    1. Xylitol after meals
    2. Closys Ultra Sensitive mouth rinse before brushing. Half of what the bottle recommends to use.
    Use for ONLY one minute.
    3. Resilient dense tooth brush with good brissels.
    4. Crest cavity prevention tooth paste.
    5. Start brushing by brushing on the inside of teeth on bottom, massage gums.
If going to floss, do it right after brushing with toothpaste still on the teeth.
    6. Let toothbrush dry for 24 hours before uses.
    7. Rinse with Listerine cool mint or original. Original is tiny bit more powerful.
    Always use full strength.
Rinse as long as you can stand it, even if only for s second.
    8. Rinse with Act mouthwash zero alcohol Anti-cavity. Purchase smaller bottles, not larger. Larger have more water in them than the smaller bottles.
Best to rinse for a minute.

I made this note for myself & hubby... so thought it would be useful for someone.
    CLEANING TEETH
    WHEN?
    - 1. Right before you go to sleep. No eating drinking after.
    - 2. Time when you know you won’t eat/drink for another hour. (Great if there can be under 12 hours between the cleans.
    HOW TO CLEAN?
    1. Begin with mouthwash CloSYS - FOR 1 MINUTE ONLY! Tiny sherry glass amount. Bathe from side to side... tip head forward/sideways so all the difficult areas are ‘bathed’... no need to squish or flush, it will run down where it needs to as you bathe the teeth fully. (If ‘pockets’... bathe gently and mouth will do the work - don’t follow instructions on bottle, follow Dr Ellie.). Then spit out.
    2. Wet toothbrush, add 2 peas of toothpaste then small circles on the gums where root is. (If you decide you have to floss use it at this stage so it drags the toothpaste through the gaps in the teeth.
    3. Wash your toothbrush and stand up so it dries well!
    4. Spit out the blob of toothpaste (don’t wash off with water).
    5. Now rinse with Listerine Cool Mint (or Original which is a tiny bit more powerful) only: If too sensitive, rinse for long as you can stand it, don’t dilute it even if you can only stand it for a second! If it starts burning spit it out (you will build up tolerance and be able to rinse longer as you go on to 30/60 seconds). Squish in and out between teeth (it is liquid floss 😊).
    6. The moment it starts to burn, wash it off with ACT for ideally 1 minute (the most important mouth rinse).

It absolutely works - I am 67 and haven’t been to a dentist for 15 years out of fear and money - I was having gum problems last August - I knew I had to go see a dentist but knew I had many cavities and they would want to do more than just help with with my gums.- then One of her videos showed up on my feed. I started her routine and I can not believe what has happened- I only wish I took a before and after picture of my teeth - bleeding gums and cavities - today you would not believe how they repaired naturally - Thank you so much for teaching the truth!!! You have been such a blessing and I encourage everyone - especially us who are terrified of dentists - to start this routine. It doesn’t take long - no more than 5 mins - morning and night.

As I understand it, for someone to recommend root canal that would mean you have a cavity reaching all the way down to the tooth nerve, and it has been infected. Maybe the infection of the soft tissue inside is gone, but then how would that long hole reaching all the way down be filled without a dentist?

Even my deep pocket lessened considerably. No issues-no bleeding or sensitivity. I have probably flossed about 4 times over the past months (stuff between my teeth and honestly, I just wanted to check and see exactly what was different, since I tend to be skeptical… ) i had no buildup or food particles I will say that the only area I have to watch is the permanent retainer on my lower teeth. There was the tiniest bit of plaque that I had the staff scrape away. But otherwise, I told them to skip the cleaning and polishing etc. My dentist wasn’t happy and shook his head when I tried to explain what I was trying to do, but it’s my mouth! What could he do? My scaler still sits in its holder, now just as a souvenir of the past. No more baking soda, no more whitening strips, no more whitening toothpastes. Your system works! Thank you!

Now one month since using this system. The turn around in my dental health is so dramatic that, even after only four weeks, it’s hard to remember that my mouth was in the poor and deteriorating condition it was in. Main issue was receding gums accompanied by increasing sensitivity, to the point where my teeth felt weak. If I ate anything hard or crunchy, it almost felt like my teeth would break. But after a month on this system all sensitivity is completely gone. My teeth feel incredibly strong. I can crunch on anything and feel not even a hint of sensitivity. My gums are pink. Can’t say any receding gums have restored. But my gums have a different look, like they are more relaxed. My teeth look and feel incredibly clean. My mouth feels and smells so clean. No bad tastes or odors, just the taste of saliva. And my mouth now seems to be producing more saliva. I cannot be more grateful for Dr. Ellie and this system.

