10k Watts for $300? Power Acoustik EG1-10000D Amp Dyno Test
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 окт 2024
- I've received many requests to try this Power Acoustik EG1-10000D on the Amp Dyno to find out the "true" numbers. A 10k amp for $300 sounds too good to be true....so is it? Or does it meet it's ratings:
1600W at 4 ohms
3300W at 2 ohms
5000W at 1 ohm
All "RMS" ratings, plus box says it is a 0.5 ohm stable amp, so we tested it at this load as well. Check it out and hit thumbs up if you appreciate me buying this amp and testing to get the truth out there...

BigDWiz not sure where to ask this but can you please test some more power acoustik amps?
Recommendations:
Demon series ii d4.2400
Demon series ii d1.4000
And maybe some of the older small amps from their lineup. Much appreciated. Great content thus far
So I don't understand how manufacturers are able to get away with labeling their products with lies? Any insight?
BigDWiz is it good or bad brother is it 10'000 or less
In your opinion is it worth it for the $300? One more ? For you boss what is a good amp for the 300 range I only have 2 12s that are 1000 watt each. Been wanting to just buy the big fosgate amp but its $1500 is there any thing on the market one those gems that really puts out power for a low price thank you for your time GREAT VIDEOS APPRECIATE YOUR TIME
I think they messed up on the labeling cause if you move your results over a space on your chart then you get very close to the ratings listed, probably ment 2 ohm 1660, 1 Ohm 2832, and .5 ohm 4877 which is very close. Seen alot of miss labeling with these kinda companies.
Any company that places a claim, should be able to back it up, prove it.
if not then suit for false advertising.
You cant it is not a CEA compliant amplifier so there is nothing you can do about it.
Benjamin Hopkins yes there is, don't buy it!
It only legally has to accomplish it math wise, not in real life applications, sadly.
Trey Nathaniel doesn't even manage a power draw close to 10kW
all in all, not bad for $300 . I have heard this amp on 2 dc lvl 5 15's d2 @.5 and it sounded decent. the output isn't all that clean but it's still ok to wow the crowd... a little lol. thx for the video
This is why I love watching your videos man. True numbers. Bought my Audiopipe amps because of your dyno tests. You rock bud!!
Timely video man. My friend and I was talking about that same amp earlier today, and now we have some numbers it really helps a lot. Keep those dyno test coming much appreciated!!
It fits the bill. I always hold these types of amps at half the rated RMS and this one was damn near perfect.
+Hless421 it's just so cool to have a tool that lets us know for sure! Otherwise we are just guessing....
Dereck BigDWiz It's even cooler when people make videos of the testing and results ;P
also, i have to agree with everyone here...THANK YOU SO MUCH! for doing these amo test...you take alot of the guess work out of building a system. great job D!
Guts dont look too bad, they should just rate i as 2500 watts RMS at 1 ohm and it should sell
+bassmansoundking99 precisely. But 10kW sounds much better, right?
Yeah sounds good and maybe lots will never know.
bassmansoundking99 your right. it looks like a slightly more beefed up board from a hifonics brz2400. For 300 it's not bad for a daily with a couple 1k RMS drivers. I would rather pay half the price instead of 700 for a sundown 2500 or 3k ect
I just think lesser quality amps need to be better cared for, as in better voltage to protect it. Often they have a weak power supply, or just enough fets to support output, but not enough built-in headroom.
i know ive checked out the planet audio anarchy 1200 .2 and 3000.1 and they look to have most of the same componets but i have found a 1200.1 d from way back that might do it ( i hope ) i did a multi meter test and it came out if i did my math right to 423 wats at 4 ohm with 6 gauge wire a 150 amp stock alt reg battery and a pioneer lower end head unit with a line driver but most of my older amps seem to be on the better side of me believing there rated power newer ones i look at and say divide by half that at least if not worse
This is one of your videos I keep watching over again. Amp is rather impressive
You're pretty good at analyzing power ratings. Keep up the good work!
I have great tools 🤙
What about the American Audio V4000W House amp? Rate it please!
All joking aside...how can they not be sued for false advertising or straight up scamming people that don't know they build shit products? I feel like you could buy this...test it and take them to court.
