ASMR Jonie , Most influential band ? Seriously ??? Just becuase, they were popular in their time to the masses it doesn't mean they were the best or most influential... Are you even a musician?? Your telling that drummers world wide were more inspired by Ringo than prodigies such as Keith Moon or John Bonham?? That they were more inspired by Lennon than gods Jimmy Page or Clapton??? Or on vocals they were more inspired by McCartney than by Mercury or Robert Plant ???? Come on ... Go ask any pro musician who were they influenced by. Be sure most of them won't even mention non of these boy band overrated goons.

Depressive Progressive Dude, The Beatles is the most influental band, not because of each individual members instrumental skills, but because of the music they made (The Beatles' boyband phase was over by 1966). Albums like Rubber Soul, Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band were really innovative for their time. Plenty of bass players site Paul McCartney as an important influence.

Depressive Progressive Yes, they are the most influential band of all time you idiot lol , you dont have to be a virtuoso guitar player or drummer to make good music, the beatles revolutionised music and were ahead of their time, by the way paul mccartney is a top 10 bassist and could play almost any instrument so wtf are you talking about. Lennon and mccartney are the greatest songwriters of all time. The beatles changed music, they introduced new studio recording techniques, they made the first concept album "sgt peppers", members of pink floyd would be the first to tell you that without sgt pepper there would be no dark side of the moon. And boy band?? Since when did boy bands play instruments you dummy, just because females wet them selves when they seen them doesn't make them a fucking boyband

Bands these days take 8 years to release two albums and a world tour. When you think about what the accomplished from the end of 1962 till the late summer of 1969 you simply cannot deny The Beatles were a very special band of people. Even if you claim to not like them you WILL (at the very least) like 1 of their songs. Whether you know its their song, its a cover of one of their song or its been in your fav movie/TV show. They are everywhere and will continue to be unbeaten. Thankfully, I LOVE them.

Considering what the music industry requires from artists today. Radio stations pay to play their music and artists get money from being living advertisements. They aren't flexible and instead of taking advantage of today's technology, they fight against it. Melanie Martinez makes a music video for each of her songs and Chance the Rapper was the first to win 3 Grammy's without ever selling physical copies of his music. Plus, you have 20 writers for one song. The circumstances are different today, so it's kinda hard to compare.

I went to see Paul McCartney in 2016 and I know my life was forever changed by that experience, no matter how far back in the nosebleeds I was. I get emotional even thinking of that concert, and I haven't been able to listen to Hey Jude without crying since that night. The whole band was one of a kind and I don't think we've seen anything like it since. I'm definitely gonna be playing the Beatles when my future children are in the womb.

Hey Bulldog seems to have come alive more recently but i liked it when I first heard it. Top 10 picks here are great but I couldn't make those choices. It was surprising though as It sort of covered their recording career as a band. The only recording they made that I dislike is Revolution # 9 from the White Album. Because of the Beatles I listen to other music as well. Could I pick a favourite Beatle, sure there is only one choice - all four. Imagine that!

Thank you so much for continuing to feature this unbelievably inspirational band on your channel! Knowing that your team is sharing iconic and essential information about The Beatles and that it’s reaching a large audience because your huge platform is truly a blessing. :)
Fave Beatles Factoid: In the early days, Paul would take John’s Buddy Holly glasses without warning and wear them all day long. Despite this, it would take John the entire day to figure out where they were before he’d yell, “MACCA!”
Yup, I am now doing the impossible...here’s my Top 10 Beatles Songs! (It changes all the time, but here’s where it stands at the moment):
    10. “Help!”
    9. “All You Need Is Love”
    8. “Golden Slumbers”
    7. “Something”
    6. “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”
    5. “The Long And Winding Road”
    4. “Hey Jude”
    3. “Yesterday”
    2. “In My Life”
    Honorable Mentions:
    “I Will”
    “Within You Without You”
    “Eleanor Rigby”
    “Tomorrow Never Knows”
    “Because”
    “Martha My Dear”
    “Julia”
    1. “Let It Be”
And finally, my favorite solo Beatle song would definitely have to be “Here Today” by Paul McCartney. :)

  • @david_g_barron
    @david_g_barron 6 лет назад +8

    Side way Beatles fact:
The Beatles chose The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band to perform on Magical Mystery Tour. Originally shown on BBC1 on Boxing Day/26th December 1967, the same day the Bonzos also appeared in a new series of a “Children’s” show called Do Not Adjust Your Set that was made by Rediffusion for the ITV Network.
Performers on Do Not Adjust Your Set included Michael Palin, Terry Jones and Eric Idle and later on Terry Gilliam, who later formed Monty Python. A decade later as Pythons had trouble getting Life of Brian funded, George Harrison stepped in, remortaged his Friar Park Mansion twice so that Life of Brian could be made, so that George Harrison could see the film, and as Terry Gilliam stated it was the most expensive cinema ticket in history.

For all the “real fans” and the people saying that the Beatles wanted to make “real” music but couldn’t because of they’re ‘crazed’ female fandom. That forced them to only produce and release the style of song that was most popular. (Yet all their music even, their releases during those most mainstream moments, has stood the test of time which is “real music” 101). You should be proud and happy for the artists you care for so much for that, you’re somehow one of their rare “real fans”, as it’s a testament of their greatness and your “rare great taste” since you like being rare so much. Because that’s what happens with talented icons. Why?, because Females are the most sought out demographic in mainstream entertainment because of how dedicated and proactive they are. So those crazed fan girls or the female pre teen/teen demographic as they’re more formally known as is the most profitable and is the demographic that makes an entertainer go from popular to legendary and makes their legacy historical. (One direction, coldplay, Rolling Stones, etc all have gone through the crazed teen phase except kpop where the phase is just your permanent fan base outside of Asia. By the end of all the mania, true talent get their dues paid like the Beatles have over the past 3 decades. Best of all it’s free marketing. None of which quite which would have happened without that crazed fandom period that caused them to impact things outside of music and even outside the entertainment industry. (E.g Lennons death leading to investigation privacy policy and public liaison guidelines being reformed. Due to how the media coverage of criminals murderers specifically was becoming a common motive like it was for johns killer. This reform did largely work till social media came along now criminals can film themselves and let the internet do the rest). Beatles fan girls was the mainstreams first experience of Stan culture and the most famous first example of “going viral” all of this made them the first blueprint for a global pop star. Which no one has achieved to their standard showing once again why they’re so great regardless of type of fans. It has however been refined to the point labels are creating their own musical stars now (industry plants) to the point that each major record label has at least 2 or 3 of them all varying in successes but none even 1% close to the Beatles mainly because of the crazed fan girls. They are probably the most important marketing tool and they don’t cost a penny. But because of that you can’t fake them. Takes years, the beyhive didn’t form overnight.
