You should look at Bloom’s theorem and the Native American version Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Great minds think alike, needed to be reminded of this.
As a kid I went to church. In that environment I was taught how to remember repeat and accept. But never to understand. Over the years i had to unlearn that primitive way of using my brain. Now i train my self how to understand rather than trying to keep to memory.