Flexin Five Hundred Same reason why the news can knowingly lie to you. Same reason Obama sold Obamacare with the line "you can keep your health insurance/ doctor if you want" when he knew all along that was a lie.
this is how most of the marketing works now.. you see this shit everywhere
Flexin Five Hundred every company does it
It probably can put the power out with distortion. These test are with
Cdogg2233 did u watch the videoo, only the Certified runs stop at 1% distortion, the uncertified ones stop at literal clipping, which is when it made 2500~ wrms
thank you appreciate you doing the test, saved me the trouble of buying another b.s. amp like the ssl 5000d
Lol didnt he dyno that too??? If i recall its not terrible like 1500 rms cert i think n what did it cost? 130 bucks??
True 1800 watts rms and it does 0.5ohms stable. Very good for the price
This guy is is so cool, everyone need a friend like BigDWiz! I bet he is a real stand up guy.
+TheImightyDixel 😊
Agreed.
I've seen this around, and figured it was too good to be true. Thanks for dynoing it
+Michael Smith Just trying to get da truf out there :-)
+Dereck BigDWiz i wish u would do a TARAMP BROTHA..HD LINE.
or soundigital, banda, stetson
big brazilian brand amps
+Dereck BigDWiz Hey bud' i noticed you where in the N.C. area. I am too. I seen where you demo'd a old coworker of mines' peach colored mazda 2200 with the old school xtr 15's. I believe in Wake Forrest. Any way i would like you to dyno my cxa 1800 kicker amp. I know it's not 1 ohm stable and I've never tried, but I would like to see what it would do. I would let you barrow it for the show. Anyways im close to Hickory if your interested. and i wouldn't mind making a small donation for the sake of the show. So let me know if you're interested. Thanks for the awesome show. Brings back memories.
2-3k watts for 300 isn't bad. my thing is why not just call it a 2500D and make yourself look better as a company. granted this thing probably won't last but hey..
are you new to this car audio stuff?
it's rating is based on 2 amps bridged together.
The CAB produces more RMS cheaper!!!
if a 1600 watt CAB at 200 dollars produces more RMS than A 300 dollar amp producing near 5000 watts playing music how is it cheaper?
juggernautxtr check out his testing on CAB.. isn’t 1600 Watts! It’s more
Thanks for testing this amp, now my suspicion that my Power Acoustik BAMF 1200 is way under powered is correct.
I pushed 2 gw3-10 on 2 ohm load off an orion 2500d which is rated for 1700 rms. Gain set via smd dd1 and never blew one. Did blow one hooking 4 up to the amp at 1 ohm but could been a fluke. Everyone here knows Orion is way under rated
It still a lot of power for the money. I remember back in the early 90s when wattage cost $1 per watt. Now it's 10 cents a watt.
so pleased you reviewed this
but still rather have a CAB
I know this is a old video but the edge 7,000k is better than the 10,000k and I'm running 2 dual 4 15" bd3 audiopipes at 1200 RMS a piece and they hit like a beast! I have cracked two sealed enclosures since I've had it! So these are not bad amps at all.
wow, thanks for the video. this amp looks a lot like a Mosconi Amp.
+jose luis ruiz My buddy @HiFiVega calls it "Mosphony"
Dereck BigDWiz hahaha.
+jose luis ruiz Moscloni is better
+Kazuhiro hahaha moscloni! :)
+Danny Wean it actually is the soundstream 3000 soundstream and PA come from the same company
Thank you for the testing this amp. Was considering getting one but not now.
You are welcome. I added my text review on Amazon as well so people there can know da truf. Some guy posted a review saying he was an expert and put the manufacturer's specs and rambled on about him being in the industry for XX years. But the review says nothing about the amp itself. Completely useless.
I can't believe companies still overboast specifications on car amps, just say it does 5000w at .5 ohm then i will buy it because it actually does it, but for them to say it does twice that, makes them look bad, and makes me think the amp is crap :|
it would still be a great deal if they marketed it as a 4500watt amp so idk why they gota lie.
+123devinzz1 Because most buyers are ignorant of anything other than what is printed on the box.
why not, it sells and that's what matters to then
because its false advertising
Adrian Paul
yeah i gave the rundown on how that works on another comment, 10K ain't the power rating, thats the life expectancy, you'll get 10,000 watts out of it, just not all at the same time.
