I started using this system about 4 months ago - and it has totally changed my mouth in the best way. My teeth feel smoother, plaque is nearly gone, and my gums don't ache anymore. I've added a simplified method (using the toothpaste, ACT mouthwash, and xylitol mints) to my 15 year old's routine and he says his teeth feel smoother and at his last dental visit the dentist commented that his teeth look really good. I'm very impressed with the results. Thank You! : )

When you are a child, you do not give a damn about teeth, you just play around. It is the parents who need to be aware of all these things and show the children how to take care of their teeth. And if something occurs, it is them who need to act on it as soon as possible before the damage is so big that the child will suffer the consequences all its life knowing it could have been prevented in time. I feel like I am patching up patches with another patches and my teeth will never look and feel healthy ever again.

These videos are so helpful. I spent years listening to my dentist dispensing ultimately flawed and uninformed nonsense. I could have saved myself thousands of dollars had I known this as a young man.
To those complaining about these videos being too long: this is a you problem. You clicked on a 20-minute video, presumably because you wanted to learn something about your teeth. Learning isn't done by reading headlines. If you don't have the attention span to learn how and why something works (or doesn't), then you're unlikely to have the attention span to fix the problem.

We can and should always strive for ' excellence ' in everything we do.
      Perfection is impossible to achieve
      NOTHING on earth is perfect
Unfortunately the greater majority of people are taught very basic
Elementary English - known as Common Street English - and they
have a very limited vocabulary - and most do not know what the words
actually mean - nor where the words came from.
They merely repeat what they hear the uneducated masses say -
instead of educating themself by reading books by accomplished
authors that one can learn from.
Knowledge often comes from unexpected sources - and any knowledge
provided is a GIFT - acquiring knowledge is extremely expensive in
      both time and money.

I've had teeth issues in my molars from multiple run-ins with a few bad dentists. Small chunks of food gets lodged in between when I eat (which creates a breeding ground for bacteria and causes all sorts of pain) and I have sharp edges that catch on to everything which I can feel running my tongue over it. After being desparate for a long time I tried Dr. Ellie's protocol for about a month and it changed all my issues. Plaque litterally fell off my teeth, teeth whitened significantly, Bad breath gone.
I saw a difference in the first few days really. It's been about 4 months since and I have changed it a bit for my own reasons. I just felt a need to reduce the amount of flouride entering my body since I learned I have flourosis. I eat low carb which makes the most significant difference for tooth health because you are no longer feeding the bad bacteria, I brush with xylitol toothpaste, chew xylitol gum, and tongue scrape (Not sure if it's making any difference but I am trying it out).
Couldn't thank Dr. Ellie enough. I am glad to support her cause to educate the people by buying zellie's mints for my kids.

I'm 72 years old, originally from South Africa.
I have been living in the UK for 19 years and my teeth are in a mess.
The crowns they put in are bright white.
And I must be thankful that I am an NHS patient.
I have gum problems, but after the dentist "cleaned" my teeth and told me to use Corsodol toothpaste, my gums have never been this bad.
For the first few years I had a South African dentist in the UK and he was very good, but he disappeared.
In lockdown I lost two teeth, because the fillings they put in, in ten minutes fell out.
Going private is very expensive, twice the price of South Africa.
I have managed to find most of the products at Amazon and will save the few teeth I have.
My gums are my biggest worry, but reading reviews I am willing to try and succeed.

Interesting note that goes with your system... In another video, you mention how the saliva does the most mineralizing in the evening. To match that, recent studies show that the kidneys are the most active in the first 10 hours of the day, so that is when you should do the most hydrating.
It is super important for your health to stay hydrated. So to incorporate your system and stay hydrated, I start my day with drinking 40 oz of water. Then progressively drink a little less than that about 30 minutes before each meal, drinking hardly any water after 5-6pm.
Doing your system by the book. Well, actually using a lot more xylitol than the 6-8 grams. I was curious how much it would take to give myself the upset stomach that one will get with too much xylitol... I've gone over 70 grams and not had any stomach upset. Keeping it to about 10-15 grams now. One month in and the difference is already very noticeable.

