Hell yeah Bryn and Steve. Two of the nicest people on RUclips. This will be a blast. I honestly can't pick a favorite. I love all four of them. This video is fantastic. You guys rock.
I haven’t seen the second movie in ages. Gonna watch that again soon. Wow Michael Jai White! Nice outdoors break. Good idea to take a break during a marathon. I love Troma. I live 10 minutes away from their headquarters! Lloyd walked by me one day! I’m gonna watch the third movie again. I’m enjoying the vid! 👍🏻🎥🎥🎥🎥
I love this. Great to see two guys watching movies and reviewing them right there and then on the couch. Documented really well too, it makes us the viewer feel like we're there too. I'm familiar with the first movie but never seen the others so it was interesting to hear your thoughts on them. Great content 👌
Never seen any Toxic Avenger movie, I'm an older dude, more of a Universal/Hammer/AIP/Toho kinda guy, but I enjoyed your video, so I might give a try to Toxic Avenger, the first one at least :), thanks again for widening my horizons
It's been a few years since I last watched the Toxic Avenger movies. I remember laughing my socks off at the first one! Don't remember too much about the sequels. Will have to revisit. Excellent video, Bryn. You and Steve seemed to have a real blast together watching all the Toxy movies.
I do quite like these movie marathon episodes. Some of my favorites, in fact, even if I am extremely bitter my film choice was ignored last time and I called the Better Business Bureau 12 times about the matter. I haven't seen the third film since it hit video and I'm not sure I've ever seen the 4th one. But you did make it sound rather fun.
I keep telling you, The Adventures of R Sterling Gray is just too controversial to include in any respectable marathon. Part 4 is a difficult one to recommend as it's so un-PC and has something to offend everyone!
Fun day mate (well, maybe except the last film 😂😂). Thanks again for having me over. Looking forward to getting your thoughts on the Children Of The Corn sequels.
@@HorrificNightmaresJM thanks Jason. We've got another marathon coming soon. I won't say which franchise yet just in case Bryn wants to keep that as a surprise
@@MartinMcloughlin-463 Haha, there is a remake, mate. But it seems to have disappeared, not heard anything about it since it had a limited showing a few months ago.
Interesting video. I did this myself four or five years ago but only made it through to Part III, then gave up. I still don’t think I’ve ever managed to watch Part IV. The first is still quite decent to be fair. A bona fide classic in repugnant humour and garish, cartoon violence. I love the original embossed VHS release of this one but it was heavily cut in the U.K., although bizarrely there was a VHS retail small box that came out in the mid to later 1990s release by mistake, that contained the uncut version on it. I seem to recall this was a mistake and these were recalled - as back in the day the BBFC would not have allowed this to be released uncut. Anyway, you could tell if it was uncut because IIRC it had a sticker on the cassette with a code (which I can’t remember) and a certain code related to the uncut batch of tapes released by mistake, which if you were lucky enough to get early on were uncut. The second one I first saw uncut back in the 90s on a VHS which was taken from a Japanese Laser Disc (prior to this I’d only seen the very heavily censored U.K. VHS) and I thought it was great at the time with all the crazy violence. More recently when I watched this I thought it was pretty poor and the gory action got really repetitive - the highlight being the rather offbeat and kooky performance of Phoebe Legere, who although goofy seemed genuinely talented and an accomplished performer. The third I’d put on a par with the second. Though I have a feeling it was shot back to back with Part II it was toned down somewhat but benefitted from giving Legere more screen time, plus I liked the ‘sick breaks’ gag. Have you ever seen the Toxic Crusaders cartoon Bryn? I’ve not seen it but my curiosity is tickled by it because it seems like such an inappropriate idea to make a kids cartoon out of this franchise.
Thanks, Cliff! I'm really not sure if you'd enjoy Part 4 if you struggled with the first three - they ramp up the vulgar content and there really is something in there to offend everyone! Interesting story about the uncut vhs - I think there was a similar case with The Burning where they accidentally released it with the full uncut raft scene, before quickly recalling it. What's also interesting is how you enjoyed Phoebe Legere's performance - I actually thought she was one of the worst things about Parts 2 and 3. They way she ran around flaying her arms about in an over the top manner kind of irritated me lol. Always fascinating to hear how people see movies in a different way. I have seen The Toxic Crusaders and it's a very standard, kid-friendly cartoon. Certainly an odd idea to turn a violent, gory b-movie into a kid's show!
@@horrorhands879 Yes Thorn EMI recalled The Burning on pre-cert VHS, IIRC think they taped over the uncut version with a cut version, stamped it with a revised date and re-issued it back to shops. I doubt I would enjoy PartIV 😄 In spite of the tantalising lure of offensive content. I bet it’s pretty lousy. Part I is decent. I’ll agree there. Part II and III are okay.

Awesome Video Guys! The Toxic Avenger Hell Yeah! 👍🏼Definitely the first two parts are the best ones. Thanks for Sharing!👊🏼💀
Thank you, Leon! Yeah, I love the first two.
Any movie with a busty Adrienne Barbeau is alright with me! Great material as always HH. Look forward to more!

Such Fun movies. I’m still waiting to see the remake. I enjoy watching these watch along videos. the yearly 24hr marathon
Yeah, the remake seems to have gone quite. Thank you! There will be another 24 hour marathon later in the year 👍
Not my type of horror movie, Bryn, but I am glad they made you and your mate happy.
That’s fair enough, Vince. Thanks for commenting anyway 👍

Is there a remake with Kevin Bac on and Peter Dinklage in it? I'm sure I read that or did have too many pints of Guinness 🤔
