Hey this video could probably have been two separate videos but it's been timestamped in the description and on the scrubber to be easy to come back to sorry I'll split it up next time there is such a large topic to go with the FTP catch-up!
In all honesty I love these longer form videos. It's nice to be able to get back from work and listen to what is essentially a Brozime Warframe podcast. But that's just me lol
I'd rather listen to a singular, long discussion of a topic than risk major takeaways getting obscured or warped by speaking about individual issues in separate videos.
TLDR: more long vids please. I'm quite happy with a longer video. If I don't have time for a hour-and-a-half video I'll finish it later. I look at it like it keeps clutter to a minimum and it keeps all the info in one place
Thank you!!! Been playing since day 1 and Fortuna is a headache, me and my boy were trying to run it for toroid farm and he said heyil no lol. It's bugged, it's boring, it's not rewarding to play, it's bugged, IT'S BUGGED. Waiting for npc's to set down aggro sticks is so annoying like wtf bro. They need to rework both Cetus and Fortuna to fit the feel of Deimos it's that simple.
The timegating in open world content just has to go. Had a friend try Warframe and they were STOKED to build their own custom weapon. But he had to arbitrarily wait to level up his standing first. By the time he even got close to getting a part he lost interest in the game. The content that's there is good, but the game's pacing is just terrible.
Limitations to how much you can do in a day are pretty common in MMOs and service games in general (leve quest allowances and beast tribe limits in FFXIV immediately come to mind) but it needs to be in service of encouraging a diversity of play to avoid burnout instead of punishing players with the feeling of "wasted" time for not doing their daily chores.
@@ngwoo sorry dude but warframe already has build times. The way warframe is structured time gates in missions is absurd Its effectively a 4 player coop game. Artifically locking content like that is just a waste of time. Honestly there is enough grind as there is having to go to each world and then just waiting weeks stacked up on resources is just absurd. There just isnt enough meaningful content
Honestly, at this point I'd be absolutely fine with DE just buffing standing gain (in Fortuna, Cetus AND Deimos) by just 10x and removing time gating. I'm a MR28 player who has just about anything I want from those areas and I'd be 100% down to just have the whole time gating part not be a thing for new players anymore. It makes sense while the open worlds are newly released and fresh content. DE has said multiple times that they want to keep timegating in place in order to keep players from burning themselves out on the game. At the same time, we're at a point where the Plains of Eidolon were released something like 4 or 5 years ago, are located (similarly to Fortuna) in one of the earliest planets you can find, and haven't seen any substantial content update in probably 2-3 years. PoE is just straight up complete as its own little content island that's fun to visit every now and again when you're maxed out. There's no reason to keep new players intentionally gated away from good and fun content, just for the sake of preventing them from burning out - they're new players, they have entirely different issues than "I played the same mission 10x over, make it stop". I'd honestly even be down for DE to implement a system where e.g. only the first 3 ranks aren't time gated, so you can speed run your way up to rank 3 in all the open world syndicates and grind like anyone else had to in the past for the last 2 levels of the "top of the shelf" stuff. There are so many potential solutions to the problems the open world face in terms of new player accessibility, and I'm 99% sure that almost the entire player base wouldn't even mind DE implementing something that benefitted joining the party late. Hell, for what it's worth, I'd even be fine if Deimos stays like it is, Fortuna gets a 5x reduction and Cetus a 10x. Just give the new players SOMETHING in the way of accessibility other than "we increased the standing gain cap across the board". That is just absolutely not enough, DE - a good step in the right direction, but still missing the entire problem.
Someone clip the arch wing launcher segment rant and send it to DE. I was like MR20 by the time PoE came out so I already had the materials to build it and the launchers which used to be a consumable gear slot item you had to keep building. That being said I still hate the fact that you have to jump through those ridiculous hoops just to gain access to literally THE most important thing you need to do open world stuff.
I'm an idiot, I had it crafted for ages but didn't know that you had to buy the last part for it until someone asked me why I didn't have it yet 😂 I thought it was gonna be a quest drop
The other point on Archwing Launcher at launch was that despite that they were consumable, they were CHEAP, and you could spawn them FOR ANYONE. You could literally drop one for someone that did not have the launcher.
Fastest way to rep grind in OW areas by our bro Brozime cetus: farm birds for rep. fortuna: P2P (pay to progress) with ticker Deimos: literally anything, just chill and have fun
It's not literally anything in Deimos, trying to get standing from anything other than Mother Tokens is incredibly inefficient. Not that I'm complaining, the bounty farm is quite nice.
Some additional tips: Cetus: If you have a mining tool, turn left and you'll find a cave with some enemies. 10 minutes-ish and you can exchange most of them for standings Deimos: Wait for the mining endless mission by mother. Every other method is slow, so be prepared to take it slow and enjoy the process.
@@0netwoguy54 Either endless mining has been nerfed or it's the worst tip I'm gettinng. I've decided to give it a go and check out if it 's faster than doing normal bounties. So every stage has 3 excavations and it takes around 15-20min per stage (energy cells weren't spawning fast enough). In the beginning we get 18 tokens per excavation. that's 54 for 15-20 mins. And yeah, sure it goes up by 3 per excavation for every stage completed. but I get 160 tokens for like 10 min on the highest bounty. That's 3 HOURS of endless farming to start coming close in terms of speed of doing it the normal way. Oh and the best part: you don't even get cryotic.
Plains of Eidolon access should be MR locked. The amount of new players I see that are literally three nodes into the game and go into the plains (because nothing says they can't) wasting their time just wandering around the plains, dying, self resing using affinity and credits... it is just too much. Also yes, the Archwing segment and luncher is a pain as a new player. I got mine as a low, low MR player, farming Oxium on a defense mission on venus getting 8-10 oxium per round. I did not knew better and of course with no guidance I started farming for the segment instead of making progress in my quests or star chart. This is a big trap and it should be fixed. This is the kind of thing that just confuses the new player and makes them quit. I'm just lucky I was learning the game with friends so I didn't get overwhelm by the grindfest.
The problem with locking the players out of the plains is the fact that the plains is also the thing that hook new players into warframe. What I would suggest is to have separate queue and enemy level base on mr level so that new player don't get immediately overwhelmed by the insane enemy level and players just straight up finish the mission before they could reach it.