It turned out to whiten my teeth. It also gave me additional benefits.
    - I wash my mouth for 30 seconds with 1 to 3 diluted apple vinegar and cleanse my mouth with water afterwards.
    - I brush my teeth with non fluoride toothpaste. One to two times per day.
    - I keep coconut oil in my mouth for about 5 minutes several times per day
    - I eat almost no plants anymore. I do eat olives, avocado and Sauerkraut.
    - I eat no carbs anymore.
    - I eat almost exclusively meat, fish, eggs and cheese.
    - I do intermittent fasting (OMAD). Eating just once per day is fantastic for the cleanness of your mouth
It only takes a few days to realize that your mouth is so clean and smooth.
It takes about one month to notice a difference in the color of your teeth.
It will take about half a year to come close to your personal maximum of whiteness.
Avoiding coffee and tea helps too.
The side effects in your mouth are:
    - No smells
    - Clean feeling
    - Teeth are soft and smooth
    - The gum looks and feels amazing
By the way: It doesn’t cost much.
Downside: You will only meet your caring dentist on the golf course and not for treatments.

i am though struggling in the UK to find a good affordable source of xylitol gummies or sweets they all seem way over priced. but i have found that xylitol powder by the KG is an affordable option just not sure how i should use it...any ideas?

Dr Ellie kindly guided me in using xylitol crystals a few weeks back, and it’s super easy. I can’t tolerate the mints and other forms but the crystals are great. Very similar to sugar crystals. I broke my bags down into containers with lids and a spoon inside. You just melt it in your mouth, and swish around so it coats your entire mouth. I then spit out the excess in the sink. Your advice is incredible! I have been using some of the products because I live in Thailand and cannot buy all the products. We have Lotte xylitol gum and mints which help a lot. I used to brush my teeth 5 x a day and reduced to before breakfast, rinsing after breakfast, then before bed, but using Listerine mint mouthwash after meals. I have zero plaque and I used to have to use a dental scaler to remove it myself all the time, and, of course, every six months. My last visit I had zero plaque. This is definitely due to your tips about sipping water, letting saliva build up, and using the mouthwashes you advise except the Closys as it is not here. i take a half tsp of xylitol after a meal and let saliva build up and swish it in my mouth for a few minutes, then swallow. Hi, I´d like to add to my previous comment that I do recommend flossing for people who have some pockets in their gums. I did the tooth care system without flossing and one of my gums started to bleed because there was still some small particle of food stuck inside. You cannot see or notice it, so I´ll keep carefully flossing as part of my routine, to be sure. I treated the inflammation applying natural honey (anti bacterial) and aloe vera a couple of times a day to the gums. Also a drop of tea tree oil in your mouthwash or mixed with some water have scientifically been proven to be as effective as clorhexidine to treat cases of gingivitis. It also produces less irritation to the mucous tissue in the mouth.
I´ll stopped using Listerine Mint because it irritates my gums too much. Dr. Ellie, does the formula you recommend have alcohol and benzoic acid? Because the original version is no where to be found here and the Mint version has these ingredients. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge!!

Hi, thanks for the video. I'm 49 years old, never had a cavity and follow a whole food plant-based 'diet' for the past 20+ years. I'm healthy, haven't had a cold in about 20 years, exercise everyday etc. Anyway, for the past 30 years or so I have swished around my mouth most days 2% hydrogen peroxide before I brush with a 'natural' baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) toothpaste. I was told this hydrogen peroxide and sodium bicarbonate combo was the best defense against cavities (contrary to the modern dentists' suggestions). I was told this by several people I have met (each at different times) who were all over 70 and who each never had a cavity themselves after using this combination since childhood. Anyway, I don't use, and have never used, any whitening products like you warn about, however I do swish around my mouth this capful of hydrogen peroxide 2% before brushing. In your mind, does this pose the same damage as the peroxide whitening products on the market? What are your thoughts on 20 second mouth swish with hydrogen peroxide before brushing? Again, I've never had a cavity, and everyone else in my family has by their 20s. Thanks again.
ps...I just listened to rest of video, and now have another question; my saliva PH is always 7.4 - 7.5, but I do drink water all day long. I do it not out of any kind of training, but honestly because I am always thirsty. I drink an average of over a gallon of water (reverse osmosis micro-filtered) a day everyday. My teeth are not as white as they once were, and I'd like to whiten them, but I feel I am always thirsty and so I'm always drinking water. Considering my PH on saliva strips is always alkaline, could you explain this to me? I really don't want to go for periods of time without drinking water. Again, thank you.

