Well, well, well...... finally, after too many years of playing mediocre golf, I am back in business. All because I have been trying to get rid of that left, hand crease. Being left, handed and playing right hand I have found your instruction easy to follow and do. Another bad practice for me was using an alignment stick and taking the club away straight instead of inside to inside. My old feel has come back and it is fantastic. My tempo is back and the saying from Jack Nicklaus that you can take the club head back slow and build speed up is back too. Stu thankyou. There are many swing gurus out there and most of them could not hold a candle to your knowledge. Thank you indeed. Martin.
Another stellar video, Stu. Keep educating us, we sorely need it. Knowledge is quite powerful, but only if used correctly and at the right time and place. I use to be one of those golfers who believed that I had to bow my lead wrist to square the clubface, and tried for years to do that with varying results (horrible advice from others who were completely wrong at least for my game). It wasn't until I adopted a stronger grip and let my entire body move naturally that I found my way. The results were better strikes, more distance and tighter dispersions, all with less effort. It's amazing how your body will do what's right if you let it. Cheers.
when i first started watching your videos I have to say i was skeptical at what you were teaching. Now i'm a complete convert and watch you exclusively. I havent been able to hit to many balls at the range yet because of the weather but i have been working on the grip. I have to admit it does feel different but i am slowly getting a feel for it. Keep up the great content!!!!!!
Follow up on progress. I am now hitting more greens in regulation and driving the ball more accurately off the tee. your video series have completely changed my game. Thank you so much!!!!!
Another question arises after trying your tips on the course: how do you play out of the rough? I have a lot of difficulties to keep a smooth grip-pressure and allow the club to swing when the ball is in the thick stuff... Any thoughts/help about that?
Very good video, so much that might be relevant to me, especially the bit about how so many golfers hold off through strike - will discuss with you when I see you at the next lesson
Well, long time no talk. Caught this video and realized how opposite my struggles have been for so many years. The exaggerated swing you made has been me for years without knowing anything about path. Took a few lessons from the local pro and he has me setting up like Rocco Mediate and trying to go more steep with the shaft. I’ve had success but it has been fleeting. Work, vacation and grandkids have trumped practice. Men’s league has started and the scores are creeping up. The grip has slipped weaker and weaker also. Gonna head back into your archives and see if I can rejuvenate the swing. Hope you’re well my friend. Warm regards, NWH
That was awesome. For so long I played with a very strong grip. But i flipped it. So far in to out and big power draws with low flight. And my divots were pointing to the right also (right handed) with deeper divots. I played pretty good this way but i knew i had to change something. Now i have a neutral grip and swing a little out to in and hit straight to little fades with higher ball flight. I don't have that compression feeling anymore. I need to do what you are doing.
Thanks Stu, it seems a completely different approach to teaching the golf swing. So would you say that the HackMotion is not a tool that would be of much use using this method as it looks for 15 degrees less cupping from address to impact ? Thanks ⛳️
Hey Mark - the Hackmotion is a great bit of kit, no question, but my advice would be to use as guidance with how you use your writs angles rather than the advice of Hackmotion. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu 😊
When I’ve managed to sync this pressure down thru strike with the rest of my tortuous swing, I’ve made some of the best strikes ever. Keep banging that drum Stu 😂
Excuse my question, but I must ask...is the downward pressure commenced at the set at address or through the strike? I just think I missed something. Your videos are very refreshing... thanks for your efforts.
Hey Moe, lovely to hear from you. I’d strongly advise checking out this playlist of four videos that will really help your clarity ruclips.net/p/PLM4d__RZTqG0vNuuTVv9vm2BUUKaBVjN8&si=8gAofpiUJ2Cl7v6Q Best wishes Stu 😊
Great video again Stu. You may have covered this and I may be missing the point but could you do something on the grip in transition from wrist cock at top of swing to point of unloading
pressure down + the left wrist action is definitely 2 vital ingredients in building a confident ,high quality repetitive swing : interestingly enough, it takes a lot of playing to discover & acquire the feeling ! your teaching is changing my golf for the better and makes playing golf so much more fun ......... thank you Stuart
Hi Stu, as you have instructed previously the clubhead passes the hands with driver before the ball and after the ball with irons. I have question relating this video. Do you actively use the hands to move the clubhead after the pull phase or is it more passive initiated by the pull of the handle with the momentum of the clubhead causing it to pass the hands?
Hey Mel I have a video coming out next week on this. Far easier to demonstrate than explain. Hope that’s not too much of a dodging question 😬 Best wishes Stu
same question--what happens after the pull? also what about the right hand. Do you press down with it? Other videos show you pulling up with the right to keep the club more level. Could you explain?
Stu, what about the right hand. Other videos show the right hand pulling up while the left pushes down. But do both hands push down on the release? This is the only clarification I need. thanks
Hi Richard - in all my videos I reference both hands pulling, not one more than the other. To find out more, watch my “Broom Series” videos to give you clear detail my friend. Best wishes Stu 😊
@@GoodGolfCoaching Yes I under stand that in the pull phase but as you start to push down on the club shaft, do both the left hand and right hand push down. In other videos with a weight on the end of the club you show the right hand lifting up. Does this apply to the golf swing without the heavy weight or do both the left and right hand push down on the handle.
The pressure stays the exact same. If you check out my “angle of attack” videos you will understand the changes. Any further questions, please ask! Best wishes Stu 😊

Am I the only one who finds that this sort of release sometimes results in striking one's self with the butt of the handle in what I believe you guys refer to as the "bollocks"?? Actually, the more common - though likely related issue - is toe shanks. TIA
@@GoodGolfCoaching Hmmm. Used to get some extra "sling" in my tennis serve by holding the end of the grip down in my palm. Bet I'd never risk pulling just my *hands* in that close. Now recall, though, that I had to give that up when I wore a hole in my palm. . .

Grip it tighter, don’t let it swing as much; uses leading edge but will open you up to hitting slightly right.
@@GoodGolfCoaching Thank you very much Stuart. Fast as always ;-) Would a quite lighter grip also help a little?
Sure would!

Both push down Richard through strike; whilst applying the leverage I/U describe. Hope that helps.