@@acidgolem2132 my first experience with the plains was going at night, seeing enemy levels that oneshot me, and leaving. clears the node but definitely made me think "ah, come back later then"
just a heads up, they are technically outside of the first 3. MR 5 is obviously very low and DE physically wont even let you build the archwing segment until then. But again, that's more the issue of archwing being gated, rather than the plains not being gated.
Bruh you drop like 80 bucks on prime access for an insane deal on the plat alone AND it comes with like 2 month boosters. Plus you could just farm prime parts and sell it as junk/sets and then buy boosters for free. No reason you can’t get boosters.
@@chippler5822 chances are if you don’t have 80 to dispose on a game then you probably are to busy to even play the game in the first place. Video game’s themselves are expendable luxuries, so if you have time/money to buy video games and a console then I don’t see how you can’t save up 80 bucks for a prime access. Literally save like 10 dollars a week and you have enough in 2 months.
@@1LuckySavage not every person can afford to save 10 dollars a week dude, I never said I couldn't right now, I was homeless as a kid not everyone has 10 dollars a week to take off their paycheck
The standing limits in the open world are the exact reason why my friends don't play anymore. The grind has scared off sooo many friends too. It's also weird from a progression sense that we get K drives on the later planet, the inferior vehicle. Thankfully archwing aren't single use things now.... Thank the MIGHTY SEER for that
Archwings used to be single use??? Christ, that sounds deathly horrible. Thank God I didn't first start at the time, I would have dropped warframe QUICKLY. Especially when I think back and remember how annoying it was just getting the ingredients for the archwing, on top of not even knowing where to get them for a LONG time. If I had realised, that all that exasperating work only afforded me ONE use of this archwing?? Yeah, that would have been an 'uninstall and never look back'.
@@prophetmegatron no mate, the item to depoly the archwing was a single use, and it was crafted on a set 10 echt time, is still very cheap for that reason and they didnt update the cost.. you carfted hundred of deployers, like energy and shield bateries consumable, item, the cost was almost nothing the archwing as equipament were/are permanent
@@prophetmegatron I didn't word things the best. You would craft them in bunches like energy restore things. Use them and have to craft more, it was very very annoying
This made me realize how good deimos grind actually is. It's the first OW syndicate I reached max rank at and I realized why. The token system is phenomenal. DE figured out the best rep system on their 3rd outing. Hope it makes it into the other 2 sometime.after TNW
I remember there was no cap on cetus or fortuna (can't remember) and DE was upset that ppl rushed standing in 1 week and complaining there is nothing else to do. So now I have to suffer in Fortuna and I'am MR 24 and I'am doing it because I want some rewards like frames and stuff.
i remember my necramech grind took almost a week. was so fucking happy when i got it, then i realised any dick and harry can pay a small amount of money for it. still worth the grind :)
Man fuck the tokens I liked how cetus was where I could fish max it then Fortuna was hunt to max it was fine before all the nerfs to both cetus and Fortuna rep gain then I get to damos the planet is hostile to my sanity mod layout and eyes everything I do only rewards me if I also do 2 other random things instead of just having fun with what I want to do at that time but I am punished for it instead of being viable have 100 standing per token go play other things nerd
Yup and orb vallas is by far the worst. Horrible fucking rank up requirements, never drops the common resource you need (debt bonds). And then there’s the ducky farm.
@@Gavert3 fortuna makes me cry. Animal conservation is so slow until you get max rank and unlock the good tools, but everything else is even slower. Not to mention just how much standing you need as well as the offerings. I just want gauss and baruuk. Why must I suffer?
Fortuna rep is THE ONE grind I hate the most in the whole damn game. It is so soul-crushingly boring, it made me take a break from the game - SEVERAL TIMES. There's no good way to get rep in a timely manner, yet by the time you reach the cap for your rank you'll likely still miss a good chunk of the debt-bonds you need to rank up. And the main reward for all this ? The privilege to start farming Profit-Taker for Vox Solaris... Oh my ! I was so burnt out that I only came back to the game a couple months ago to finally try Deimos and the changes to Railjack. I was very afraid when I learnt the Helminth system was locked behind Enthrati standing, but I've been pleasantly surprised to actually somewhat enjoy my time on Deimos. And you can get so much good stuff there (acolyte mods, woo !). I really hope they'll go back and update the old open worlds to this new token system.
I for one love theses kind of long-form in-depth breakdowns. Keep 'em coming, please. I have been playing since The War Within was released and I still learn something new every time I watch something like this, even after thousands of hours of playing.
Agreed. These long form videos where someone talks at length about a subject is satisfying. At a minimum, it's good background noise while you're working.
The Fortuna grind was the straw that finally broke the camel's back for me. I started to realize how little fun I was having with Warframe, and how I would just log in, grab my rewards, then log off. It's unfortunate too, because the infested are my favorite faction, Nidus my main warframe, and Deimos looks actually pretty fun. But I know if I ever came back, a lot of the problems I had with the game then still have yet to be addressed. Glad to see your FTPlaythrough going well though!
I’m trying to play through again, and while the main Deimos grind is fine, the grind for Necramechs is incredibly frustrating. They even provided free blueprints because they recognized that most people wouldn’t wanna go through that grind, but you still have to farm the parts to craft it, and you still have to go through the whole farm eventually because that’s how you get Necramech mods. I really used to enjoy this game, but it feels more and more designed to just get you to pay each patch.
After hitting MR30, I've moved away from Warframe and been getting into FF14, but I'll always watch these because Brozime's the only warframe creator that cares enough to put this much effort into wanting to improve the game.
FF is great but i played all of that franchise in the 90s and 2000s when it was in its prime and it was SQUARESOFT. The mmo is aight played it a bit back when i was in my 20s i think almost 10 years ago actually.
I think you're sleeping on a much easier and more profitable simaris rep farm. Instead of bothering with Ivara and actual missions that you have to run over and over again, you can simply go to the Plains and scan enemies there. If you have an archwing, just fly up 100m and keep going back and forth between any two camps. I usually do the geyser left of the start and the mining camp behind that. Every time you fly away from them the enemies despawn, and when you come back new enemies will spawn again. So you can just infinitely pop between any two places and scan all the enemies and turrets for ~200 rep each (more if you have access to steel path). If you get spotted and enemies start shooting at you and you get 50 rep per scan, just zip over to the other camp and everything will be forgotten. In Steel Path this method takes like 3-8 minutes to cap out as max MR, and you can just leave when you're done. Don't have to complete any missions. I will say it does take some getting used to "sniping" the tiny people walking around so they don't spot you, and you seeing them in the first place, but you get the hang of it.