False advertising is when you buy a box of cereal and the box says it gives you energy but does not have a disclaimer on it saying that it has not been tested and no FDA testing has been done to support those claims. Guess what? Kellogg done f*cked, Class action lawsuit b*tches, BAM, $3 Check in my pocket, As soon as I find a place that will cash a check for less the $3 wont be nothing left to do but count my money. (true story besides the finding a place to cash it, i deposited the check in the bank and ain't looked back since)
They meant 5000 RMS with two of them strapped at 22 volts! They forgot to mention that!
It still put out more power than I expected but Im thinking I still wouldnt pay 300 for it.
Thanks for posting this, I wondered about this amp a few months ago.
would love to see some dyno's of any of the new amps from orion xtr line-up like the orion xtr 1500d
I was thinking the exact same thing !
it would be interesting
Dwiz, can you do some new Orion amps?
I've owned the Orion XTR 2200 and liked it so much I bought the supposedly updated XTR 2500. They didn't update anything but the name. Exact same amp, over preformed at 2200 so they changed the label to 2500. They claim rated at 12.6v but I couldn't get rated at that voltage. I DID get rated at 14.8 however. Phenomenal performance at half ohm as well, get a little warm however...
For a few bucks more the hcca litteraly doubles rms over the xtr. Js
wanted to say this was spot on.....i clamped one at a show yesterday.....rising to 1.8ohm idk what his voltage was but he had 900 somthing clean and was dropping fast from bad electrical. i had to come back here today to see what it done on dyno @2ohm
Yelp that looks like my soundstream amp. I was running 2 strapped at 1 ohm, and they wasn't doing to bad at a half ohm each. But they were pulling to much from my current electrical system, so I took one out for the time being :( I'm glad you did this test Big D!!
+Subwoofer King No doubt, 2 of these would suck the life out of most even upgraded electrical systems!
DAMN YOUR CAMERA IS IMPECCABLE THIS VIDEO LOOKS 3D
+BartCast funny fact? In the past I used a $900 Panasonic 1080/60p video camera, not many comments about video quality. I started using my iPhone 6s Plus (for convenience) in 1080/60p mode and I've had dozens of comments about how good the video looks. Go figure!
oh wow...i have the same phone....i should try uploading from my phone see how it turns out...i woulda thought it was like a $3000 camera
+BartCast here's my secret...record using iPhone. Edit using iMovie on the phone. Copy file to computer using Photosync program. Upload to RUclips. If you go straight from phone to RUclips, it compresses the video more. My 2 cents 😜
will do thanks...and great vids keep em comin!!!
I just want to say the main reason this all looks so good is because it's uploaded at 60fps
Thanks for the video, i see these are now only $130 on ebay and after watching this i think i will buy one! i only have a single skar zvx 12 do i think this will be perfect for me!
It pulls over 350 amp's from your vehicle.!! better get ready for replacing your stock altenator
and adding several batteries
well no shit. you expect a stock alternator to keep up with any amp making that much power?
@@dirtrider88 my stock alternator can keep up with my sundown 4000w
Bro that doesnt add up. My 120A alternator cant keep up with 2000w amp so you need to turn the gain up or drop the impedance :) I have 75mm2 run from front to back.
@@dirtrider88
It's not that simple. First off, this amp will not draw 350 amps on average. Maybe 150-175. If you support that with a XS D1400 14 V battery, and run a ´half decent atl. then you're good to go.
As far as what a stock car will support? It depends on the car. My Ram came with 440 amps worth of alt. from the factory :)
I nearly burst out laughing when it stopped at 1900 cert!!! I'm surprised you didn't even though I sensed a muffled kind of chuckle reaction.
+papapetad you are laughing, I was crying inside after spending 300 for this amp...
@@wal oh stop youve had much worse hell that geavity 8 k lost to this great white hype
if this amp just said it put out what it does than they probably would be a thriving company now (power acoustic)
10000 watts for $300 yeeeaaahhhh not happening
I think he means if they posted that it can pull 2500rms@1ohm instead of lying
Really liking your videos, even going back to watch the old ones so keep it up you just earned another follower. Do you have some sort of results archive? That would be really amazing.
