I've been running the same exact amp at 1Ohm for the past 8 months on 0 gauge wire it's done me great and pushed my subs to there limit plus more and still works great

Everyone who buys all these high priced akps and subs are being ripped off because there are certainly companies out there that are making products that compete easily with all that expensive shit and for a fraction of the price, as evidenced by these Dyno videos of budget amps!
Ryan, I remember when you posted this video a little over a year ago, I was looking for a new amp,and for a whole new set up in my ride. I immediately got this amp after seeing this. It still runs 1+ years later. Doesn't get hot or give me any issues.
I just had mine burn up after 2 weeks. 2.1 ohm load, zero bass boost, gain at 1/3rd(set with tweeter distortion test). 20Hz@12db and 60Hz@24dB crossovers in my DSP. It vented an enormous cloud of smoke for ~15 minutes, it was making intermittent arcing sounds when it died. I took photos of the PCB, hmu if you want me to upload.
@@TylerTheBassCreator 2 gauge coarse stranded to everything. I have a 500 farad super capacitor bank under the hood and two glass mats on the APMI amp in the back. Two Rockford Fosgate amps under the seats to run the 3 way active up front. The replacement APMI hasn't had any issues. The first one probably blew up because I had it mounted to the sub enclosure, the new one isn't.
@@SpecialEDy Hey man I know this post is old as hell but I'm curious about how that replacement amp lasted. Looking at one of these but concerned about longevity you know.
kevious cain thank means your starving the amp for power. The vents are on the bottom too. Either put rubber spacers so you have atleast an inch of breathing room or just mount it upside down with vents facing up. And if you dont have atleast 2 spare batteries or a high output alternator, then turn the gain down cause your starving that power hungry amp.
I just traded a (Sinful Sounds "Wrath" 15" Dvc 4ohm subwoofer last night, even out for this Amplifier. I cannot believe the power this thing emits it is beyond any expectation I had in mind!! Performs flawlessly at 1ohm and is giving my 1500 watt RMS 12s (2)... A beating like they deserve LOL and I'm not even at half gain!! Truly a gym for the price! Thank you for the specs brother
Very nice. Buddy of mine ran the apcl-1800.1 @ .5ohm for well over 2 months on average electrical. No issues, we were very impressed. Thanks for the vid 👌🏾
Mus Raniaa - Yessir. Had it pushing a DD9918 in a ported box. Never cut off or blew a fuse. Got as hell, but no issues. Here’s a vid of that setup: ruclips.net/video/YsAB4Vx3xvI/видео.html
Little screws for mounting the bass knob? Speaking of which it'd be nice if they would make the knobs where you can remove them from the casing so you can flush them in the dash or somewhere.
A lot of the ones Ive had actually do, they are just put together in a way that dont seem like they come apart. Most of Fosgates Power line does if I remember right. Thats what all mine where
This amp is actually 1 ohm stable? Please reply quick, i just found one for $100 and was debating whether i should buy dual 4 ohm or 2 ohm subs and wire it to 1 ohm
I'm an older guy, but I still love a clean, hard hitting system, what amazes me is how much I payed for my first 300 watt bridgeable amp compared to sundowns sd2500.1 ,in comparison to the power of the 90's it's all pretty budget these days lol
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for doing this video! I get multiple questions daily about AP products and what this does and that does, including the APMI-2000. Now when someone ask I can give them the link to this, or when the haters are saying it doesn't do rated I can link them up! Keep up the good love the videos! #Basscop #TeamAudiopipe
Good vid. I have 2 of these on 2 HDC3 15s, and I put them on the meter for the first time 2 weeks ago. I pulled 3868 watts out of these amps total. I blew the power supply sections out of my Nendo BC5500 and I got these two amps so I could have some bump while I get the Nendo fixed. Like you, I didn't expect a lot out of them but I was surprised when I played them for the first time. I love these amp but I wish they had a clip light on the bass knob and they do get hotter than I'm use to. They don't sound as good as the Nendo and the bass on the Nendo sounds deeper but for $170 you can't go wrong with these.