Oh, Cool Advice I'd recommend Octavia for this (or another frame that buffs multishot) if you can get her buffs relatively easy, as all buffs are helpful here. Speed applies to archwing much like wisps or volts, Stealth for obvs reasons, Multishot actually decreases the time needed to scan with the synthesis scanner. I've been taking her to end-starchart spies whenever I can be bothered to keep up w the game (: edit- to be clear I've only tested this with Octavia, but the buff affecting it is multishot. Might need to do a test with Mirage to confirm but those are the only two I can think of who buff multi.
Also much nicer to do this at night, the enemies have a lower detection rate, and the camps spawn the eidolon lures can also be scanned for standing. Takes me about 4 minutes for 23000 standing, and no particular frame necessary.
Dear god yes, farming debt bonds is just a pain. Just yesterday I needed like 1 more medical to rank up from what I bought from ticker so I figured I'd just quickly do the bounty for it. It took me 3 full runs, just to get 2 of those bloody things.
2:47 That's actually incorrect. The "Drop Chance" isn't "chance for enemies to drop an energy orb, on kill", rather it is "the (multiplicatively)increased chance upon enemies' inherent chance to drop an energy orb, on kill". e.g. If an enemy has an inherent 5% chance to drop an energy orb, and they are killed by a Pull with 200% Strength, it now has a 7.5% chance to drop an energy orb, not a 55% chance to drop an energy orb. Anyone can prove me right by testing a Pull with 400% Strength. And the worst part is that the "(multiplicatively)increased chance upon enemies' inherent chance to drop an energy orb, on kill" effect that I described, might just be some weird placebo effect, because from all the testing I've done with as much power strength I could muster, I didn't even notice an increase in energy orbs.
I feel like they’d be able to fix several of Fortuna’s issues by simply reducing the size of the Vallis, most of the area around the edges is just a huge amount of empty space after all... With that, they MIGHT be able to start spawning animals naturally, mining nodes would be more concentrated, etc. As for rep, just make each bounty give 4-5 of its respective token type per stage, now its roughly even with rewards that Deimos has.
The animals in the Orb Vallis don't spawn naturally not because the map is big (they can just limit spawns and limit the range at which they spawn away from the player if that was the problem), but because they are endangered species in-lore, so they must be specifically lured out of hiding. But I do agree with the mining point, though going to the old Solaris U cave was usually good enough to satisfy my needs with mining.
@@candy-ass4915 I have caught all my animals in vallis, in the wild. Never through direct track and hunt, mostly cause I am not usually looking to hunt in vallis, I am mining, and through mining I generally finish in a place where I'm satisfied with my animal haul, and don't bother hunting futher.
I literally didn't have an archwing launcher for weeks after I finished the archw quest because I assumed that it was going to be a reward for the end of another quest that didn't exist lol. Of course the game doesn't tell you that you need to buy it either. That would be too straight forward and explanatory
can confirm, as a newer player oxium was my first actual hatred in this game. super great super helpful video, thank you so much. it really just reaffirmed my feelings on each open world map, PoE doable. has its ups and downs. fortuna.. and deimos which i havent spent much time doing but intend to shred through that place and this video gave a lot of great tips and ideas of how to go about getting that done so again thank you so much, i really benefited from this type of review!
I farmed a lot of thermia when the even first dropped, before they introduced the nullifier burps. I've resigned myself to the fact I'll never be able to do Exploiter Orb again once I run out of thermia.
Thank you for the update ☺️ I really appreciate hearing the breakdowns of farming efficiency, I never considered using zephyr’s rework to scoop up resources. The Ivara hunting farm was also news to me, I assumed only the tranq gun worked.
Your passion and love and respect for the community, the game, and DE really shines in every video you put out. It's so relaxing just listening to you give out very good information for not only new players but those of us that are veterans but have taken a rather long break away from the game. Youu are the only content creator that I watch be entertained and brought up to speed on what's going on in Warframe. Basically just thank you for all that you do and you're awesome. Keep it up
With around 2400hrs played when Fortuna came out I quit, the first week of release, because I couldnt take another slog of an open world rep grind. Mostly because DE cant seem to figure out how to make them fun and reasonable. They always take way to long and take way to many materials to reach max rep. With Fortuna all the rep grinds are akin to torture and I had/have better things to do. Edit: After watching the full video, It seems DE made the rep grinds way more enjoyable and acceptable with Deimos and even made it to where you dont have to do the boring fishing for fish parts
In regards to the fish on Deimos, they are everywhere now including at eye level with your frame. They made fishing much easier. Much easier than hunting.
Having gone through the Fortuna debt bond grind recently, you are absolutely correct. Medical debt bonds is a soul crushing grind. I was checking Ticker every hour and endlessly running the third bounty and it took me over a month.
i'm very glad that free to playthroughs have put in perspective how vomit-inducing things like the rep grind, oxium farming, and doing open worlds without an archwing is, as it feels like many people who can't remember being low on those things just go "lol this is pennies to me" especially for oxium, the last thing almost any new player i've met wants to do is stop all the fun they're having and go sit in a defense mission for 30 waves, especially a not particularly interesting at all defense mission, and the thought of "well, to progress in the way i want to, i've got to do that first" is the reason a lot of people don't log in again, i feel

Mag' shield gains from crush gives shields to objectives like excavators too, so you can use a range mag as a good excavation farming frame for quite a while. I use her for them on steel path if they need panic shield and you don't have anything else to really protect it.