+14aartis results archive is in the plans. Glad to have you watching 🤙
Glad to hear that!
the DG in EDGE looks like DC Audios logo.
it does now i see it crazy trying to make u think u may getting a DC amp
dueloneduel ü
This guy BigDWiz is giving us true real Numbers before you buy OR sell,Wich I do.Its changed my arsenal and prices! But most important, example,I had a PG m100 Wich was rated like under 300w. Turns out it’s does over 1k. Had it on eBay,I would sold it for $100,then seen BidDwiz show it’s a true 1,000 watt,I changed the ad and got me $500 Benny’s.Keep the lessons coming. But I wish I’d see more old Alpines late 80s early 90s as I have so many ,and how about testing stereos that claim 50x4,60x4 etc. That would help a lot of people pick correct stereo out and also put shame on those ‘Sony Pioneer’ for over rating.
+JIMMY JOHNSON so that’s why I can’t get any deals on eBay anymore 😱
How you gonna bite off mosconi's design though??! Terrible.
Real fricken easy.
before i even watch this, thank you... I been waiting for this test for a month now... thanks thanks thanks thanks
+James Fantroy Just watch the video 500 times and share with 2000 of your closest friends to thank me...lol
+Dereck BigDWiz lol, what are going to do with the amp now?
Have not decided for sure
With the amount of amps this thing was drawing you should have been getting significantly more power. What a giant piece of shit.
Thezuule $300 dollar pos
Thezuule you will easily pay double the amount for less power from a better company. your build could be a budget build and 2 of these strapped would be just fine
Brad Icenhour It wouldn't be though because you would need to spend a ton more upgrading the electrical system to produce that power. It appears this amp isn't terribly efficient.
Thezuule you obviously don't do your own installs
Brad Icenhour You're obviously a jackass. Do you even understand how an amplifier works? This amp is inefficient to the point that it would likely cost more in extra alts and batteries than you would spend if you just bought amps that weren't garbage.
I used to have that same watch.. One of the best seikos for the money.
Absolutely insane the amount of amperage it pulled to what it pushed out seems like if u were having a 300 amp draw u should be getting at least a good 4500 watts
Daniel Harrell no with a good amp a 400 amp draw really can only support around 3.5k-3.8k . all amps have an efficiency rating. most decent amps are 80% or above. that means you have a 20% loss when converting amps to wattage. for you example to be true you would need an amplifier with a 150% efficiency. that is impossible as energy is always lost as heat and other ways. the most efficient amps on the market are around 90%.
my saz2500v2 was ratted for a 300 amp main fues just to push 2.5k at 1 ohm. at .5 ohm it jumped to around 2.85k so its efficiency at half ohm increased to closer to 90 something percent.
anyway I just wrote this to help you better understand how fusing relates to maximum wattage. also I seen it had 2 likes so there is more than just you that are mis informed about how amperage draw directly related to efficiency rating and maximum wattage. you will never find a 12v amp with a 300 amp fuse pushing 4k.... unless the fuse isn't working right or is some kind if a cheater fuse.
mike smiley did a test of some special fuses he found and was able to pull almost 400 amps through a 100 amp rated fuse. this is why most car stereo comps stopped using fuses for classification and went directly to clamping the amps. some fuses just refuse to pop at rated draw and some people were using slow blow fuses to exceed the rated amperage in their respected class.
hope this helps and clears up your misunderstanding.
its a class AB, there about the least efficient type of amp there is.
@@dirtrider88 where are you even getting that fake news from?
..it says right in the name that it's a class D
I have no idea where I got that from. maybe I googled the amp and was reading the specs for something else?
@@dirtrider88 lol..well at least youre honest.
Hey man, I been watching your videos for about a year now. Thanks for all the info and dyno tests. Could you put any of the Lanzar Opti series in the dyno. Just to see how they really work. The spanish community will be really thankful if you do so. Nobody in youtube has done it before, you will be getting all those viewers.
+Randy Fermin Thanks for watching and for the comment! I think those Opti's you are referring to are pretty pricey. I'd love to be able to test one, maybe sometime in the future.