I’m from south Louisiana and we have a lot of carjackings down and this type of music is what we started rocking in the early 2000’s and we literally stop getting jack for expensive brands of music so this one a lot of people think this trash and there wrong I have literally see these amps with matching sub shred trunks from the inside out shattered Trunk locks etc honestly I won’t buy anything else when tried we the complete set eq and rca jacks everything you will love it . Only con would be the build in fan that just started making some with the built in fan. Much love thanks and god bless.
I bought this amp like 2 3 years ago and have blown 2 pairs of 12 inch subs a single 15 lol now looking back at the vid i shoulda kept the 2 dials on the right to the left😂😂 just got 2 scar evl 12’s 2 ohm wired in series for a 2 ohm load this video definitely helped me pick and later on figure out what i was doing wrong😂 thanks man wish me luck!
Hell my AP1500.1 16V is still working to this very day. When I saw BIG D do a amp test on one, even being shy or so of it's numbers. I still bought one the next day, great sir ✌️ out 😎
I just bought the audiopipe apmn-2000 for $215 worth every single penny period don't even hesitate buy this amplifier butt you have to run ofc o guage wire I had 100s of amplifiers and this one is the very best one I ever had hardly even gets warm bumping it for hours
These newer audio pipes have been proving them selves time and time again. Big Dwiz just did an amp dyno not to long ago on a bigger one and it also blew the rattings out of the water. Get them while you can.
Man I noticed your testing the audiopipe apmi-2000 watt but now all thats being sold is the Audiopipe apmn-2000, any chance you've had any experience with this amp or do you think it would run similar rms ratings to the amp you tested? Sorry for asking but this would be the perfect amp to run my rockville 15" k9 but I noticed the models are one letter different so was just curious of your thoughts. Thanks bro awesome channel and your the cat audio man!!!
Try that test again at .5 ohm load. I ran one at .5 ohms for over 6 months daily no problems and I bought it ba CVk it 2016 fast forward 3 years and it is still kicking like a champ
After a good 3/4 year run, mine finally went up in smoke! And I think purely on user error tbh! Ran it underpowered for a majority of its life, amp went through an accident that flipped about 4/5 times, got into protect after an hour and a half of bumping on La drives, amp has seen better days! Even after the accident, had it rocking the right way with 2 big xs power batteries, ofc, big 3 besides alt, and the amp came to life at the very end! Lol, smoked on the rca side so who knows! Going to end up buying another audiopipe amp thank you for the videos!!
Thanks man for the video. I don't have a lot of money to work with and this just made my day knowing I can afford high rms output for low cost. Thanks again.
I have a few APCL30001D amps laying around. Would love to see if it could do over 3k. Really great channel that you have. Keep the test coming our way man.
Seen a Dyno they did very well, think it did around 33** and change at 2 ohm dynamic. Like most Audiopipe amps they need good clean power. I have used the APCL 1500 and 1800 Amos and have always had good experience..
I've been pleased with my audiopipe apmi 2000 it's not a competition amp but love that they are strap able to double your power also I've never had a overheating issue it's deffinatly a best buy 4 the money and quality!!!
Exactly like u were saying about the wires running along side of those mosfetts my amp went up in smoke this weekend. The wire to the far right melted thru along with a few of those heat sinks melted.
the apcl 1500d is still a beast of the AP amps. If you search you can get it for as low as $140 and it does over rated. most people run them at 1 or .5 w/o issue and they bang hard. i had one pushing a pair of Soundqubed hds215 and it got them subs throwing real nice. My only issues was the "1/0" inputs that were really 4ga. but thats nothing a reducer can't fix. These have gotten pretty good reviews but I've heard the APSM-2k are shit so I'd like to see you test one of those if you could...just to satisfy my curiousity because you care about my curiousity, lol. But another great vid. You and Big D are a huge help to all us guys who can't afford Sundown, Crescendo, Ampere, but are still hoping to get a decent amount of power for a precious dollars, lol. Hell, a few hours after watching your vid on the SQ 2250 I pulled the trigger and bought one.