Doing my own f2p run on switch, just got to the cetus wisp farm for my 111 amp (i want quills rep to get revenant because im trying to use frames i wouldnt normally use on pc) and somehow after how ever many years the wisp farm is still trash.
i was getting 60-80 per night wo boosters back in the day, i honestly dont think its that bad, only thing you need is loot radar and a fast aw (or anything as fast as a fast aw)
I hope you got some grind done during Plague Star. I got 50+ wisps from the bounties alone and they only cost 750 standing from Nakak. Best event for farming Forma & Wisps. If you can get your fill of wisps from the event, you just need to build a good tier 3 amp and get to Quills rank 5. After that, you can forget about farming them, since Onkko sells one for 2000 standing.
im late but its INCREDIBLY soothing to hear someone experienced (i have over 1000 hours but am only mr 14 because i spend most of my time going "oh that looks cool" and taking paths of least resistance lol) echo my thoughts on this stuff. so much content is unavailable to me because i cannot bring myself to do fortuna at all, which sucks because its so COOL
I'm MR 27 and I found this video to be extremely helpful. The thing about Zephyr's new 2? Didn't know it sucked up resources. That alone (for me) made this video hella great. I would love more discussion based vids of longer length just to pick your brain on these more nitty-gritty topics. Def wouldn't mind more, tyty. 👍👍
DE: We are listening. we are making all the open world bounties have simialar rep grinds. Everything will now be comparable to fortuna's rep grind. Have a nice day.
that debt-bond grind was right in everyone's face during the valentine's day event. grinding out those bonds for rewards kind of killed a lot of people's souls.
They fixed a lot of the issues with open worlds with Deimos. Hopefully at some point they could go back and improve the previous open worlds in the same manner.
Great content. You need to do vids like this with you quickly explaining things, even for a moderate player like myself is stellar. I could put so much quick Farm and required materials info i had to bring it back mid vid. Kudos to you
I used the Kuva Simaris grind to farm Pago (Spy) for Ivara BPs back in the day. Always fun to combine farms, it's a chill time walking through with Loki going beep boop and just leaving.
Thankfully, a little longer than a year later from this video, the creatures on the Valis are now permanently spawning, so there is no longer that problem.
You are absolutely correct about the standing grind. Deimos is the best, fastest, and most rewarding. Plains is in between but mostly due to the fact that animals will wander out in the open making them easier to nab for standing. Orb Vallis is just... Oh man. It's massive so missions are spread out even moreso than Plains. Animals don't spawn out in the open and only spawn when tracking is initiated. The debt bond system is terrible and RNG laced. It easily has the worst grind of the three which is a shame because I absolutely love the aesthetic of the Vallis.
Oh, I completely agree with the review of Fortuna. After I got to Rank 5 with SU and just stopped as the grind was just awful. I still have PTSD over getting the debt bonds for rank ups. The thermia event I completed on the 2nd time time it showed up. My thoughts on that were "If i don't do this now, there aint no-one going to be doing this later", turns out that was a correct instinct. Hunting on Fortuna was just terrible, due to the bugs, where you'd try to track an animal, but the tracks just stopped, or the carcass didn't show up, or the animal didn't show up, it felt like a colossal waste of my time, mining was a faster rep gain. Fortuna just was a huge map, that was devoid of life, except when you were trying to fish or mine, then every enemy on the map just wanted to hunt your ass like a 9 point buck. From watching the FTP-through archives our enthusiasm/enjoyment level just went from a 200 to a -10 when you started the Fortuna rep grind. Completely agree that the debt bonds need looked at, as just hanging about wafting for Ticker to , maybe, feel like selling some relevant shit to your ranks up, feels like again a waste of my time Demios was a massive step in the right direction, and the Plains rework pass was bunch of good changes. Fortuna needs another pass to bring it in line with the other 2 open worlds areas. Maybe split it up into 2 vids next time, but overall, liked the content very much. Thanks :)
55:38 As of February 9th, there is now 'free-hunting' in Fortuna! I can't quite judge how good or bad it is compared to the other open-worlds but, it exists!
I think the one reason for new player to farm Fortuna would be the Tombfinger and Splat. Throw those on the Palmaris from Deimos, and you have something that keep pace with the Kuva Zarr for kps, and still focus damage well without the Rubico Prime
I'm not "new", but as somebody who used to play the game from time to time, open world grind was the main reason why I eventually stopped playing. A lot of new content was tied to open worlds, and I just didn't have enough time to grind through everything to be able to finally play with a friend who was way ahead of me.
I'm a long term player who's come back to the game after a 2-3 year hiatus , and this was genuinely very helpful. Hopefully I'll be able to streamline some of the more tedious grinds in the game that are currently gating my progression.
Being a relatively new player to this game (joined this year) I would really like to say that I hate open worlds, mostly because of the standing system, why limit the amount one can get per day? It took me five days to level up until the point I can get the helminth system, and there’s sooo many cool things that’s locked behind standings, yet DE is like… well there’s all that but you only get 22k standing per day. Why, just, why? I’m probably not even gonna touch Deimos once I got the helminth system running, seriously, these open worlds are the worst part of the game By the time I got to doing open world I already had a pretty decent pile of mats to build the arch wing part Also I HATE that hunting, fishing and mining are forced to rank up standings
Ironically, Profit Taker drops all the high level bonds you need to reach him, while not dropping the other bonds needed to do actual things like gild kitguns and moas. These bonds are therefore only useful for standing gain. This makes Profit Taker the fastest way to reach rank 5 - too bad he isn't taxi'able at all prior to rank 5. Thermia farming is as awful as mentioned, and toroid farming wasn't expounded on but that's bad too. Fortuna is the WORST, and it doesn't ever relent at being the worst. Kitguns and Archgun are good, but just ignore them and rank deimos to get the seriglass weapons, cedo and voidrig.
didn't think to like the video until brozime goes on a two minute 'fuck' and 'dog shit' filled tirade about how absolutely terrible the archwing launcher issue is +1
Nice vid BZ; side note- farming Simaris is ez plat. Ivara does change the game, run Ivara and do a syndicate alert mission WHILE scanning enemies for simaris. Do stealth kills for daily rep affinity. You gain daily rep, simaris rep, syndicate medallions and possible 60/60 mods (if spy) all in 1 mission run. Plus; Cetus grind you can sell exodia arcanes max rank for 100p, buy 10 arcanes for 100k rep.
