me not to worry as many changes will happen before they actually start to collect in 2025. Many of my friends are already using the atm loopholes and just eliminating depositing foreign assets in Thai bank accounts.
Maybe you should learn to pronounce Pattaya properly!

Hi
I am coming to Pattaya Thailand on the 6th of Nov and leaving on Jan 28th. Thanks to you for My Pills for Diabetes, I only need to get my Repatha injections. Thanks to you. :)
I am interested in that Apartment, Please let me know everything you can for that. Initially I am staying in Holiday inn for two months and then I'll move to Hilton for 20 days, I have to find something for the rest. :). I have not decided to stay after the year at this stage. But the following year, I might.
Thank you. :)
I sent you an e-mail.Manohar M
I can not remember which Apartment I talk about before. Can you refresh my memory. I''m more than happy to help where I can.
@@MargaritasinParadise You were talking about the apartment in this video. at 1:00 min
Ok, I would suggest stopping at the Park Beach office and talking to one of the staff. The manager there is a lady named Nueng. She's awesome and will definitely let you know what's available for rent.g.co/kgs/wAVaJPC