This amp here is more of a dealer sold amp. Not one you can necessarily order online, I'm not saying it's impossible but since it came out that amp Is labeled as a dealer special. It is a decent amp
I love love love my apmi2000. Thank you for not stopping at the 1500.. Finally putting to rest that the apmi2000 to me is the budget king. Just can't beat the price. Also thanks for telling people they do not run crazy hot!! mine runs cool with plenty of air space @# 1ohm..
If I can make my only ever request.. AUDIOPIPE APNK40001. Korean board by audiopipe. Still decent price but does it do the power? Thanks for all you do.
But i can say i had an audiopipe 1500 watt amp 2 years ago it didn’t last a month but i think i can be the one to blame i didn’t have proper electrical. It was probably clipping .. it sounded good while it lasted
Awesome man! Love your channel! Finding these buget gems is the shit! Already have two older ap1800.1's that I'm Gunna run strapped...may just have to pick up 2 of these...nice...very nice!
Thank you for the video Ryan, it's really nice seeing this amps rated correctly and for the price of $167. sounds like a good deal. You know I do wonder how long it would last when powering a system for a long period of time.
So i tuned the amp for 1000w into 2 ohm which was 45volts, subs were actually bridged down to .5 ohm, dont work on stereo tired lol,but at a clean 45v into .5 ohm was actually 4198watts rms........ figured out why amp and subs got a bit toasty
Got this amp cuz of your channel this amp sounds freaking great better sound quality than my skar lp1000.1 just gets hot but I need to upgrade my electrical.
I have two of these one setup on two mtx twelve flopping em! Other one on two solo barric twelves hurting shiid with no heating or clipping at 1 ohm it does pull a lot of current though no complaints ya gotta have the juice to play anyway thanks for the video bro
Thanks for the video man. Not a bad amp at all!!!! I've always wanted an audiopipe 3k. Everyone cracks on them and calls them audiopoop but I still want to own a 3k!!!
Love the test. I really wish you could provide noise floor levels. That could help separate the budget gems even further. I mean you pick up a budget gem and get it installed but it has a high noise floor so you get hissing or noise on quiet passages when listening to music. Also..please please grab the 5 channel soundstream Rubicon Nano amp, the RN5.2000 amp and test it. Really want to know if it's the budget gem or a waste of money.
I have two of these. One to each of my zvx 15s. And it fucking SLAMS!!! Amps are run at a final load of 1ohm and they handle it easily at 3/4 gain all day!! Doesn’t overheat and it puts out nice undistorted power. Can’t complain at all. I actually like it better than my old kicker IX 1,000.1 monoblock amp. It’s way better than the kicker crap.
Those red wire close to power supply transistor=fireworks some amps with that problem what happens is the transistor get so hot to the point of melting the wire into it make a solid contact and bummmm there goes the amp
Nice test...what we need from you or big d is an all out budget amp battle...test all the amps like this in the price range and see what amps come out with the most power for the cheapest
I like audio pipe, always thought of it as the generic m/a audio and audiobahn. I always was blown away by the apcl 1500 . I love there subs and they have component speakers that give most a run for there money.
wow..i didn't expect it to run a pyramid blue spec run, but for an amp running electricity thru chinese-ium metals this blew me away! nice test run, man.. #bassheads4life
I have a couple of questions. 1. I'm confused why the amp does more wattage at a lower voltage (2100 @ 13.8 vs 1955 @14.2) 2. I noticed your clip light came on at around 13.8 (certified run), does this mean the amp starts to clip around that voltage? 3. Lets say I wanted to set my gains with a DMM because I'm a peasant, and I set the gains for exactly 1800 watts which would be a square root of 42.4. If I'm playing full tilt, and my voltage starts to drop from 14.5 to 13.5 and lower, does this mean I am clipping?