"Rhino: He's a crowbar, you can apply him to anything" I really love that as someone who played him from open beta week right up until he was finally replaced by Grendel my beloved meatball
I remember the Thermia Fractures being the first defense that really took the Defense Frames for a spin Limbo was getting shot through his Rift and enemies were seemingly shooting through Frost's bubbles and Gara's shield thing (apparently, the devs decided to give some enemies punchthrough without telling anyone). I did do it enough times so that I could have all the stuff I needed from the event, but it was not fun
visiting the open world levels early is rough. people with wings leave you in the dust all the time. it's not too bad on the plains because you might be able to snag a dargyn to fly around on. an option for someone with wings to offer themselves to pick up and carry someone might be nice, or maybe a hackable big raptor osprey on vallis to ride and rideable flying infested creature on cambion(rather than the current k-drive creatures who barely offer much speed vs bullet jumping and rolling). frames who have movement gimmicks like vauban's boost pads, titanias fairy form, nova's portals, zephyr's floatiness and tailwind, might help slightly but early in the game i found myself prioritizing modding for sturdiness rather than abilities and mobility.
If you are willing to stomach the archwing launcher, getting the amesha from a dojo makes Conservation super easy. The slow affects the hunting targets basically guaranteeing perfect captures. The 4th ability gives it infinite energy. Fly along the edge of the Plains towards the east with your hunting rifle. Look for condrocs. Easy 30k standing in 10-12 minutes with practice. You don't even need to eject from your archwing, just turn off the slow after you tranq them. Just basically do the rep farm shown at 43:36 Ivara is totally not needed.
my time ALONE in fortuna was my entire week after i started warframe on a new account. I love the aesthetic, i love vox solaris, and i love kitguns. Although, just sheer grind alone, and ticker scams for bonds, is so agonizing. Most of my time in Fortuna was just repeating the same bounties over and over. I got my standing alone just because of bonds, which fucking suck. This needs to change, considering these medical bonds do not feel common ESPECIALLY WHEN I GET MECHA RECHARGE 3 TIMES OVER BEFORE I GET A DEBT BOND. Lord, Plains and Deimos was a refresher when i started to go through them again. Didn't max out any of them, and i'd rather max out the most annoying faction out of all of them, so wish me luck.
If you're getting Ivara as a new player, it's worth the 15 plat to get the infiltrate augment for Ivara. It makes missions way faster since you move faster and you can also ignore basically everything in spy missions between you and the terminals
After watching a few of your FTPthrough videos I really can wait for your next tierlist video I feel like you have a new appreciation for some of the older frames like rhino and mag after this play through just really interested to see the difference between this coming and the last
I remember doing the Archwing launching segment out of the blue cause I saw somebody flying around, and thought, man I should grind that. Glad I got that out of the way when I was still a lower than MR10. Once I really got into the open worlds, it just felt natural to be flying all over, but all my Oxium went that way
Not sure if this was said before, but for Fortuna, I've always found the best rep farm before Kubrodon hunting was Orokin fish farming. Spending a bit for bait sucks at first, but the return is pretty decent and it allows you to build up a bank like with Debt-bonds. You also get the benefit of resource boosters affecting fish, and Corpus rarely bother you fishing unlike with hunting (as long as you're in a cave).
My friends were really excited about Warframe when I showed them the gameplay of Eidolon hunt, Profit-taker hunt, open-world stuff, railjack, etc. But once they got in the game (even with my help) they've lost interest quite early on. The grind before you get to cool stuff are so brutal like you showed in the video. Hope DE team watch this video.
Old as hell video I know but, regarding the part where you mentioned you wish you could select a more discernible color for when you're searching for conservation targets, you can! Well, it's more of a work around. Go into the accessibility settings and toggle on enemy highlights, set the color to the neon green one in the accessibility palette (or any preferred color that doesn't blend into any environment, I recommend neon green) and crank that slider to the maximum. You will never struggle to see enemies or animals while flying around ever again, you don't even need to aim the rifle anymore they'll just be a very obvious set of green pixels on your screen.
Looking at this as someone who just maxed Sol U, the only thing that's changed is the animals can KINDA, (AND I MEAN KINDA), farm animals by equipping the archwing and running along the edge of the map and farming the animals that pop up. I didn't know about the sleep trick so those armadillo ones are absolutely the most tedious tranq hunts I've done.
I haven't played warframe in something like two years or however long ago it was the Deimos came out, but watching this reminds me why I stopped playing. Open world just felt bad for the most part, and at the time a lot of the best stuff was gated behind it. I would love to get back into WF, but idk if I wanna go thru the open world grinds, just feels opposite of what I enjoyed from WF for the most part (tho i did enjoy deimos compared to the other two)
An extremely fun thing to do is get a redeemer prime on zephyr because you can snipe people with Jet Stream falloff and you can instakill every single thing in the tornados (and it produces the most gamefeel noise on the planet)
Man I can't believe you were lucky enough to not only get any debt-bond purchases from Ticker that weren't Training/Shelter, but TWO different ones. I don't think I've ever seen him sell Familial. And I'm not even new, I just want to rank up to get the MOA weapons that are FOR SOME UNGODLY REASON not attached to the MOA heads, like every other robotic pet... I literally hate Fortuna *so* much as an almost MR29 player, just wanting to finish off some of those MR bits that I've missed.
The most obnoxious thing for me is Deimos bounties in a squad. Unless everyone is actually concentrating on the goal and knows what to do, you're always going to fail. The 'Control Area' and 'Grenier Team' missions are so broken with multiple players. Enemies don't spawn fast enough to keep the control level up as it drops nearly 5% every second with a group of 3, so you'll never win. And with the Grenier squad, they get 3% per kill on enemies that spawn directly on them while you only get 1% per kill in a group of 3, so you all have to be on top of your shit or you lose fast. It makes doing the higher level bounties for the 120-150 mother tokens such a nightmare for multiplayer so I just solo them, which is way less fun.
My biggest problem is stress, I can't deal with stress very well so the mini levelling games are things I fail on again and again. Normal gameplay no problem, but as soon as a clock pops up or if a "fail and I have to wait 24 hours" thing pops up then I will fail.