Teeth are rock solid; I can crunch hard foods without thinking about it. I’ve been using the system going into five months now and have zero issues. It’s an invaluable investment.

At the same time, my gums and teeth were getting super sensitive, which also caused me to avoid eating hard foods. But almost immediately after I started using this system, my teeth strengthened and all sensitivity went away. I’m using the system six months now. I can eat whatever I want without a second thought. Been doing this system 1 week, and wanted to comment on the immediate results from this system. I will preface by saying that I am a skeptic of the big-name products, and especially put off by chemical additives (such as dyes). But I decided to try the system, because, in spite of daily brushing and flossing, my gums have been receding, my teeth getting more and more sensitive, and my mouth doesn’t have the feeling of being clean. In fact, the more I was doing the worse things got. So when one of Dr. Ellie’s earlier videos popped up on my feed, I decided to lay all skepticism aside in the hope that I could get a handle on my deteriorating oral health. I did not order from her company. Instead, I located the products (exact versions shown in this video) at CVS, because I didn’t want to wait 3-4 weeks for delivery. As I stated at the beginning of this comment, I’m only doing this system a week. But after the first try alone, my teeth and gums felt exceptionally clean, the teeth having a very smooth, glossy feeling. After the second day, my teeth tightened up. In other words, they felt stronger, more sturdy. At the end of this first week, my teeth are getting whiter and gums more pink. I am also beginning to notice my morning mouth is cleaning up. Finally, I want to say a few words about this particular Crest toothpaste. After trying an untold number of different brands and varieties, I was struck immediately with this Crest. It has a smooth and creamy feel, and seems to glide across my teeth and gums, unlike other toothpastes that by comparison feel more like scouring powder. I plan to maintain this system, and, at least preliminarily, I am very grateful so far for finally, after many years, feeling like I have a handle on my dental health.

@@Cream_CurdlR For xylitol, two sources. First, I located pure, granulated xylitol made by a company called “Now.” I got a one-pound pre-packaged bag at a local organic market. Second, I ordered the Zellies gum and mints directly from the doctor’s company. The Now granulated xylitol has a good flavor. It’s made to be used as a sweetener; but I find I need quite a bit, in coffee for example, to get a good balance of sweetness. (I use honey, which is still my preference). Instead, I’ve been taking a pinch of the Now after meals and letting it dissolve under my tongue, then swish around my mouth, and spit out. Produces a clean feeling in my mouth and on my teeth that is a very unique and good experience. I can envision the xylitol neutralizing the acids and bad bacteria as Dr. Ellie has described. The Zellies (mint and gum) have a good flavor and produce exactly the same results. I ordered spearmint, but she sends samples of other flavors. The Fresh Fruit flavor is very good, as well.

This system works!!!! I do not know Dr. Ellie or any of her family and I don't have an ownership in any of the products she recommends. I cannot believe the changes in my gums and teeth. For years, I had a deep pocket in the top of my mouth between two teeth. I could not eat anything, especially salads and meat without food being trapped in that pocket. It was uncomfortable to say the least and I needed to floss that area immediately after eating. I also had a pulsating feeling in that area, sometimes worse than others and I just knew I would have to be pulling one of those teeth sometime soon. I also had gum recession in my lower gums and had a definite brown line below my teeth revealing the recession. Well, guess what? I tried Dr. Ellie's cleaning system, and that pocket has seemed to have closed itself up. No kidding! I don't even have to floss between the top teeth that had the pocket anymore and there is no more pulsing pain. I suppose my gums improved there and helped to close up that pocket. I even have noticed hardly any tartar buildup since I started her system. I decided to cancel my last cleaning. My gums on the bottom teeth that I mentioned, grew also to almost completely cover up that brown line showing. It's hard to believe that Dr. Ellie's system works, but it does! I would suggest you try it and don't give up and you will see the changes in your mouth. I would also like to recommend the Soft, Parodontax complete protection toothbrushes. They are very full, soft and the ergonomic handle doesn't slip easily like most toothbrushes. I get mine at Wal-Mart. They come 2/pack. Can't remember the exact price but I think they're $6ish.

Could not believe how much less sensitive my teeth were during the sonar clean, with hardly any ouchies at all. Hygienist said I had much less plaque than last time. Dentist was also impressed. Then they wanted me to explain the new protocol I was following which I did. I think the hygienist is a bit skeptical that 6 months from now I will be plaque free, but I am fully expecting it. Thanks, Dr Ellie, because years of brushing and flossing just didn't work that well.