Just recently purchased. Running execution audio 0 gauge CCA and she gets pretty warm. Would using OFC benefit? I do not have big 3 done. Stock electrical. Just trying to get what I can out of it. With what I have now. Will soon be upgrading electrical tho.
Forgive my ignorance but what is the difference between certified, uncertified, and dynamic? How does that equate to what I would experience in my car?

Everyone who buys all these high priced akps and subs are being ripped off because there are certainly companies out there that are making products that compete easily with all that expensive shit and for a fraction of the price, as evidenced by these Dyno videos of budget amps!
Joe if you don't HEAR the huge difference between my Arc Se4000 and a shitty, cheap one, you have issues.
soundqubeds amps are korean and this is chinese.
these are throw away amps, Korean amps are worth repairing
Ryan, I remember when you posted this video a little over a year ago, I was looking for a new amp,and for a whole new set up in my ride. I immediately got this amp after seeing this. It still runs 1+ years later. Doesn't get hot or give me any issues.
I bought this amp cause of the dyno and 4 yrs later. It is now on 2 Skar ZVXv2's and it makes my car shake so yeah best buy ever for car audio
The 2 screws are for the Bass knob
I just had mine burn up after 2 weeks. 2.1 ohm load, zero bass boost, gain at 1/3rd(set with tweeter distortion test). 20Hz@12db and 60Hz@24dB crossovers in my DSP.
It vented an enormous cloud of smoke for ~15 minutes, it was making intermittent arcing sounds when it died.
I took photos of the PCB, hmu if you want me to upload.
What does your electrical look like?
@@TylerTheBassCreator 2 gauge coarse stranded to everything. I have a 500 farad super capacitor bank under the hood and two glass mats on the APMI amp in the back. Two Rockford Fosgate amps under the seats to run the 3 way active up front.
The replacement APMI hasn't had any issues. The first one probably blew up because I had it mounted to the sub enclosure, the new one isn't.
@@SpecialEDy Hey man I know this post is old as hell but I'm curious about how that replacement amp lasted. Looking at one of these but concerned about longevity you know.
@@donnie4191 It's still alive, but I haven't used it in about a year. Been building a hotrod engine for that van.
@@SpecialEDy user error for sure I've had both of mine for 5 years now no problems and 2yrs at 0.5ohm
I just picked one of these up and it blew my mind its a beast I'm speachless
Bryce Blanchfield what are you pushing with yours I have one but seems to get hot and cut out
kevious cain thank means your starving the amp for power.
ApcL 1800 run .5ohm.?
Mus Raniaa - Yessir. Had it pushing a DD9918 in a ported box. Never cut off or blew a fuse. Got as hell, but no issues. Here’s a vid of that setup: ruclips.net/video/YsAB4Vx3xvI/видео.html
210 / Designs got video.? I confused budget amp can't push .5ohm... if can't i plan to buy....
Mus Raniaa - That’s what we thought 😆 I’m telling yea, I saw it myself. Don’t buy one on my behalf tho, bro 🤷🏽♂️
Mus Raniaa I've got my amp at .7ohm and does fine . helps a lot if you put a fan on the bottom of it
Little screws for mounting the bass knob? Speaking of which it'd be nice if they would make the knobs where you can remove them from the casing so you can flush them in the dash or somewhere.
A lot of the ones Ive had actually do, they are just put together in a way that dont seem like they come apart. Most of Fosgates Power line does if I remember right. Thats what all mine where
You think he would know something like that
Im still waiting for someone to test the APCL 3000.1 id love to see that on the dyno n im sure alot of others would too
I have the 4,000 watt one that i would send it too anyone willing to test it via dyno
Running this amp @ .67 and it's a beast.
This amp is actually 1 ohm stable? Please reply quick, i just found one for $100 and was debating whether i should buy dual 4 ohm or 2 ohm subs and wire it to 1 ohm
@@dropzonemedia7811 yes it is 1 ohm stable and I wouldn't recommend running it any lower.
