I'm a body and painter, and I must say, who ever did the prep and paint work, got this land yacht straight, and flat! Very high end machine! 65' impala my favorite year, but this 67' is the epitome of nice!
You should see a buddy of mines mid 60's nova.black with the real looking flames on it did it himself.hes a paint and body man plus works as a mechanic in a meat factory
In a sea of red, white and black drag cars, it's nice to see something that looks so period correct, right down to the complimenting vinyl roof giving this car a two-tone appearance. Stunning.
This fucking guy! He took a literal 2 ton vehicle, (4,000 lbs) that looks like a damn show car, and made it run 7s! This is the shit they should show you in grade school when they tell you "you can do anything" hats off to this crazy SOB!
Peter Hart Heck yeah they're muscle cars. Impala SS was a bad car. I had a couple of Impala's, but nothing like this monster. This has a ton of money in it. Even the Impala station wagons were fast. They came with 427's. Take the kids for ice cream and get there fast.
Yes. The 307 was GM’s replacement for their “Baby block”. It’s basically a 283-stroker. A 283-block, fitted with a 327 crank. GM/Chevrolet was no longer producing both 283, and 327 “mouse” motors. It was proving counter-productive by producing both. The 307 was produced with a 9-1 “flat-top piston, and a Rochester 2-barrel carburetor, and had a factory HP rating of 200. However, 283 induction parts (4-barrel intake and carbs) are interchangeable.
@@thevmanvj I had a 67 SS. I put a jet motor in mine and the chick's dig me. The motor came out of the lunar module that landed on the moon. My dad knew a guy that worked there. Man those were the days, right? Jet fuel was cheap and we would cruise with hot chick's every night.
I had the 68 Impala 2 door custom original 327 with only 63000 miles on it it was my first car it was a large jernal small block turbo fire came with 285hp had alot of power to be so big, but when i had it rebuilt it had to be borred out 0.60 over just with flat top pistons lanaughty cam and lifters flow tech headers stage 2 flow masters brand new 750 holly 4 barrel carb. It sounded bad ass and none of it was a huhe upgrade only about mid range parts but it kicked the hp way up so much the front end would come off the ground registerd only 140 but had pleanty if petal left after 15years i traded it for a drag car like a fool POS 96 trans am LT1 350 hooker headers a lot of expsensive shit on it the best you could buy i drove it home about an hour away got it to the track to see whag it would do ot was so slow my impala would have left it jn the dust but befors i got to 100mph FINALLY it slung a rod throught the oil pan so he got my first car a sentimental csr from me for free basically i had 25grand in that car i sold it with blown motor for 500$ guy begged for it i was so mad then come to find the title was fake!! Took the tag office 3weeks to find out it matched the car but it didnt exist total fake i got screwed! A year later his name was jn the paper wanted for title fraud like 5 counts i hope he rots in prison!! I was young still had just got married and had 2 kids what kinda pos would do somthing like that!!
That 1230 HP figure is almost certainly on motor only. He appears to be running 2 stages of nitrous so guessing the car is probably making around 1500-1600 at the tire.
Lopez builds good stuff.......and big cars are always sexy......but one really has to give credit to those whose build and race the big cars......its hard to be competitive with all that weight.....Scavo's impala was ALWAYS fun to watch.......but I think the 67 is the ''swoopiest'' of all.....
I'm a Ford guy and 63 Galaxies are my favorite from this era, but this 67 Impala is one incredible piece of heavy metal.

@@marvinrollinsjr.9979 Not my car but a big block has a sound of it's own and I assume it's the rockers not sure
I had a 67 Bel Air it was my first car. This one's a little faster than mine,it had a 283 with a 2 speed Powerglide.
I had three 1968 impala's. All of them had a 305 with powerglide.
307?????
Yes. The 307 was GM’s replacement for their “Baby block”.
It’s basically a 283-stroker.

I wonder if that's Bill Wagners old Ehite Lightning that went to chicago many years ago
How to you have a 67 Impala such as this beast in 2016 and not paint it black and name it BEYOND NATURAL ?
That 2nd run was faster than the camera man
Alot of nice cars and really fast and fun but alot of money.
Nice car😎

I had a 67 caprice 283 2 barrel with factory 4 speed , almost as fast as this car!
ROBERT HEINKEL doubt it put down over 800 hp like this engine does stock.
No way.
Darren Small it's a joke
lmao what a piece .
yeah right in your dreams i can understand that
Made my legs shake....
My mom had a 69 Impala, but I gotta admit folks, it wasn't as bad ass as this car is.

I had a 67 Chevy almost the same color
I have to ask a question. Why would a quarter mile strip have a down hill slope?
Shut off is uphill . Ive checked it firsthand
Hell yea!
Where do u get the 2 door fastback back glass?
MonsterGaming I thought the glass had an arch.
Also how well is your fiberglass hood holding up?
sweet car