So happy that you were able to make the move to a new idea.
This is very hard for a lot of people who have been brainwashed since they were children to simply "accept" the dogma of dentistry - even crazy ideas that have no scientific backing!
If your DDS or RDH is truly interested in "how" your change occurred, my book Mouth Care Comes Clean is a good read for a dental professional.
My first book Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye can be more difficult (not just because of the title - but it is more a "story" for people to know about the background that created this system). Mouth Care Comes Clean is about biology of the mouth that was discovered in 2007 by the Human Microbiome Project and how this SHOULD have changed the way dentistry is practiced.

    • @dr.elliephillips
      @dr.elliephillips  Год назад +49

@ChauNguyen-fw2hz When you have healthy oral biofilm it is protective of our gum, tooth and mouth tissues. It is a bulletproof film composed of proteins and healthy bacteria designed to coat our entire mouth and protect it from chemical, thermal and biological attacks - especially to protect from the chemistry of foods, temperatures (hot and cold) of drinks and foods and from cavity and gum disease bacteria.
Certain products (baking soda, artificial whitening and peroxide) literally dissolve this protective coating off our mouths.
Dry mouth will also damage this coating. Long periods of sipping acidic drinks - soda or sports drinks - or for women being pregnant when their saliva pH becomes acidic for 9 months - are all reasons to loose this biofilm protection. Smoking of course will also damage it...which is why smokers have periodontal issues and dry mouth problems.....
The key it to rebuild this biofilm. Zellies at the end of meals will alkalize your mouth.
Then if you do not eat or drink for 1-2 hours the xylitol will feed the good bacteria and enable them to rebuild this biofilm covering.
My Complete Mouth Care System helps rebuild this biofilm covering - working in synergy with xylitol.
You need every product in the system - exactly - and in the correct sequence - for this to work.
For people who experience "burning" from Listerine - it indicates they have lost this protective covering.
The system will rebuild it - and this will take from days to weeks to months - depending on your immune system health and your general speed of healing.
If you are an unhealthy smoker who eats a poor diet and is taking many medications - this may take some time.
if you are a healthy person who simply had a few bad habits ( whitening teeth or using baking soda paste etc for example) then your turn around time may be a few days.
The secret is to only use the Listerine up until it "burns" - and then spit out - and rinse with the ACT.
Ensure you have the toothpaste residue on your teeth - just spit out the big glob of toothpaste and let the Listerine wash the rest of the toothpaste off your teeth.
Squish the Listerine in and out between your teeth - but only until you fee the "heat" and then spit it out.
Time this if you can - and you will see the time it takes to feel "hot" will extend gradually.
This is your sign that you are developing healthy biofilm.
Do not forget that most of the work is done by xylitol after meals - when your saliva flow is full of proteins after meals.
The system is just the icing on the cake......please let me know if this helps explain how to achieve the results you want.
Brush lower than the grafts and on the inside areas of your teeth if you are nervous to brush on top of the grafts.
You could even use a clean cloth and use your finger to do some gentle massage over the grafts.
The massage is to "call" stem cells to the area - to regrow and heal these wounds.
if you need more help from me - I have an oral health bootcamp at my website DrEllie.com that you may find useful.

If those "small cavities" you are talking about are developing "class V" (five) cavities ....on the sides of your teeth - I'd advise you to be very S L O W in deciding to have these filled ever.
They will not get worse if you stay on my Complete Mouth Care System and any sensitivity will go away - often quickly - within days.
Fillings in this area can upset the nerve inside the tooth and may lead to tooth death a decade later.

Thank you for your "excitement" -
I'd love to create this line of products - but only if I was sure they'd be as effective (or more effective) than the ones I currently recommend.
I have thought about this for decades.
The problem is that dentistry still does not have a way to test mouth HEALTH - they only know how to detect disease and damage.
We need to learn about the composition of a healthy oral biofilm.
This is the key piece of the puzzle.
If we could test people who have been on my system for 5-40 years and look at the microbial patterning of their oral biofilm - we would have a great starting point....a point for comparison.
I have a study design, and am willing to do it - but I have had no success finding sponsorship/funding for this project.
I asked many associations and people including Delta Dental Foundation (associated with Delta Dental Insurance) who said home care was not part of their "wheelhouse". LOL!