+Dereck BigDWiz I have a Opti 900x2 and a 6,000D I could send you so they can be tested If the shipping price is not too expensive
Another amp like this is the soundstream TA1.3000D really wish you could bench that one..
Kenneth Harless they do make better amps then power acoustic atleast clean suns wise they used to atleast but they do own power acoustic. 5 years ago I was a installer and installed alot of both company's stuff soundstream amps didn't have many issues but one with a power acoustic 3000d we had to go threw like 4 or more new one to find one that wasn't in protect for some reason I said screw it and the in a soundstream 2500
They do the 4 k n 6 k
I actually want to see more videos like as well as old school too! It's really entertaining👍 I'm sudded for more.
+Kevin Nieto New amps, old amps, head units, subwoofers, who knows what else is coming your way, but I'm just going to keep pumping out the vids. I appreciate you guys watching and commenting.
+Dereck BigDWiz hope one day you get in a Rockford Fosgate punch 801S amp the ones that are rated "2400" watts max to test
if they would just have put 5000wattsmax on it instead of 10000max it wouldn't such a disappointment almost 5k at .5 ohm dynamic for $300 bucks not to bad
+Eric Highfill but remember the Sonido Mask 3k did over 7kW dynamic?
+Dereck BigDWiz very tru!
it's a good amount of power, but who really thought a power acoustic amp would do rated......always entertaining Derek..
Dang 350 amps.
+Scott Miller #SmackYoAlt
not surprised !!!! keep up the awesome job.
wish u would've shown the amp draw at 4800 watts
+dmayse1000 the dynamic tests are difficult to capture current pulls because the bursts are faster than most clamps can measure
BigDWiz could you possibly do a dyno on the hifionics zrx2416.1d? I heard that hifionics is supposedly cea compliant now
I was immediately thinking the exact same thing
my guts on my pure audio K3 is beefier than that. I would love to see u do dyno on the new pure audio K3, K5 or K7
4800 watts for $300? Who cares what the box says.
It's clipped. Useless.
@@AB-80X exactly. All that power is not being turned in the proper sound wave. It doesn't mean anything.
This amp only puts out 1900 watts at 1 ohm while only turning 58% of the power it pulled into sound. Its garbage there are more efficient amps for the money that will get just as loud or louder. I'm pretty sure you can get closer to that output with a cheaper Hifonics amp with an easy 8% or higher efficiency improvement. You could get two Pioneer 9601s that will output more than this for the same money and draw less power at the same time
@@AB-80X Ran TO clipping. Dynamic are bursts or RMS respectively. So yes you will see those numbers in bursts, how consistently and for how long is the question. Dialing down,as anyone with a clue would know, down just below clipping,I'd bet 4500 watts conservatively. 4500 watts for 300$? Who cares what the box says. Better? Fuckin' nubz..I swear..
thanks for getting this video out! this is a perfect example of why I don't understand the Epsilon corporation.... if they would ACTUALLY advertise the real output and make this amp look good....they would sell out of these IMMEDIATELY! But they copy another manufacturers aesthetics and post up ridiculous wattage numbers. it's almost like they have a bunch of drunk donkeys for business owners at Epsilon.
+John Wanamaker it's easier to be a follower than a leader
+Dereck BigDWiz especially when your a drunk donkey... lolol
can you test DB Drive amps , I have a new 1500 D I got for $100
You could test it with a multimeter.
thank you for the test .. i think all these companies could learn something from car audio bargain market this same amp as a 2500d and it would be looked at like its a bargain beast not a turd.. i think the cab 1600 had better overall numbers and its just around 200 bucks.. this is likely just parts from a soundstream rubicon 2500d in the power acoustik case..we wont fall for the 10k but many of the flea market shoppers might get told its a 10k amp and at a higher price point.. thank you for all that you do brother..
+Stacy Williams it's all about the numbers, so if they put higher numbers on the box...more usual suspects. You should read the review of the "expert" on Amazon and how he gives this amp a glowing review, yet never mentions anything about it specifically other than he owned a car audio shop for 20 years.
Maybe it will do 10k if you hook it up to 36 volts:p
SpydreX Official lol.... yas... and drow a lot of current !!
If it were rated to handle 36 Volts, either way, higher voltage less current draw.
