Personally I think Comfortably Numb should have been #1. Wish you were here is one of my favorite songs, but gilmour's guitar solo on Comfortably Numb is the greatest solo of all time
1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond 2. Echoes 3. Time 4. Wish You Were Here 5. Dogs 6. Comfortably Numb 7. Welcome To The Machine 8. Money 9. The Trial 10. One Of These Days
Um, no it's not. It's really considered by many Pink Floyd FANS as one of the best, if not THE best song on the album. The reason it's not on this list is because they were ranking songs that only the four members made. And the reason I all capped FANS is because an actual PF fan would know that Great Gig is NOT underrated. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
It's really hard to make a top 10 about Pink Floyd, ranking their songs is impossible. I understand people who prefer the magical soul of Echoes or Shine on You Crazy Diamond, cool songs like Money or Another Brick In The Wall, epic songs like High Hopes, Dogs or Pigs Three Different Ones. But my personal top 3 would be 3- Time 2- Wish You Were Here 1- Comfortably Numb (favourite song)
For me (and it is tough to rank floyd songs): 1) Time 2) Fearless 3) One of These Days 4) Shine On You Crazy Diamond 5) Have a Cigar 6) Young Lust 7) Wish You Were Here 8) Comfortably Numb 9) Careful With That Ax Eugene 10) Dogs 11) Us and Them 12) Money 13) Set the Controls For the Heart of the Sun 14) Cymbaline 15) Pillow of Winds
+Layla Rose haha im 17, and my friend showed me this band almost 2 years ago, and then i was like... wait i think i know these songs, and it turned out that my mother was listening to them in the truck when i was young
my mom hates any type of rock lol. She even yelled at me for playing black hole sun by Soundgarden because she said it was full of 'screaming'. my dad on the other hand loves all types of music other than country.
My top 10 would be 1. Dogs 2. Time 3.brain damage/eclipse 4. Wish you were here 5. Fearless 6. Comfortably numb 7. Mother 8. Pigs 9. Welcome to the machines 10. See emily play
@Major Procrastinator i presume you mean because they said the original line up? They also had keep talking in the honourable mentions so maybe that is why he asked where high hopes was, considering its on the same album. Just a thought

If you're talking about "Pigs:Three Different Ones",it's actually my favorite Pink Floyd Song and I think it's criminally underrated just for the message it tell us!
1 - Echoes 2 - Time 3 - Shine On You Crazy Diamond 4 - A Saucerful Of Secrets (Live At Pompeii) 5 - One Of These Days 6 - Careful With That Axe Eugene 7 - On The Run 8 - Speak To Me / Breathe 9 - Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun 10 - Dogs
Echoes is boring it’s like roundabout or like free bird there long and complex but the different echoes relies to much on sounds and not enough on instruments free bird and roundabout have changed hooks and variety
+Andrew Becker Echoes is their 1st real breakthrough. After Syd's departure, they were left with no songwriter/lyricist. They spent the next few years searching themselves and had no real direction, experimenting with more or less successful psychedelic stuff. Echoes marks the first time the group actually worked all together as a band on a project. They found their their direction. I personally think it should have been ranked #1, or at least make the top 3!

My top 10 (knowing that all PF songs are equally perfects): 1) Echoes 2) Time 3) Shine On you Crazy Diamond (full) 4) Hey You 5) Dogs 6) High Hopes 7) The final cut 8) One of these days 9) Brain damage/eclipse 10) Wish you were here God, this was so hard to do :c

I must be the only one who is absolutely entranced by A Pillow in the Winds off Meddle. it's probably my favorite song of all time. number 2 is Echoes, 3 Hey You.
"Hey You" is not only my favourite Pink Floyd song, it is my favourite song of all time! My favourite songs of Pink Floyd are: High Hopes Dogs Hey You Shine On You Crazy Diamonds Keep Talking Us and Them Another Brick in The Wall Wish you Were Here The post War Dream Time