There's ways to cheese pretty much every MR test, check the wiki. The only one I failed was the MR30 test, so don't worry too much. Still I think the MR tests having that 24 hour delay is incredibly bad and it did bum me out a lot when I failed it xd
@@candy-ass4915 made me actually think about what I was doing when I failed the MR19 test the first time. got spotted across the map, so I had to theory craft a good LO, so naturally I looked it up on YT that wisp bodies that test and got it promptly the next day. p cool.
simaris rep farming can be done in adaro, you also get cap in 1 run (im sure brozime knows but its good to know that you can do it somewhere else incase you havent unlocked the kuva fortress for whatever reason)
Id say for new players start with mag, clean all the nodes on mercury or earth and go for nightmare missions to get the nightmare mods, and there you go a mag that can handle all content even late game. The typical way tho is to go farm rhino and then rhino all the way till later game, just using its iron skin is really easy for newbs to play with. Meanwhile buy all the mk1 weapons, level them and delete after rank 30 , then buy all the other market weapons and level them to speed up mastery, you get good weapons around mastery 8 /9 with dojo weapons etc.. After that or meanwhile also open the way to void and sedna so you can level up frames/weapons on hydron and grab argons on void. Also work on the main questline, check them on wiki to skip the secondaries and unlock the content. Plains bounties are also great for the basic mods you need like intensify etc... and the ghouls event gives you the hunter munitions, can also get vigilant supplies on bounties, etc... altho I hate the plains its a decent place to stay for early levels, also raise the reputation there to get a good operator amp and your set for most game. If you have a friend with a farming frame like nekros or khora Id say take your newb to ophelia in neptune and farm there for 20-40 minutes, youll get condition overload with luck and most of the mods like intensify serration etc... some telurium for your archwings and overlal lots of useful materials for newbs.
Vulkar Wraith is a tradeable weapon among players. in my opinion, players should be pointed at IO on Jupiter by "a random corpus" guy in Cetus while also mentioning Zephyr. In my experience, once you have a decent amount of duration and efficiency you can just use zephyr instead of the archwing and zephyr's abilities are useful for every bounty in all three "open worlds". Volt, Guass, Nezha, Rhino, and Nova are slower/less efficient options. Fun, but don't get around as well. Also, you "can" just load into the Orb Vallis and there are containers around the building that range in materials and "refresh" after a duration of time after being "far enough" from the area, great way to get some low/mid materials fast.
I rarely like a video, but as soon as you said Fortuna leveling sucks, I knew what I had to do. I have avoided that trash place as much as possible, but now that I want a good amp, I have to level Fortuna up.
covered most of the good stuff, but one thing that didn't come up even though it was on screen most of the video, deimos is where you get vulaphylas super easy. I was blown away that by the time my rhino finished building on a new account, I could already have access to arguably the best companion in the game. (and certainly more useful for how much effort goes into getting it compared to smeeta or even niche use case companions like botany boi)
Lmao about the archwing launcher segment, remember when it used to have limited charges? I'm pretty sure it used to give you only 50 charges for it for every time you crafted it with the same resource cost it has now.
1st stage and out is how I got the familial bonds. Didn't even know I could leave after the 1st stage until I watched the recent FTP streams. Over 1000hrs in and I didn't know that haha
Mostly unrelated to the video, but the bad luck getting the 60/60 heat mods reminded me of my plague when I was first starting out. I reached MR fucking 6 before I eventually just went out and bought a fucking Hornet Strike. Yes, I got to MR6 without a Hornet Strike ever dropping for me.
cheers. been super helpful coming back this winter and having your ftplay for 3 years of effieicent building and progress catch up i needed ot follow and all the good investment and route and farm plans for me now. helps that i cna just burn 10 years of stored plat lol man im loving it but i just wanna make my ivara prime, zeph prime, nezha prime, rhino prime, and maybe saryn prime into picture perfect forma builds. coudl be nice hah
A new player with no mods, no endo, no credits in their first month of playing isn’t going to be able to use mag’s abilities frequently so recommending her over excaliber or volt seems like setting a new player up for a bad experience.
Great vid....one of the better ones for sure. I never use lures. Only on the last/harder one that really never roams. Just use do a 360 scope on your trans rifle. If there's any around...they'll glow and the scope will beep. Easy peasy.
Just for giggles, I got a thermia canister and tried one fissure.. holy moly, I forgot it took something like 5 minutes for one fissure. I remember why I had stopped playing right after the first thermia event.. when I came back I had forgotten I even got to rank 5 in fortuna. Lol
Easier way i think to farm Fortuna standing. Use your Tokens to free Solaris Prisoners during Missions. Additionally, if you go heavily Sisters of Larvos Farming you can turn the hounds into Legs to get Standing. Just take them into Sanctuary Onslaught to level them up. Especially easy if you got affinity boosters going.
Per your comment about Exploiter/thermia farming being unplayable, I absolutely agree. I play 100% solo, always have, and the ONLY content I've not completed is Exploiter. Shouldn't even say completed; I've never even seen the Exploiter Orb, and it's all because the Thermia grind was so mind-numbingly boring. Tridolons solo? Yep. Iso vaults? yep. All of Steel Path? Yep. Hour+ arb survivals? Yep. Even have a maxed Railjack with all the best parts, and got most of it before the current system was in place (so no AI crew) Yet as tedious as those things can be solo, they were at least bearable or had some rewards that made it worth while, like eidolons when arcane energize and grace were worth thousands of plat, etc. Had the current shield-gating been in the game when Exploiter released, maybe I'd have found a way to grind for Hildryn, but at the time it was a "meh" frame that I couldn't care less about. Even then, it's not hard to farm a few hundred plat to just buy it from the market... which is exactly what I did when Helminth was released.
You're the only one that didn't remove my comments about Warframe being owned by tencent games the other channels removed instantly why is truth so scary nowadays
@@MrShnazer Then suck up the grind and get it done with. He has access to a perfectly viable frame which does all the work of an archwing and is actually pretty good to boot. I get that he’s showing off all the entry-level barriers, but not even pointing out that the very frame he was using is a direct workaround to that grind is a disservice to new players, as well.
@@Brozime I get that you, personally, dislike the clan system, but it exists and Zephyr is perfectly accessible through there. Similarly, you just went in on corrupted mod farming a bit ago. Overextended, stretch, continuity, and/or narrow minded. That’s all they “need” to get her to function. It sounds to me like it’s accessible, just not obviously so like Plains would be when you open up the star chart.