@@anishpatel5715
That depends. If the internals can support the power, the amps will stay the same as voltage goes up.
However, I suspect that the amp will not like that much voltage...
Where do these manufacturers get their numbers??? Such bloated numbers on these "bargain" amps! Great video as always!
out their ass
+DJ Siryn they have no rules to follow, so they bloat the numbers so people who don't know better buy their stuff. That's my guess...
+Dereck BigDWiz That would explain why these are found in flea markets and pawn shops.... Smh... It's really disingenuous to people that don't know any better. However, on the flip side of that coin.... They buyer should have done a bit of research as well. There are some good budget brands but then there are these that are laughably bad. :) I miss the days when amps where highly underrated and you would get a pleasant surprise when your 100 watt amp made 500 or more rms! LOL!
+DJ Siryn the numbers are cool for videos, but I personally use Class A/B and less than 1000W on subs and that's enough for me. I just enjoy testing amps and want people to understand what they are buying. Inefficient amps require more electrical, inefficient subs require more wattage, thus more amps and electrical. It is a vicious cycled. The old school amps I prefer were for the most part made in the USA, cost $2-5 per watt and are still working today....20-30 years later. Although this amp seems like a deal at $300, I doubt it will be working in 20 years
+Dereck BigDWiz Very true! I still have a few old Orion amps from the early to mid 90's that still work like champs.. One of them even went through a flood and sat underwater fro a day or so. I sat it up on a shelf thinking that it was a lost cause and a year or so later, I decided to clean it off and hook it up and it freaking worked! I was astounded. My old PPI amps are still amazing too.
Still tho... 2000 W RMS at 1 ohm 4800 burst at 0.5 for $289.99?
That's not really a terrible deal
current is way to high for the output.. so no this is a very bad deal
you could probably get an amp that draws less current and delivers this amount of power. However that amp will have a very different pricetag. being this amp costs so little money it sure delivers where it should. nearly 5kW @.5 ohms in peaks is nothing to be ashamed of!
Jeroen Schuuring unless you have a weak electrical system in your car
in which case you should take care of that weak electrical system before installing an amp of this magnitude! any standard car's battery and Alternator are gonna fail at this kind of power. regardles of which brand you install an amp capable of this output!
Shit that's how I'm looking at it
I knew those results were coming
Nicely done 👍🏽
+Bj Hammon thanks bro!
have you did one on the orain Cobalt 6400
People need to start suing these amp companies for false advertisement then we might actually get some good products that actually do what they say they will
I had a '250 watt' Power Acoustik amp in the late 90's on a single Blaupunkt 12" and now understand why it never really did the job... I feel closure!
Was trying to see if you had any dyno info for a Power Acoustik OV2-1200 1200W. I think this answers my curiosity about what to expect from it though.
I got one of the 2500w ones from Walmart that's $100, for $20, and I'll be fair and say it's apparent it's not anywhere near 2500w, but the output sound is clean and it runs 2 12s with ease.
Might go with this. Im running 4 12" kicker cvx 3k rms and have it wired to 0.5 ohm.
been beatin the hell out of a bamf 2000/1d for over a year now and its louder than i need and clean sounding and never gets hot. Def likes a good cap tho
Well.. As a rule of thumb with Power Acoustik, Calculate half of the rated power to get the idea of where you are at..
So if it says 5000 watts, then assume that the amp will do about 2500..
Anyways.. I would love to see the Pioneer GM-D9601 on the amp dyno.. It's a very popular amp that's both cheap and many claims that it DOES rated power (1200w at 1 ohm) - Would guess that it does so dynamically
False claims to sell amps is still cheating the customer. You know, I know, many others know, but there is a large population of car audio consumers who don't know. This is why I make these videos. The Amp Dyno does not care what brand or price an amp is...it just measures wattage.
To citate Steve Meade: "The Honey Badger doesn't care"
But keep up the work of making these videos. While Steve hasn't made any Amp Test Tuesday videos in a while, I had to look elsewhere, and it seems that you are the best source of amp-dynoing videos right now
And I like to see the true potential of amplifiers, to see whether or not certain amplifiers can do rated power..
I would done some myself if I had the SMD AD-1 and a shit ton of batteries. I'd like to see what some of the common brands in the EU can do..
