Great video as always. John Carpenter is such a legend. His films are brilliant and his soundtracks are the icing on the cake. He's still making great music, even now. Here's my list: 1) EFNY 2) The Thing 3) Halloween 4) They Live 5) Big Trouble in Little China

Awesome list! I love those movies. Snake Plisken! Great name. Nowadays, crime here in NYC is almost as bad as in that movie! In Halloween, When Jamie Lee says kiddo I thought you outgrew superstition, it makes no sense lol! Even Carpenter said he has no idea what that line means. Debra told him to leave it in. I’ll bet it was from an earlier draft. And when Michael deletes the guy against the wall, there’s no way the knife was long enough. And there’s no reason for him to look at his own hand at the beginning, while he’s deleting. Still a brilliant movie. And I love Prince of Darkness. I agree that Thing is his best 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎃🎃🎃🎃🎥🎥🎥🎥

Having watched your video & read the lists of other subs, it is impossible to escape the omnipresence which is Kurt Russell. So now, time for Part II: The Contribution of Russell to the work of Carpenter. 😉
I'm an old timer, so I have to go with Halloween as my numero uno. Especially because of my experience when I first saw it, at age 13. It was before the arrival of VHS, we were at my uncle's cabin by a lake in Quebec, we watched the film outdoors, on a sheet hanging from the cabin (my aunt worked for a distributor of movies so she had access to a projector) and we watched Halloween, late at night, surrounded by trees, the sounds of that old projector, the waves and every critter imaginable in a forest. This is still one of my greatest cinematic experiences and every time I watch Halloween, I still hear the crickets, the waves and the wind in the trees...)
Excellent video Bryn. Really enjoyed it mate. Awesome list my friend. John carpenter is such a fantastic director, so it’s definitely hard to pick a favourite from him. So many great films. The Thing is definitely up there for sure. Halloween is fantastic as well, and I love The Fog, and They Live as well. Awesome stuff my friend.👍😃
They Live! Really even with that Unnecessary Fight scene that breaks out between Roddy Piper and Keith David over the Glasses. That spoilt it for me just an excuse to see them show off some moves! Oh the star used to be a wrestler we need to give him a Fight scene, Over a pair of shades really!!
The Thing remake 1982 his best movie in my view. Also, I wish he'd directed this new Salem's Lot movie which is taking forever to be released. I just think his remake would have been awesome.