We have Listerine and Xylitol sugar. That's it. I found a mouth rinse and toothpaste called Ultradex that is supposed to be equivalent. I started using all about 3 weeks ago and immediately saw a difference. No plaque is forming and no food is getting stuck. I've stopped flossing too - no need ! Receding gums are improving. And back teeth look whiter, just waiting for front teeth to catch up. Thank you so much Dr Ellie - been looking for you for years ! Hope Zellies, Crest toothpaste and the other products reach Ireland soon 😊

Dr. Ellie I will be singing my praises for you to my children and (if Im lucky enough) to my grandchildren aswell! ❤ I just want to share my story - My first pregnancy resulted in 8 big cavities which one of them resulted to a root canal so I was sad and desperate and tried everything that promised to save my teeth including oil pulling, salt rinses, I was recommended going to cleanings every 3months… nothing seemed to help. Then I stumbled on xylitol and boy did just that one thing helped to turn around my oral health. I chewed xylitol gums everyday after every meal. I made a habit out of it. Then to top it I discovered your videos so I introduced your system to my regime. Yesterday I got back from the dentist for my yearly appointment and they did some x-rays and my dentist just said that it looks more than good on the scans and Ive got ZERO new cavities. My teeth look shiny and white, my gums are pink and I couldnt be more happy. Thank you for being such an amazing human being and teaching us to care for our oral health ❤

Hi Doctor. I started using your routine religiously and in a few weeks I saw improvements in my saliva. I was getting this gross brown film on my teeth when slept despite conventional brushing. I was becoming self conscious about it. Anyway, now I’m using the Closys, Listerine, Crest anti cavity and Act and the film has completely stopped forming on my teeth. My gums are less red and look much smoother. They no longer bleed when I brush. Dentists would only recommend deep cleaning. I got one and they wanted me to do another 12 months later. Nothing was improving because it was their only suggestion. Now my mouth is doing better and I will continue for 3-6 months with the complete mouthcare system and Zellies. Thank you.

When Dr Ellie mentions the protective biofilm being removed at cleanings... i specifically remember when I was in high school. I went for my regular cleaning, after she cleaned my teeth, I felt like my bottom permanent retainer area was fuzzy and rough feeling the next day and onwards. Crazy that as a kid, I asked myself in my head, "What did that hygienist do to my teeth?!" They felt so slick and clean BEFORE, and it was noticeably different for months after I left that office. Wow.

They say "get a water jet", I do and it's ok but not the best. They clean my teeth twice a year and my teeth are getting worse. I went 10 years without seeing a dentist and my teeth (and gums) were not this bad. I tell them this and they say, "well you should really get your teeth cleaned 3 times a year". But somehow I went more than 10 years and my pockets remained the same, then I come under dentist care and in 2 years my pockets get so bad that I need a "flap" or "LANAP". That's when I came to RUclips searching for other options. I will come back after I have tried your methods.

    Teeth program:
1 Zellies xylitol gum or mint after every snack meal or drink, take 2 after meals 5 times a day. Can also take before bed or in middle of night
2 Closys: gently bathe for 1 minute- no more than (don’t need to swish or gargle), focus on gently holding the rinse on areas of concern. You only need an 1 oz. Get the ULTRA SENSITIVE- blue box
This neutralizes ph so ok to use directly after eating
(Do not add flavoring, do not rinse with h20 after)
3 brush, Crest Cavity protection regular “help stop cavities before they start” - very important that it says this
Brush: dense, resistant, she doesn’t like ⚡️ ones.
Wet brush, add two pea sized drops
Gum massage, extra attention to gum pockets
Start on inside/back, below teeth- roots of teeth
    Circles or up and down
May want to wet brush again and add some more paste for top teeth if need more paste
    This stimulates stem cells!
Preserve brand is ok for brush but she likes mouth watchers dr plankas
She doesn’t recommend floss but can do now w paste on teeth, can just spot check areas now and then where you know food gets stuck or problem areas.
Make sure toothbrush has 24 hours to dry
    When traveling take 2
    Spit, don’t rinse!
4 Rinse vigorously w Listerine 30-60 seconds (ONLY AS LONG AS YOU CAN STAND IT- don’t push it- build up to 1 min), OG is most whitening but can use cool mint. Force is between teeth - this is your floss!!
Make sure ADA seal is on it
5 rinse w anticavity zero alcohol ACT 1 min, don’t get the bigger bottle- it’s watered down. You want .o5%
*wait 15 min before putting retainer on
No eating or drinking for 30 minutes
Before bed is most important time for the program. After coffee in a.m. is great time also.

