I love this project!! How do you come up with these projects? I am super excited to try making them. I just placed my Amazon order... I'll try again next month for my spending freeze. LOL.
I love this idea.I've gotten all my supplies and ready to make my exploding box. Can we use the scoring tool on the Explorer machine to do the scoring or do we score box by hand? I didn't see that mentioned in your video. I only heard about using the Scoring wheel for the Maker. Thank you.
Hi Jennifer I just watched this video yesterday and today I cut out my chipboard with my explorer Air 2 ! I make paper purses with chipboard and of course cardstock. The explorer cut my chipboard perfectly. I used chipboard because that is what I had. Thank you for the new skill. Thank you for all you do. You teach us so well with your expert tutorials. Thank you again Linda. Tx.
Hi, thanks for the tutorial. I've bought a Cricut Explore 3 and want to make a candle box on it. I've tried different papers, even 300gsm, but none of them is sturdy enough to hold the candle. Could you please advise which sturdy paper/cardboard is the best for it? Thanks in advance.
Could I try this with Chipboard Sheets 8.5 x 11 inch - 22pt? I have some extra of this stuff and it’s not my favorite I probably wouldn’t buy it again.
I have a question for you. I have a print and cut image that I wanted to cut up the itv to layer it on a shirt for me for my son's soccer team, The image has multiple layers on top of the shield, I can send you a picture, my question is how can you turn a print in cut into just a cut image in design space? When I change the image to cut it turns the whole image grey. I have tried slicing it up but I could even do that. Someone said in a video that I need to convert it in ink space or Silhouette design, do you know of a better way I don't want to have to learn another program just to make 1 shirt. Any advice would be appreciated.
Jennifer you come up with the coolest ideas! I love this jumping box. Plus thanks for teaching us how to cut cardboard. I was struggling with that. Thank you!!!
As always, an excellent and thorough teacher! Even though I will use my Cricut Maker, I always appreciate how you give directions for those without a cutting machine in an impartial tone.
That is just a suggestion. Cardboard is not a usual standard material that is cut on the Cricut. help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009504773-Which-materials-can-I-cut-with-my-Cricut-smart-cutting-machine#explore-machines
@@JenniferMaker wait so your saying the Cricut isn’t used for cardboard, well cardboard is one reason I got the Cricut to cut heavier stuff and it does with the right blade.
We designed and made them on our 3D printer. We plan to share the print files on our blog lat some point for anyone else who wants them. There are two styles -- the one on the left uses PVC pipes, so it’s height adjustable to your needs. The one on the right is all 3D printed except for the table, which is a piece of wood screwed to the legs. Both meet the requirements in Cricut’s Safety Instructions for “a flat and stable surface” as the Cricuts are just sitting on stable tables.
Hi there! I am getting ready to attempt this jumping box (I think I can, I think I can!!!) I printed out the step-by-step instructions and followed along with the video to take notes, and I noticed that the Dream Box ad covered over many of the instructions, and I had to hand-write them in. Just thought you may want to know this. Can't wait to make it!
Love it. Quick question…could the washers go underneath the cardstock or place additional cardstock over it? I know that area will be lumpy, but it wouldn’t be as obvious as the exposed metal washer. Just not sure if it will interfere with the “jump”.
Hi Jennifer love your videos. You mentioned telling us how to determine the thickness of our cardboard in this video but I didn’t see it anywhere!! I would love to know!! Thank you!!
Love this and can't wait to try it. Wondering 2 things. 1 I don't have the cutting blade, could I use the scoring stylus to mark my cutting lines? 2 could the washers be laid under the coloured card and either glued over or could foam stickers be used instead to create space for the washers?
You mean so you could then cut by hand? Probably but you'd need to set it to score instead of cut. You can try to cover them but it might throw off the mechanism 🥰
Hello Jennifer , sharing the love from da UP. Was wondering if you can hide the elastic and washer on the outside under the card stock or will that effect how it jumps? Beautiful project as always.
This looks like so much fun! Could we put butterflies in the box from the exploding butterfly box???
You could totally do that🥰
I love this project!! How do you come up with these projects? I am super excited to try making them. I just placed my Amazon order... I'll try again next month for my spending freeze. LOL.
Super excited for this one!! I didn’t know we could cut cardboard with our cricket!!😁
Yes you can!🥰

I am so overwhelmed watching this. Jennifer, you make everything look so easy. This is too much right now lol
Question I don't have a lot of money so I was looking on Cricut website and so refurbished cutters do u think it's ok to use refurbished
I don't see why not🥰

I have links below the video to the exact paper that I used 🥰
From the island of Saint Lucia. Interesting session. Is my Explore Air 2 able to dut cardboard?
Yes! 🥰
hi Jennifer, excited to make this for a friends 40th anniversary. Would cricut foil kraft board be strong enough. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, you can use that to make this.
Could I try this with Chipboard Sheets 8.5 x 11 inch - 22pt? I have some extra of this stuff and it’s not my favorite I probably wouldn’t buy it again.
Go for it! It may not be that sturdy. jennifermaker.com/cut-cardboard-with-cricut/
Another use for Amazon boxes!

That is a process that takes time to do. We have a workshop on this. makeracademy.com/custom-cut/

Can you show us how to make a mailer box using cardboard
Like a cardboard envelope for mailing large cards? You can request that here. jennifermaker.com/projectrequests/
Hello Jennifer, watching your replay, excited about cutting cardboard on my cricut.
As always, an excellent and thorough teacher! Even though I will use my Cricut Maker, I always appreciate how you give directions for those without a cutting machine in an impartial tone.
I’m confused you said if it doesn’t work cut it by hand, then why have a machine if you can’t cut cardboard

Those are very cute , but don’t have those cardboard right now 😊
Where can I get the shelf you have above your circuit?

Fun project! Thank you!🥰tfs
My lid is very loose and when placed on my box and then removed, my box did nothing. Not sure what I did wrong.
The blog post has more details. jennifermaker.com/cut-cardboard-with-cricut/
Had the same experience with the loose lid and the blog post didn't help. Guess I am moving on to a different project
Cute!❤

You could always try🥰
Hi Jennifer love your videos. You mentioned telling us how to determine the thickness of our cardboard in this video but I didn’t see it anywhere!! I would love to know!! Thank you!!
It's usually on the listing when you purchase it. If you have calipers you could also measure it that way🥰

You could try but you wouldn't be able to glue the outside piece down. 🥰
These look so fun! I can’t wait to try them!
Wow! You've done it again!
Sorry I missed this.
Omg it’s to fun!
It is a fun surprise!
It's good
Thanks!

Can Kraft board be used instead of cardboard?
You can try it but it might be too thin 🥰
So cute! Thanks 😊
These are so cool
