  • If you own any Direct injected vehicle this video will help you as well. I tear into my BMW 335XI because i am getting multiple misfires. However i find another reason for the misfires but go ahead and clean the intake valves anyway.

I see you have the hot air intake filters of fail on the car.

Yea but everything is hot in that engine bay doesnt matter which side. I actually saw a drop in charge temps with them over where they are but only a couple degrees which could be chalked up to the day.

@@southerngearz ,only go open filter if stage 2 or youve put a bigger than stock (5' or 7.5 stepped intercooler ) having air temps 40c over whats normal then expecting the stock intercooler to cool it as much as it would with nice cool air from the front is expecting too much ,im running Cobb stage 1+ @380 with stock snorkel & K&n catridge its fine ,the bigger intercooler will cool it much more and allow for a denser colder better charge ,so the hot air is less of a issue

Did you remove the spark plugs and let any residual fluid shoot out before starting it?

I should have that probably would have help prevent that stutter at first start.

Yo, you really need to follow the directions on the can i think.

They need to heat soak!!! Hydro lock would be a bad thing 😫😫😫

I agree hydro lock would be bad. However with these direct injection engines the junk is so built up that no amount of soaking will loosen anything. Thats the reason they came out with walnut blasting but nobody around me walnut blasts so the next best thing was elbow grease. Now next time i will ensure the valves are 100% closed to reduce the amount of cleaner getting into the valves since i think some were partially open.