@@bob513993 You need to have the dragon keys, as well as the mats to make them which means void relics. Zephyr and the corrupted mods are simply not as accessible comparatively. You're not considering the investment that is involved, the time that is required to set it up etc etc. It is easy to look back and say "well this is easy and accessible", but not for a new player. They start off with nothing, which significantly changes things.
If you have your starter, Rhino, Mesa, Gara/Frost, and Loki/Ivara you’re pretty much covered for every aspect of the game in terms of warframes. They really should give the other frames content areas that they shine in.
I think its worth noting that pobbers are the best hunt until you get to kubrodons. Since they always come in packs of 3 the least you get (from perfect captures) is 1200 per hunt, and it can rise up to 2400.
If you are using fleeting expertise and streamline together on a build you should consider using a not maxed out fleeting expertise since efficency caps Out at 175%.
I'm super late to this video but I've been playing warframe since in came out on ps4 but I stopped when POE came out. I just started back up last month and the main thing that really overwhelmed me was the open worlds! I really hope after duviri DE really goes back and fixes some systems for old stuff.
Just clicked this video, i really hope you mention the ridiculous size of the PoE control bounty. For starters, it's nearly impossible to beat without getting to 50%
Hey this video could probably have been two separate videos but it's been timestamped in the description and on the scrubber to be easy to come back to sorry I'll split it up next time there is such a large topic to go with the FTP catch-up!
I hope the devs take the time to see your videos dude. You explain these things so well
The timegating in open world content just has to go. Had a friend try Warframe and they were STOKED to build their own custom weapon. But he had to arbitrarily wait to level up his standing first. By the time he even got close to getting a part he lost interest in the game. The content that's there is good, but the game's pacing is just terrible.
I agree completely. There also needs to be some kind of catchup mechanics for older content and reputation grinds like Cetus and Fortuna.
The way warframe is structured time gates in missions is absurd
Its effectively a 4 player coop game.
Artifically locking content like that is just a waste of time.
Honestly there is enough grind as there is having to go to each world and then just waiting weeks stacked up on resources is just absurd.
There just isnt enough meaningful content
The fat ass who is not steve said they want players to grind it, DE doesn't want players to complete the content immediately. Thats why they did that.
If it was important enough to nerf Itzal, it's important enough to be accessible.
The other point on Archwing Launcher at launch was that despite that they were consumable, they were CHEAP, and you could spawn them FOR ANYONE. You could literally drop one for someone that did not have the launcher.
@@edwardnygma8533 I miss zippy archwings so fucking much dude you have no idea. Fucking stupid nerf.
@@Supadrumma441 Easily the worst nerf I've seen in a while
Fastest way to rep grind in OW areas by our bro Brozime
cetus: farm birds for rep.
fortuna: P2P (pay to progress) with ticker
Deimos: literally anything, just chill and have fun
It's not literally anything in Deimos, trying to get standing from anything other than Mother Tokens is incredibly inefficient. Not that I'm complaining, the bounty farm is quite nice.
Some additional tips:
Cetus: If you have a mining tool, turn left and you'll find a cave with some enemies. 10 minutes-ish and you can exchange most of them for standings
Deimos: Wait for the mining endless mission by mother. Every other method is slow, so be prepared to take it slow and enjoy the process.
Fortuna mining and Cetus fishing are incredibly efficient while Deimos is entirely about the bounties
@@candy-ass4915 honestly Son Tokens being 500 a pop isn't half bad either.
@@acidgolem2132
They shouldnt be let into Eidolon Capture missions either.
Thats exacrlt what happened to me when I started, 3 years ago. I wasted so much time in there aimless.
Kinda feels like DE’s statistics team are only looking into players with resource and credit boosters sometimes
It’s a free game they gotta make money somehow lol
Bruh you drop like 80 bucks on prime access for an insane deal on the plat alone AND it comes with like 2 month boosters. Plus you could just farm prime parts and sell it as junk/sets and then buy boosters for free. No reason you can’t get boosters.
@@1LuckySavage crazy idea not everyone has a disposable income in every part of the world

Thank the MIGHTY SEER for that
k drives should be ALOT faster thant they are, and maybe we should get more caves that we can use them
Archwings used to be single use??? Christ, that sounds deathly horrible. Thank God I didn't first start at the time, I would have dropped warframe QUICKLY.
Especially when I think back and remember how annoying it was just getting the ingredients for the archwing, on top of not even knowing where to get them for a LONG time.
If I had realised, that all that exasperating work only afforded me ONE use of this archwing?? Yeah, that would have been an 'uninstall and never look back'.

The funniest thing is what Fortuna is the fastest to farm with hunting IF you maxed out Fortuna and have lures
Rich get richer
The Fortuna grind was the straw that finally broke the camel's back for me. I started to realize how little fun I was having with Warframe, and how I would just log in, grab my rewards, then log off. It's unfortunate too, because the infested are my favorite faction, Nidus my main warframe, and Deimos looks actually pretty fun. But I know if I ever came back, a lot of the problems I had with the game then still have yet to be addressed. Glad to see your FTPlaythrough going well though!
having the same experience right now, so looks like nothing changed, the 2 fortuna reps make me want to uninstall
Thank you good suggestion.
I'm about to try this thanks
Pro tip : use loki with max duration since his 2 also transfer to the archwing
Oh, Cool Advice
I'd recommend Octavia for this (or another frame that buffs multishot) if you can get her buffs relatively easy, as all buffs are helpful here. Speed applies to archwing much like wisps or volts, Stealth for obvs reasons, Multishot actually decreases the time needed to scan with the synthesis scanner. I've been taking her to end-starchart spies whenever I can be bothered to keep up w the game (:
edit- to be clear I've only tested this with Octavia, but the buff affecting it is multishot.
I was in a squad in plague star with an MR1, I made it my mission to protect him with my life.
How'd it go?
@@SomeDigitalGhost I big carried him through the missions, and he definitely had no idea what was going on.
[Everyone liked that]
I feel like they’d be able to fix several of Fortuna’s issues by simply reducing the size of the Vallis, most of the area around the edges is just a huge amount of empty space after all...
@@tooitchy This comment was before the New War changed the map and allowed animals to spawn without the lures
The archwing launcher should be given trough a quest or something
One would think, the archwing quest, would you give you the launcher segment
Much easier than hunting.
i finished max standing with vox solaris right before demios dropped. i dropped the game and havent been back since.