Did this amp heat up @ .5 ohms
Do you sell the amps after testing them? Or do you hang on to them? Love watching all your videos. Keep up the good work!!! Thanks buddy
+northkali51o it depends on the Amp. I had this one listed for months, nobody wanted it.
Wanna see you test some household amplifier like qsc 5050 and so on I need to see the test before I go and buy I'd really appreciate it bro ur doing a great job
As time permits I’ll try!
BigDWiz great I'll be looking put for them
With no fan and not much air space, how long will it run at half ohm before overheating?
Maybe not the claimed wattage, but willing to bet not bad price for what it is. I've always enjoyed the top manufacturer brands..... but is also the enclosure and how you set up a system... not just power.
Yea I have this thing powering 2 skar 12in evls and they hit hard. The evls are 1250rms and match up very nice I also have 3 batteries didn't want to upgrade alt unless absolutely have to and with the 3 batteries voltage drop is very low runs between 13.5-14.3v so not bad!
👌😬👍
Amp looks fantastic I guess decent for what it is I remember because of you I bought the audiopipe apmi 2k now that is a gem of an amp I want another one but they raised the price so much from 170 it's almost 3hundred now guess they seen they could make more money one it
Hey big guy nice videos like how u let ppl kno before they buy something keep it up... please can u do a video of a audio pipe apcl30001d. Bc I was impressed whit the apcl1500d1 so I wana c what the 3000 can do, thanks man and keep up the videos...
"Simple car stereo integration" it says on the box, as though an unadultered car can handle an amp with a 300a current draw. lol! Gonna need a HO amp and some extra bolstered electrical to run this...and if you are going to add a HO alt and big electrical you probably should look at different amps that do what they say they will...
I dont understand how companies can advertise amps at 3 times more than they actually make
+Daniel Rich because "MAX" is so loosely defined
almost no amps actually put out rated power if it does 4k rms for 300 bucks its not a bad deal at all. plus im sure if u can get em better voltage theyd pump a little more it's basically a stock alternator test. my 6ks hit way harder at 15.5v then the 14v
if somebody just wanted to say they got huge amps this would not be bad for the price. my brother has 2 of there running 2 kicker 15L7s and they do bang. his set up looks good and clean with high end JLaudio midst and highs and a new pioneer head unit that ran him like 1200$ and X'SPower batteries so OT does look and sound good and he don't have bit like 420 in both amps.
Great video👍🏻
2800 at 1Ω and 4800 at .5Ω that's pretty good for $300+- dollars if only it was about $75 or so cheaper
thanks for making these vids!!
+rude235 👍
I know PA stopped making the GT1 gothic series amps but would you be able to test one, ive been running the GT1-4500D for the past few years, subs I went through but not blown we’re 2 txxbd3 12” subs, 2 Hifonics brutus 15” subs and then to 2 Power acoustik Gothic Gw12-4 12” subs all did well with some tuning and of course stock electrics and 136 amp alt. The txxbd3’s were enough to push my wind shield seals out when I finally wired it to 1ohm in my extended cab ford ranger. Merry Christmas 🎄
None of the power acoustik amps or subs I have seen are CEA certified so wattages are rated on Saturn or something. Ive owned a few PA products over the year and only thing I can say are actually worth the price are the mofo subs. Currently have a single mofox 12 on a jbl gto 700.1 in a 2ft3 slot port tuned to 36hz and it moves ALOT of air and is suprisingly quick and tight also. Big d u ever test a gto 700.1? Havemt clamped mine but at 2 ohms its rated at 700 rms, Id be willing to bet closer to 1000 watts tho
Please do a test on a power acoustik A3000DB! My cousin had 1 on two 15 inch flame Q compression Audiobahn subs and hit a 153.4 back n the day! I would love to know what this thing really is puttin out!
Power Acoustik still making amps that are over-rated. Takes me back to high school. Now if I could just get the RF 600a4 back that was stolen from me in college...