Hi everyone, I did an in office professional Philips Zoom whitening about 6 months ago and do not recommend it. First of all, I have noticed very little difference in the change of colour. They were not yellow at all to start with. I guess I was getting used to seeing the white teeth in commercials and advertising and just thought mine were not white enough.
I always thought I took good care of my teeth since I do not have any sugar in my diet and brush 2 or 3 times a day. Since then, I actually discovered what did most of the harm to my teeth were the daily fresh orange juice every morning and the cup of tea after that (without rinsing my mouth afterwards) I have always thought only sugar was the issue not the acids in food.
I just noticed a gum was bleeding the other day and I have never had issues with my gums before! I´m sure the whitening is bad for your enamel in the long run, but for the gums it´s really bad from the get go. They receded somewhat after the bleaching and show no signs of recovery.
At least this experience helped me to make my teeth a priority from now. I´m fifty and I want to keep them healthy and functional, not too bothered with them being white or not anymore! 🙋‍♀

@@supermario4024 Dr Ellie’s system or procedure uses products made by other well known companies. She makes no money off of them. You can buy the system from her at her website and she makes money off of that but she should because you’re essentially reimbursing her for the products she bought and assembled for you. You can buy these products yourself wherever they’re sold. Dr Ellie does make a xylitol product called Zellie’s Mints. It’s actually a public service that she does this because it’s not easy finding xylitol products. She also sells a program at her website that teaches about her entire program so you don’t have to piece it all together from multiple videos. All this information is basically for free to us, and I’m super grateful to Dr Ellie because she has educated us while most of mainstream dentistry has not. My own dentist and hygienist have done nothing to educate me. I knew nothing about the wonders of xylitol. They never explained the dangers of an acidic mouth. They constantly promote damaging teeth whitening. What I’ve figured out, and others might chime in here, is that Dr Ellie has put together a mouth care system based on her decades of dentistry experience, as well as educating us on the science behind what we need to do and why. She’s amazing.

Gingivitis… i just didn’t get it. I refused to accept that gums don’t grow back as the body will always try to restore itself one way or another. I was so grateful to be guided to your video. It all made sense… acidity. I religiously drank lemon water for decades in the morning before eating fruit, then added kefir water and kombucha ( strong kombucha) to my evening routine just before brushing my teeth. On top of that I had used whitening strips on and off over time… it was basics an accident waiting to happen. Once I saw your video I immediately stopped these acidic drinks. And started chewing xylitol gum immediate after I eat or drink. My teeth are returning smooth and thicker again and are returning to their natural whiteness. I had been using pretty good products oral B enamel densifying tooth paste en vitis sensitive mouthwash which also helps with regrowing enamel. I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted before as I was still drinking those horrible drinks, but now I’m amazed at the results after not even a month. Floss but I also do a turmeric pack on some gums that were red and I cannot tell you it healed the redness and my teeth have never been whiter. It does take time every night but I will stick to it bc the results have been so good.

Hydroxyapatite is said to help whiten teeth. There's also CPP-ACP but there's some opinions that say it will block minerals from entering the structure.

Thank you, Dr. Ellie for giving me hope. I’m 66 and just discovered your system. I bought the Closys and Listerine and old fashioned Crest yesterday, plus a bunch of Pure Cylitol gum and granulated Xylitol. Your system makes so much sense. God bless you

Dear Dr. Ellie, really appreciate your professional knowledge, sincerity, and honesty. I have tried your mouth care system for two and a half months. My teeth have become smoother and my gums keep growing back! While this makes me really happy, something scary is also happening. My teeth become yellower and yellower instead of whiter and whiter as I would expect. The yellowish color started between the teeth and gradually spread to the front. And three of my lower front teeth got yellow from the top and gradually moved to the bottom. I don't understand why. Have I been drinking too little water, so my mouth has been too dry? Have plagues been growing between the teeth? I am so tempted to use floss or dental picks to clean between teeth. What should I do now? My husband is also using the mouth care system. He notices plagues building up between teeth. Can you help, Dr. Ellie? I'm worried.
Let me share more on my experience. Three months ago, before I could find any of your recommended products, I first stopped the habit of sipping and started massaging my gums. After three days, to my amazement, my receding gums started to grow back. The interdental brushes could no longer go through the gaps. I couldn't believe my eyes. Then I decided to try your mouth care system. I am residing in Turkey. I could not find all of your recommended products. To start with, I bought the 100% xylitol in granulated form, your recommended Listerine, and ACT (Very expensive). I couldn't find Crest or any substitute toothpaste with the most basic ingredients, so I used the toothpaste that I had (Parodontax (with sodium bicarbonate)). After two weeks, I noticed some yellowish color between the teeth and also on the lower front teeth. But I didn't give up the mouth care system. I kept going. After finishing the bottle of ACT, I switched to Colgate Plax (with similar ingredients to ACT). For toothpaste, I switch to Oral B 1-2-3 (Aqua, Hydrated Silica, Sorbitol, SLS, Cellulose Gum, Aroma, Trisodium Phosphate, Sodium Fluoride, Carbomer, Sodium Saccharin, Glycerin, Limonene, Sodium Hydroxide, Polysorbate 80, CI42090). Only one week ago, I managed to buy your recommended toothbrush.
What should I do now? Please help.