I have this amp. Had it for about 4 years now. Running strong
I'm an older guy, but I still love a clean, hard hitting system, what amazes me is how much I payed for my first 300 watt bridgeable amp compared to sundowns sd2500.1 ,in comparison to the power of the 90's it's all pretty budget these days lol
Ok, so I was thinking Rockville DB15, then Skar rp2000, but now I know, this is the one!! Thanks for the reviews! 👍
Same here
The Rockville is nowhere close . Skip that step
Aaron Hoobler what where the amps wired to ?
Awesome video sir.. I knew the APCL series did very well now we know these do well too. Thanks for keeping us in the loop sir, another great video.
If youre thinking about it, buy it! I LOVE AP products! i stand buy their subs and amps over all. Best bang for buck subs
I just got bd4 had bd3 bd2 all bangers
i got one of those aluminum cone subs the 375w rms one since forever and still works, its solid
@@alekpo2000 audiopipe made metal cones?
@@StevenStGelais yeah the sub model is ts-pr12bl i just looked in the car XD its a big heavy metal monster XD
Hell my AP1500.1 16V is still working to this very day. When I saw BIG D do a amp test on one, even being shy or so of it's numbers. I still bought one the next day, great sir ✌️ out 😎
About time cause I just bought 2 more this morning and everyone talks down on my apmi amps thank you for this video
Can they be ran @.5 cause thats what ima be running them on for a week or two til I grab two more
well, your about to find out lol, just hope your box rise brings it up so you don't toastem if they can't lol.
I Hope so too cause Ive been bassless for a few weeks and cant wait to hear some bass
Have fun XD
Corrosion4803 Well I tried keep blowing fuses on my electrical gotta wait til I get my batteries and alts
Get them while you can.
and here i am still running 18 year old audiopipe 0 gauge wiring kit... it was a steal back then..
I have an Audiopipe and i call it the SLEDGEHAMMER!!! and doesn't even heat up
Man I noticed your testing the audiopipe apmi-2000 watt but now all thats being sold is the Audiopipe apmn-2000, any chance you've had any experience with this amp or do you think it would run similar rms ratings to the amp you tested? Sorry for asking but this would be the perfect amp to run my rockville 15" k9 but I noticed the models are one letter different so was just curious of your thoughts. Thanks bro awesome channel and your the cat audio man!!!
Its the same amp... just new name
dude I love these amp dyno videos, it's amazing what kind of budget amps you can get that put out some serious wattage
Should I buy a second one to strap, I'm switching to 2 18" with 2 ohm dvc?
Special EDy Turn it 40hz. 18’s love the lowend. I wouldn’t get 18’s peak watts no more than 2500 each. That way u set the crossover lower Hz.
I love the music during the DYNO test! (Great Job)
Thanks to you guys, can't find these anywhere for less than $250.
Paul Garant I'm sure they can they are just 2 1500s in one shell
How's the durability of this brand
Seen a Dyno they did very well, think it did around 33** and change at 2 ohm dynamic. Like most Audiopipe amps they need good clean power. I have used the APCL 1500 and 1800 Amos and have always had good experience..
The apcl 3k does rated power all day.
Good job keep up them low cost amps to test
Awesome channel like big D wiz this amp i passed up 41 times now time to purchase one Way to go Ryan👍👍
I've been pleased with my audiopipe apmi 2000 it's not a competition amp but love that they are strap able to double your power also I've never had a overheating issue it's deffinatly a best buy 4 the money and quality!!!
Huh, surprised as hell. Crazy. Keep em coming dude. Thanks again
Exactly like u were saying about the wires running along side of those mosfetts my amp went up in smoke this weekend. The wire to the far right melted thru along with a few of those heat sinks melted.
should tested it down @.05 see what it pushes or if it blows up
Ryan Blankenship I feel you bro thanks for the video though keep it up between you an bigdwiz you guys save us a lot of headaches
Ryan Blankenship my AP1500 has been tested at .5 and it did 2975 watts with no problem
Brian B .5 dynamic or .5 resistive ??
