Reminds me of back when I was a young kid we had a 67 Ford station wagon with a 390 in it and dad was racing a Corvette on the highway as we were rolling down the road and it was obvious we beat the Corvette
Is it just me or is there no nitrous setup in the beginning of the video when you're filming them set the timing? I don't see a plate or fogger setup on it there
Might want to be careful I know a guy that did that and twisted his frame like a burrito the same day make sure you box the motor and add strength to the beams
@@sergeantmasson3669 well it depends on what year but yeah even with what you have going on I’m surprised you have never had any issues but I even had a 460 in my 91 f250 and had to replace the front axle after I upgraded my motor because the Dana 50 that comes stock is two separate pieces
@@sergeantmasson3669 you are better off with the 77 f150 because at least you have solid straight axle however good for you for not having issues with your setup
@@Onewingedangle42 1977 F150 has a much stronger frame than '80 and newer. BTW, my '77 F150 is a short box 2wd. My '78 F350 4x4 has a Dana 60 front axle.
Love '79 Ford trucks. Love 460's.

Carburetors naturally aspirated got to love it
I was hoping the truck would win.
That's still good. Very good for a truck.
Damn that things a runner.
Damn I love my Fords
Badass Ford 👍
Hell Yeah 👊
Poor man's all wheel drive !
This truck needs the box for traction aid.
Bv
Is he racing in4wd? I've seen deisels do it and I'm interested in trying it
I dont believe so.

Good eye, the start up was actually from the year before and the carb is actually different than the current one.
@@RACEYOURRIDE thats what I figured, badass truck for sure. I love seeing shit built out of spare parts getting raced
Change the gears , back to 411 would help at the top end
God made American made 🤫
Absolutely Feckin Awesome! Just us the nitrous next time

Love it.
Beast
Hell Yeah 💯👊
Esto era Ford de la buena
Chevy don’t sound near as good as that ol Ford! 😂
For such a bad *ss camaro, it sure sounds a cheap ol rice burner. Love this truck
The car sounds sweet, but the big block with open headers drowns it out
About to 460 swap my 78 f150. Np435 though. Hopefully I can keep it together through winter. 😂

@@Onewingedangle42 REALLY? My '77 Ford F150 has had a built '70 460 (515 HP) in it since '86. Never one problem.

Well... That was an odd match up
How bout it!
@@RACEYOURRIDE awesome truck.
I had a mint condition 74 f350 super camper special with a 390 many years ago, it was a monster!
Git sum
No weight on the back hardly.
Cool, but I thought it was gonna beat the Camaro. Nope-nope. It didn't.
Low 12s whf !! Lacrosse here !! I'm sure it's faster now ..