THANK YOU Dr Phillips for your chapters! I know this is added time to the editing process yet it helps me tremendously. Thank you. Now…. how do I get you to respond to my questions. 😊 I know you’re incredibly busy, and my own dentist is no help. I did send an Instagram message & I asked on another current video. Loving my new dental routine though!

Quick plaque buildup in a short time that also quickly calcifies is a serious problem, that is caused by multiple things. Also it is a sign you have notenough of certain nutrients and is an indicator that your arteries are also calcifying and other parts of your body. If you have not enough magnesium ratio to calcium ratio ( you need at the same time more calcium than magnesium when consuming calcium rich foods ( so be aware of calcium supplementation, without magnesium! ) + not enough K2/K1.
    Not enough vitamin C...
My father had never tartar buildup and hardened plaque, but when he was diagnosed with severe arterial calcium plaque and clogged arteries, his plaque ( hardened tartar ) was very severe too. So people be aware>>> if your teeth develope very quickly tartar, your arteries are also clogged with calcium depisits!
My father had no tartar buildup and NEVER BRUSHED HIS TEETH IN HIS LIFE! Until his arteries where calcified! Get checked with the CORONARY calcium score test, IF your teeth have severe calcium deposits buildup! My father also consumed high amounts of calcium by drinking everyday milk, cheese, but lacked magnesium, K1/K2!
Not every tartar buildup is from bad oral cleaning.
Also...if you use aggressive toothpaste and other products like mouthwash, antibiotics, fluoride, to much dental cleanings with again products that dentists use, your teeth lose their own enamel and get very weak by eliminating the good bacteria also, which again makes your oral biome compromized with decaying teeth, where also again tartar builds up.
Be gentle to your teeth and also clise your mouth when sleeping, so your mouth stays humid inside, instead of drying out ( tape your mouth at night ). Dry mouth is very bad for your gums and teeth, so people with Sjörgen syndrome need extra care! Sjörgen syndrome is again a sign of not enough of certain nutrients, like vitamin A, D, E, K and other nutrients ( dry mouth and eyes are not normal and are often caused by this nutrient deficiencies and so on.
If you have diabetes, pre- diabetes your oral health is compromuzed also. People with hashimoto, thyroid disease are also at risk for oral problems.
Not everything is related to poor oral hygiene.
Also, some bacteria cause also toothdecay if they are too abundant in your iral biome. You need to check your saliva under an electron mucroscope! No many dentists have a microscope to check for certain bacterias in your mouth.
Antibiotics kill the bad, but also the good, so your oral biome is destroyed too, with again oral problems as a result.
Your diet is soooo important to your oral health. What you drink and eat is key to oral health.
Smoking, alcohol is sooo bad too.
Smoking and alcohol dries up your mucosa in your mouth, kills good bacteria also and deprives your oral tissue from enough oxigen, to name a few problems, but there are more. Also, 1 cigaret deprives you of 60 mg of vitamin C if i am correct! Vitamin C is needed for collagen production and to strengthen connective tissue ( like your gums for example ).
Vitamin B12 and other B vitamins, zink are also needed for oral health.
Consuming fruitjuices, coffee also destroys your teeth.
    Cleaning after eating fruits also.
Sugar, flour are also a culprit.
    The list goes on.
People please, research yourself all you can find, because dentists normally do not tell you much. But promote their products, oral procedures to make money out of you.
    Rootcanals are horrible too.
    Amalgam fillings too!
Even other metals in your mouth and composites. Your body will decline too.
Bad breath is a serious thing and a sign also of other health issues.
Most people have also not enough stomac acid to digest food ( the symptoms of not enough stomac acids feel the same as to much stomac acids!!!
You need enough stomac acid bile to digest food, otherwise you also get bad breath. Bad breath can also be a sign of sepsis, liver failure and other serious issues. Depending on the smell of your breath different issues are seen.
Coconut oil pulling has good results to keep your teeth and gums in better shape for some people. Some use virgin sesami oil too.
    Work on your diet.
    Dr. Erik Berg
    Dr. Peter Osborne
    Dr. Ken Berry
Just to name a few people with knowledge that can be useful to resolve issues and to understand your body, diet and so on.
    Good luck!

Thanks! I fast anyway so now I will leave time for saliva to do it's thing. I've used Now Foods xylitol toothpaste and oral rinse for years. I changed to using allulose as an alternative sweetener. I'll get some xylitol for that last cup of tea at night.

Use xylitol after meals and drinks. Don’t add it into drinks. It works best by itself - not dissolved in liquids.