Ryan Blankenship I've got my apmi2000 at 0.5 for 6 months now
@@KnowName33 me too lol for 5 momths
the apcl 1500d is still a beast of the AP amps.
I would like to see your results on the 3000.
Can you test a DB Drive Mono Amp, very curious, nobody tests these amps on RUclips.
Jamie Varnado same thing I thinking, especially with the A7 line
Jamie Varnado Yea good idea!!
Would be nice to see.
db drive is overrated it's a video on here that's how I know. it's a bust.
I LOVE your ending comments just over 11minutes in / AWESOME! Great JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But i can say i had an audiopipe 1500 watt amp 2 years ago it didn’t last a month but i think i can be the one to blame i didn’t have proper electrical. It was probably clipping .. it sounded good while it lasted
Got this amp when it first came out and it’s still kicking. Love it
Were can I get this amp. It's not on the link anymore.
Damn just seen this but I got mine on eBay
Awesome man! Love your channel! Finding these buget gems is the shit! Already have two older ap1800.1's that I'm Gunna run strapped...may just have to pick up 2 of these...nice...very nice!
I owned and ran this amp..on 3 200 amp batteries this amp did what it said
Thank you for the video Ryan, it's really nice seeing this amps rated correctly and for the price of $167. sounds like a good deal. You know I do wonder how long it would last when powering a system for a long period of time.
I've had mine since 2015 and 2yrs of that time has been at 0.5 ohm and still going strong
Do you think it’s more powerful than the skar RP 2000 amp
I've had this amp for 3yrs so I can't wait to see what it does!
Well I've been waiting on someone to Dyno this amplifier for the last past 3 years
Ryan, what are your thoughts on its' efficiency? power vs amps pulled?
I bought mine as soon as I watched this video the first time best amp I ever bought sad they discontinued this amp….
This was extremely accurate in it's ratings . Crazy value for the money.
Thanks for the video man. Not a bad amp at all!!!! I've always wanted an audiopipe 3k. Everyone cracks on them and calls them audiopoop but I still want to own a 3k!!!
Very nice. People sleep on the audiopipe amplifiers. Been running apcl 1500s for awhile. Keep up the amazing work.
I purchased this amp becuz of this video... Thanx!!!!!!
me too
@@Dahopper214 Yo your shit slapping folk!!!!
priciated
I have this amp on 2 resilient sounds 15s and I love it my shit is loud
Just picked one up. Seems louder than my old aq 2200. Plan on getting a 2nd soon and strapping them
I have two of these.
Pipe has made some good stuff. Subs are quite good too.
Those red wire close to power supply transistor=fireworks some amps with that problem what happens is the transistor get so hot to the point of melting the wire into it make a solid contact and bummmm there goes the amp
Great to know. I'm thinking 500W RMS is plenty for my F-150 supercrew cab. Now I know I don't have to break the bank I double up on subs.
What is the longevity like? I am happy to hear it meets or exceeds the manufacturer claims. There is still hope in this world.
Nice test...what we need from you or big d is an all out budget amp battle...test all the amps like this in the price range and see what amps come out with the most power for the cheapest
These are no joke. There's someone local to me running 8 of these on 4 FI Team 15's doing 161's.. on less than $1300 in amps.
I like audio pipe, always thought of it as the generic m/a audio and audiobahn.
I always was blown away by the apcl 1500 . I love there subs and they have component speakers that give most a run for there money.
Impressive for the price! Longevity is my only concern
wow..i didn't expect it to run a pyramid blue spec run, but for an amp running electricity thru chinese-ium metals this blew me away! nice test run, man.. #bassheads4life
I have a couple of questions.
1. I'm confused why the amp does more wattage at a lower voltage (2100 @ 13.8 vs 1955 @14.2)
Still Steel got mines today pushin bd4s sounding 2020ish love Audiopipe
Forgive my ignorance but what is the difference between certified, uncertified, and dynamic? How does that equate to what I would experience in my car?