Hi mate, is the DIY cap bank your power supply? Be great to see a walk through video 👍
Lets see almost 5k at .5 ohm for under $400. currently $232.00 @amazon. yeah it draws a lot of current but ...... its a BUDGET AMP. So should I go buy a Big name brand and spend 5X the money and still have to do all the electrical upgrades , just to impress the fan boys and nut huggers or get 2 of these & install them properly. I will still need to do all the electrical upgrades to enjoy my system while laughing @ the people who spent 4x the amount to brag about DB numbers. See me on the street and talk shit then . It wont matter I cant HEAR YOU!!! Thanks Big D love the vids keep em coming!!
+Adrian Young did you say something? I can't hear you over my budget bass, lol
I just ordered me some new main caps for my HCCA225G4, they are 35V 10,000UF made by Panasonic, I will have to stamp the bottom cover slightly to get them to fit comfortably, that is because the 35mm height!
How much did those electrolytics cost you? Are they 105°c rated?
Steven King They are 105 c rated and they were under $10 shipped, but they are Panasonic HA brand caps. 3000 hour life at 105 c with max ripple current! Digikey and Mouser would have ran at least $10 each! I have dealt with several sellers with real quality parts on ebay, we must realize most equipment including Kenwood and JVC, though it is designed in Japan it is manufactured in China! I will only deal with certain sellers, since some have had some pretty cheaply made fake parts!
Over there they will pay women to fly in from Taiwan and other regions and wear garments with parts stored in them, literally women will have 30 lbs of transistors and other components in their clothing! So knowing if your components are stolen or not is also important! Also look at the photos and see what they legs on transistors look like, if they are dipped in solder, they are likely cheap, so avoid that specific one!
+LuxorVan excellent. Glad u got a handle on how to get them, the real deal. I've gotten some fake China garbage before. China should be shut down. Good work man.
Steven King thanks
+Steven King "China should be shut down". Man more truer words have never been spoken! Nothing but cheap junk and espionage comes out of china
10k for $300..... i thought something smelt coil'ey haha
another good review bigDwiz
pleassse review the fusion pp-am20001 .. i recently used one to compete and i am curious of its actual capability.
cheers !
Yo big d could you do a amp test on the kicker cx 1200.1 amplifier and tell me the suggested fuse size I don't know much about car audio I'd greatly appreciate it by the way I enjoy watching your videos man keep up the good work!
Check the manual, Kicker provides excellent info
@@wal thanks and I did I looked it up. Dont have the manual as I purchased it used. Also if you do ever happen to come across the kicker cx 1200.1 the first cx series yellow and black one from 2012 not the updated cx grey and black one and if you have the time, throw her on the dyno and let's see what she can do.
Rms power is great but how about subwoofer damping (control). Sometimes theirs a reason why some amps cost more. “It’s because it is not just clean, it is clean and detailed” I like loud, deep, low end bass, mid bass, mid range, high mid, low high, and top highs just full, precise, and complete with the ability to hit 150+ dB under 35hz!!!
Great video!! Have u tested any american bass or crunch amps
No AB yet, but yes old school Crunch 50SHC
Even if it doesn't make claimed, 5700 W is still stout for a $250.00 amp. Not taking a side, just asking. What do you expect from an Amp at the 250.00 range? I do agree, a little honesty would give some credibility
I dot expect 10k, but would appreciate honesty. You don’t see car mfg’s saying 500 MAX HP and 250HP continuous 😜
I would like to see bench test a stentorian 100hc amp
Hey Big D, power acoustik vertigo va1 10000D have you seen this one?
Test the vertigo 10,000 watt please
Great video. 👍 It did a lil more then expected but I still wouldn't buy that amp. Too power hungry. I haven't seen an amp dyno for the new q1-2200.2 or q1-4500.1. Was wondering if you could make that happen?
Can you test one of the small blade amps?
Wow. Just...wow.
It would be nice to see a test from you on the JL Audio HD600 and the Alpine PDX-F6
+CAMDENN MUSTANG sounds like a good Dyno drag! I'm not sure my local dealer carries these, if they do, I can get both to try out. Lemme check...
I think it a factory Faulty that they did not write the manual can go down into 0.5 ohm
Power acoustik EG1 - 10000D 10000w max power. 5,000 RMS -- 0.5 ohm. 3,300 RMS -- 1 ohm. 1,600 RMS -- 2 ohm.
At the time I got this amp, I posted the ratings provided by the manufacturer (website and manual). Since that time, they have updated the ratings.