Congratulations - this is such great news. This system works best for a “healthy” person as it is stimulating your own mouth to heal itself.
But the good news is that this system works for everyone - even people who smoke or have poor digestive health for example. These individuals have more challenges to overcome so they may have to wait a week or two longer for the same results.
In almost all cases gums and dental decay will be healed (or substantially improved) within 3- 6 months - so it’s perfect to use this system between dental visits.
The only time it won’t work is if someone has a dead tooth. There is no way to bring a dead tooth back to life!
Thanks so much for your comment and feedback. Once again I’m so happy you tried this - congratulations!

RUclips is a wonderful source of information. Usually, being English, I am not too keen on many American sites ( Dr Berg being an exception) . Somehow I found myself drawn to Dr Ellie, despite her accent, and watched a few of her videos having had years of dental problems, despite excellent hygiene. Today, watching this, I realised I would have been studying at Chelsea College of Physical Education, Eastbourne, whilst she was also training there in Dentistry!!!
Maybe that is why I enjoyed her style and, like Dr Berg, passion for her subject without it being about profit. I admire people with integrity, so often lacking in today’s money obsessed society. Thank you Dr E.

Do you live in the United States?
Here it is very easy to get the products I recommend - most of them are in Walmart - or you can get through Amazon.
Just be sure to get the exact products.
I have a free downloadable booklet on my website at DrEllie.com
There are links to the products there.
Begin with xylitol at the end of meals - either Zellies mints or you can use granular ( which is less expensive but I don't sell - so you will have to go to a health store or Amazon to find).
Get the correct Crest paste ( $1.95) and start there - using the paste twice a day.
It works in synergy with the xylitol.
You can start this program like this if necessary and see improvements - if you stop eating and drinking between meals and always clean your gums and teeth before sleeping at night. Even have a little xylitol after cleaning your teeth....let a few crystals dissolve on your tongue.....just see the difference this will make :)

    @chariots8x230 5 месяцев назад +29

    Timestamps for my own reference:
    0:12 Intro
8:34 Xylitol after meals (2 xylitol mints after each meal), and last thing at night before going to sleep
12:18 Closys Ultra Sensitive (use to rinse/bathe mouth for 1 minute before brushing)
18:46 Brush teeth with ‘Mouthwatchers’ toothbrush, and ‘Crest Cavity Protection Regular Paste’ (this toothpaste says “helps stop cavities before they start”).
27:20 How to brush teeth (make sure to moisten toothbrush before brushing)
33:08 If you choose to floss (although not necessary), use something like the ‘Hello’ floss that doesn’t have PFAS in it, and floss while you have the toothpaste on your teeth.
34:21 Wash toothbrush in running water, and stand it up on the ceramic toothbrush holder stand. Use one toothbrush in the morning, and a different toothbrush at night. This is to allow each toothbrush 24 hours to dry between uses.
When traveling, use cheap disposable toothbrushes, because it’s not good to store toothbrushes in low oxygen environments like travel cases or luggage due to anaerobic bacteria.
36:37 Spit out the glob of toothpaste. Rinse off the rest of the toothpaste with ‘Listerine’ mouthwash (original or cool mint version) by squishing it in your mouth for as long as you can stand it.
46:29 After using the ‘Listerine’, wash it off with ‘Act’ 0.05% mouthwash for 1 minute.
52:08 Do the ‘Complete Mouth Care System’ before you go to sleep, without eating or drinking anything afterwards. When doing this system, select a time when you won’t be eating or drinking for at least 1-2 hours after you do the system, such as before you go to work in the morning. To sum up, do the ‘Complete Mouth Care System’ in the morning, and do it again 12 hours later before going to sleep.
TIP: No rinsing with water between the steps.

Thank you Ellie for this thorough video and for also mentioning the certain ingredients in the products that are undesirable but not a major concern. I have been a label reader for many years and was hesitant with the products when I started this almost 2 weeks ago. But after this updated video, you've eased my fears about the coloring, fluoride, etc. The benefits are so well worth it.
I was worried about my receding gum line, that's how I stumbled upon your video. I used to floss every night for years. I stopped flossing when I learned in another video of yours that it can damage the gums. Your system makes complete and total sense to me. And it so easy and quick. I love how clean my teeth feel now. Also my teeth are much whiter. I've always had stains from tea, etc.
I had a dentist appointment coming up in 2 weeks but postponed it today until March. I am excited to test this and see if my gum line improves. When I go for my check up I will probably ask them not to do the cleaning. At the dentist, scraping the tarter off my teeth was the worst. I am thinking I won't have to endure that anymore.
