In the west it's not even so bad. Local thai amps(local made for local market) and pa speakers get like 90x rating. Like the rails inside the amp are 30 volts and the sticker is 3000w.
On the other hand you can buy everything to fix them at a counter including speaker cones, rubbers, coils, transistors for the amps, transformers (the big party speakers are fairly sensitive so a stack on a pickup with a generator does make a lot of noise).

I have brought this point up with the boss amplifiers a couple of times. When you look at the build of their amplifiers, these are solid pieces of equipment built like tanks. I doubt very few people that use them have had a solder joint brake or component come loose due to vibration. The bad part is they've so vastly overrated their amplifiers that no one and the car audio community is going to take them seriously anymore. Now that they have gone all these years with his vastly overrated components and devalued their brand, they can't afford or charge enough to put out a decent quality head unit. The head unit is the starting point for most people getting into car audio and if you burn them on the first step they're not going to choose you for the second step which is amplifiers and speakers.
The fact of them trying to increase sales is going to lead to the end of their company.

Considering that we have flat panel capacitors and disk capacitors today and basically I have always had the ability to change the shape of capacitance. And cooling.
We could have a flat amplifier that is no thicker than the mosfet chip.
With a circuit board with flat traces power can be flat.
So the cooling and also Components to be surface mount.
They could make a amplifier that is as thick as a clipboard but it will be larger surface area flat.
But you could have the amplifiers inside of the headliner. You could create a event at the top of your windshield... At the seal... And do an intake... That goes in the front and out the back.
Of course this would be especially made vehicle.
It would be the 1st vehicle that would have amplifiers built into it.

    Hello American Friend!
It was necessary to attach a small neodymium magnet to the plastic panel and it would be magnetized to the self-tapping screw behind the panel, then draw with a felt-tip pen around the circumference of the magnet, then peel it off and drill the circle to the self-tapping screw with a framing drill, then the self-tapping screw can be easily unscrewed without breaking the panel and without peeling it off.
P.S. *a small neodymium magnet can be obtained from modern in-ear headphones
    ///
    Привет Американский Друг!

Alright, im at the unboxing part and without reading any comments or seeing the results, im gonna estimate 1000 watts at dynamic. Give or take 50 watts.
I will say that i can see the design being a useful alternative for a couple situations. Nice to see something different that can bring some unique looking installs.
On to the rest of the vid!
    Edit:
It didnt make rated but it did beat my prediction... Sounds like a wash too me. I still like the design. Wouldn't benefit my needs but it could work for others.

After the tear down, you wouldn't have to worry about the Allen keys touching the shield because it's not connected to anything, it's isolated. Great video as always.

The power ratings are still great. It’s more about the dynamic range and audio reproduction quality. Warmth etc. For the price it is excellent and with proper audio design this amp would be a strong performer

It's actually kind of amazing how much power that thing delivers for how small that amplifier really is. Get rid of the cube and stack up those little amplifiers. Looks like 4 of them could make the size of one. And be capable of delivering Is the official 6000 RMS

Would’ve liked to see if the 0gauge inputs made a difference, we could follow the Taramps logic how those are POWER HUNGRY, maybe you could’ve used one of your own dual input adapters, I’m curious to see if a bigger feed would help this amp out…

Considering the plastic base, I have to wonder if the main metal body is a path to ground, they may have actually somewhat planned for that risk of shorting

At 3:13 of the video I’m gonna take a guess without knowing the fuse rating for the amp. Typically the budget amps do their supposed 4 ohm rated power but at their lowest impedance rated. And, typically if we multiply the price by 10 we will be near their output capability similar to multiplying the onboard fusing by the same amount of 10. I didn’t see the rating you showed as I’m on my phone and it was too small so let’s go with pricing and guess 1200 to 1800 watts uncertified. I’m gonna watch now and see if I’m close. Thanks for all the years of great car audio videos !!!!

I have used power acustic for many years and long ago they were a great bargain. PA always lies about power but i knew it was usually half the power and i was fine with that because i knew it was not what was on the box. The subs and amps i used for a very long time did not disappoint for the cheap cost compared to what was available back in 2000

You know the aesthetics and the design are kinda cool but those dreaded angle terminals would be perfect for the setup and second the way the inconsistent power numbers means that's a dirty dirty amp. They should rename that the unfamed Tower of Power 😂. Thanks Big D

I seen this one during it design phase, I would suggest testing the 10k version and yes this one looks like a toaster😅
I follow and support the brand but this is one that I do not have a use for.
They had a little success with the PPI upright model as well as the older D-Tower series Sound Stream amps of the day that allowed the user to mount it verticle or horizontal..

I like that car audio products say 6000w on the labeling but can't even push 2000w. I used to have a 130watt home theather sub and that thing shook me down to the bone, then bought a 300 watt sub setup for my car and that thing was garbo.

I kind of wonder if these companies do a clamp on the power wire and just use the input power as a power rating. I am willing to bet that it draws from the battery similar to what the listed power rating is.

Aye Big D, speaking of trash... I was checking out JBL website and their ARENA subwoofer. they describe the HiTech Motor as "The powerful 2.5 in voice coil is suspended in a separate magnetic gap. At low power, the coil drives the cone, cancelling any non-linearities. As input power increases, the coil continues to drive the cone for incredible power handling. Nothing else even comes close!"

What I see is just the amplifier in the middle of that cube so they have twice the size of an amplifier that they really don't need. They could have gotten away with making it like a shark fin it seems.
One part of advantages if they had a computer size fan on the bottom to suck an air and blow it out the top like a To stroke engine.