Having gone through the Fortuna debt bond grind recently, you are absolutely correct. Medical debt bonds is a soul crushing grind. I was checking Ticker every hour and endlessly running the third bounty and it took me over a month.
i'm very glad that free to playthroughs have put in perspective how vomit-inducing things like the rep grind, oxium farming, and doing open worlds without an archwing is, as it feels like many people who can't remember being low on those things just go "lol this is pennies to me"
especially for oxium, the last thing almost any new player i've met wants to do is stop all the fun they're having and go sit in a defense mission for 30 waves, especially a not particularly interesting at all defense mission, and the thought of "well, to progress in the way i want to, i've got to do that first" is the reason a lot of people don't log in again, i feel
I like these videos because it's so nostalgic to remember all the pain and suffering we've endured over the years at the hands of DE lol
Kudos to you
Appreciate the overview. Even though I've played for a while it's good to learn about how others tackles various grinds in this game.
Even as an MR31 player, i find it really really interesting seeing how the new player experience flows now-a-days compared to when I first started.
Completely agree that the debt bonds need looked at, as just hanging about wafting for Ticker to , maybe, feel like selling some relevant shit to your ranks up, feels like again a waste of my time
Demios was a massive step in the right direction, and the Plains rework pass was bunch of good changes.
I’m probably not even gonna touch Deimos once I got the helminth system running, seriously, these open worlds are the worst part of the game
By the time I got to doing open world I already had a pretty decent pile of mats to build the arch wing part
Also I HATE that hunting, fishing and mining are forced to rank up standings
"Rhino: He's a crowbar, you can apply him to anything"
I really love that as someone who played him from open beta week right up until he was finally replaced by Grendel my beloved meatball
fortuna just feels soul crushing, genuinely even at the end of the game it feels like shit to grind out those later missions
I remember the Thermia Fractures being the first defense that really took the Defense Frames for a spin
Limbo was getting shot through his Rift and enemies were seemingly shooting through Frost's bubbles and Gara's shield thing (apparently, the devs decided to give some enemies punchthrough without telling anyone).
Just basically do the rep farm shown at 43:36 Ivara is totally not needed.
as far a debt bonds i feel like they were nurfed like a year or so ago so its alot harder to get the higher tier ones.
my time ALONE in fortuna was my entire week after i started warframe on a new account.
Except for those damn Grineer shock traps. Damn things always get me while I'm invisible. And they always kill her. So dumb.
Once I really got into the open worlds, it just felt natural to be flying all over, but all my Oxium went that way
Just wanted to add that I enjoy the longer format videos, whether made-for-youtube or clips from stream.
Yep. It's been more than a year and they still haven't even fixed that bug.
Ahh yes, one of my earliest memories as someone who started just after plains was added...
''Woah, you can fly?! Ohh... I see''
My biggest problem is stress, I can't deal with stress very well so the mini levelling games are things I fail on again and again.
Normal gameplay no problem, but as soon as a clock pops up or if a "fail and I have to wait 24 hours" thing pops up then I will fail.
There's ways to cheese pretty much every MR test, check the wiki. The only one I failed was the MR30 test, so don't worry too much. Still I think the MR tests having that 24 hour delay is incredibly bad and it did bum me out a lot when I failed it xd
utilize the practice mode
The soul-crushing medical debt bond situation feels like a commentary on the American Health Care System.
covered most of the good stuff, but one thing that didn't come up even though it was on screen most of the video, deimos is where you get vulaphylas super easy. I was blown away that by the time my rhino finished building on a new account, I could already have access to arguably the best companion in the game. (and certainly more useful for how much effort goes into getting it compared to smeeta or even niche use case companions like botany boi)
Fortuna is my last grind. I'm MR 20, I skipped it and now I'm in the weeds and I hate it.
Dang. I rember buying a proper unbroken continuity for 5p at MR8. Mainly cause I didn't want to do the contrainer farm in the void.
@@JasonX1996 Worst part for me is I was doing the farm and the mod just refused to drop for me
cheers. been super helpful coming back this winter and having your ftplay for 3 years of effieicent building and progress catch up i needed ot follow and all the good investment and route and farm plans for me now. helps that i cna just burn 10 years of stored plat lol man im loving it but i just wanna make my ivara prime, zeph prime, nezha prime, rhino prime, and maybe saryn prime into picture perfect forma builds. coudl be nice hah
Easy peasy.
Son tokens - Build a vulp companion, get to lvl30, turn in for 10 son tokens, repeat. Farm tokens while cracking relics. No tranq needed.
Gotta be honest, feel like this video should have been split into two 6 minutes in, as it seems you don't go into the Open World stuff half a hour in.
wait..THERE'S AN OSTRON ARMOR SET?!
I have maxed standing and 2k+ hours in the game, never noticed it lmao
My wife got into it. It's fun as a veteran player, but also challenging because almost every aspect of the game has changed.
Yep. Even have a maxed Railjack with all the best parts, and got most of it before the current system was in place (so no AI crew)
Yet as tedious as those things can be solo, they were at least bearable or had some rewards that made it worth while, like eidolons when arcane energize and grace were worth thousands of plat, etc.
38:00 spends 3 mins ranting about archwings
Is using birb prime, who is an independent birb who don’t need no jet pack.
this is for new players dumb dumb, not everybody wants to play only zephyr in open worlds.
You don't have Zephyr when you get to the Plains and she's much slower than odonata without a build that is inaccessible to new players
I didn't even KNOW about the Ostron armor set and I've got something like 5000 hours in Warframe! When was that added?!
I'm aware but this account only has 1 copy of fleeting right now
I'm super late to this video but I've been playing warframe since in came out on ps4 but I stopped when POE came out. I just started back up last month and the main thing that really overwhelmed me was the open worlds! I really hope after duviri DE really goes back and fixes some systems for old stuff.
Just clicked this video, i really hope you mention the ridiculous size of the PoE control bounty. For starters, it's nearly impossible to beat without getting to 50%
The jewelry standing farm in Fortuna isn't that bad. Like, it takes a while but you can just mine them. You don't need to farm any of the orb bosses.