I own every studio album, every demo collection, over 200 bootlegs and picture discs of Pink Floyd. I cannot choose a favorite because their sound and purpose for each official release is different and perfect in their own way. I love other bands too but Pink Floyd will always be at the top of my list when it comes to Classic Progressive rock, so glad I found them over forty years ago.
I get that feeling with every album from Atom Heart Mother to The Wall. No filler on PF albums, everything belongs and is right where it should be. That shows enormous respect for the fans.
"since the last two songs of dark side of the moon weeve together"
boi the whole album is weeved together
Moo
I mean, not like Brain Damage and Eclipse which are basically a single song
@@bruce000000070000000 I consider Money and Us And Them to be a messy conglomerate
At least Any Color you Like-Brain Damage-Eclipse, if not the whole album
Its like ranking christopher nolan scenes. Like why not rank the movies?
Honorable Mention: Every other song they wrote.
Mike Wa why not?
Besides On the Run. That song is soooo boring.
According to Prophecy i like on the run, that whole album is great
Mike Wa I, sir, am your 500th "Like." Well-done. 👍
Mike Wa honestly shocked us and them wasn't on this list. One of the most amazing songs they ever made.
Pink Floyd didn't really make songs they made albums
You should rank their albums instead
so true
It must be a top 5 or something
Animals is still my favorite. But all of them are great
@@bradgale9967 when you posted this i was hearing that album
100%
the fact that Us and Them isnt here is a criminal offense
UAT is their most underrated song
👍
Agreed
And high hopes
This is pink floyd we’re talking about
You can not rank Pink Floyd-Songs.... Every single one is special and amazing in its own way
+yip Man except for echoes, echoes stands out from the rest.
+Seteo992 agreed such a great song
So true indeed.
+yip Man Everyone writes shit, even geniuses
Exactly! They were ALBUMS, not individual songs. They were meant to be savored all together.... especially Pink Floyd, early Yes, and Jethro Tull.
Hard for me to listen to a Pink Floyd song. I end up having to listen to whole albums at a time....
Saaame
Saaame
haha true, even though i think they are meant to be listened all at once
same here it is better to listen to the whole album than listening one song per album
Paul Parker why would you just eat one chip anyways?
Seems like I’m in the minority but I absolutely love Breathe
Low key my fav
Same the lyrics are genius
Then I'm also in the minority
Count me in the minority.
Yea only one above it for me is wish you were here
You don't listen to Pink Floyd songs. You listen to Pink Floyd albums.
Never seen anything as true as this
Faxxxxx
This is how you know a true fan from a causal listener
Pink floyd law asf
You don’t listen to Pink Floyd’s music. You experience it.
Here’s the real list after studying the numbers of each album and songs charted
1. Pink Floyd
That bout covers it all
Brandon Gallo
Every pink Floyd fan should love each other
Brandon Gallo Dark Side of the Moon was on the charts for 743 weeks. That’s why in mind it’s the greatest album of all time.
Yeah I think that is the list that all of us pink floyd fans go by.
*Floydians*
Mine will be
3. Dave era (1987-2004-2014)
2. Syd era (1967 to 1970)
1. Water era (1971 to 1983)
Have a Cigar is soooo underrated
And Young Lust
Have a cigar is such a groovy song. Still it's probably the third best song on wish you were here because it's such a good album.
Have a Cigar is my personal favorite from Pink Floyd
That solo is amazing.
MushroomVortex btw which ones pink. Lol
You just can't rank pink floyd songs from 10 to 1.
Every song is a history!!
True
exactly well said
My thought exactly😂 Every Pink Floyd song is the greatest song of all time. There will never be a greater band
Dogs.... is a Real UNDERRATED Masterpiece
Animals*
THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SAYING THE WHOLE VIDEO!!!
@@Somewhere_Bagel Sheep is nowhere near Dogs.
@@magic_asap I didn't say sheep. Just said the album as a whole
@@Somewhere_Bagel I know that. But the album as a whole doesn't do justice. Some of the songs aren't nearly as good as others.

Meddle and Animals both are very under rated
Echoes is probably the greatest song in the history of the planet Earth and probably some other planets

Even in the underworld.
it is still the greatest song here in the afterlife 😹🙈

It was recorded after Waters left the band, so it doesn't meet the list's criteria.

Where is high hopes? It's legendary.
But they seemed to forget that when they came up with honorable mentions (Keep Talking)
It's one of their worst. The lyrics are drivel

Dogs will always have to be top 3 of Pink Floyd
Great list
Nomás te faltó Echoes muchachón :D pero es el mejor top
Why nothing from the Barrett era? Neither here nor on the video? Why? Where is interstellar overdrive or astronomy do mine? 🤔
Personally
I think Comfortably Numb should have been #1. Wish you were here is one of my favorite songs, but gilmour's guitar solo on Comfortably Numb is the greatest solo of all time
Fender Boy yea , his solo is insane
Fender Boy Us and Them is fantasticly beautiful.
Fender Boy that’s true, but there are so many other songs that are just as great. true pink floyd fans have no #1
What about Shine On You Crazy Diamond or Time's solo?
Nope.Time's solo is the best one
>"original line up"
>no syd era songs
Jude Griffin My fav from Syd era were Astronomy Domine, Lucifer Sam, Flaming, Matilda Mother, See Emily Play, etc
Jude Griffin
Who needs logic right?
Jude Griffin Yeah. That's the irony of it.
And they had keep talking in honourable mentions
Syd was only in The Piper Gates and in a few songs of the Saucerful of Secrets. The band has more than 15 albums. So what's the original line up?
1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond
2. Echoes
3. Time
4. Wish You Were Here
5. Dogs
6. Comfortably Numb
7. Welcome To The Machine
8. Money
9. The Trial
10. One Of These Days
Teodor Recabarren finally someone mentions the trial
3/4 song album Wish You Were Here
Wtf, where High Hopes?
Agreed
no us and them?
A Great Gig in the Sky is criminally underrated.
JabbaFett Final Cut, also...
Factssssss easily I'm my top 10
that is correct giorno
Um, no it's not. It's really considered by many Pink Floyd FANS as one of the best, if not THE best song on the album. The reason it's not on this list is because they were ranking songs that only the four members made. And the reason I all capped FANS is because an actual PF fan would know that Great Gig is NOT underrated.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
its not that good
Time is #1 in my heart
is the greatest song
Same
TheGamingRaccoon same
TheGamingRaccoon too same
Time is the greatest song ever made in my heart.
Shine on you crazy diamond is the absolute best for me
Same dude
Kristóf Kormos YESS
Oh yes is the best song in the World
Kristóf Kormos same
has the best guitar piece of all time imo
It's really hard to make a top 10 about Pink Floyd, ranking their songs is impossible. I understand people who prefer the magical soul of Echoes or Shine on You Crazy Diamond, cool songs like Money or Another Brick In The Wall, epic songs like High Hopes, Dogs or Pigs Three Different Ones.
But my personal top 3 would be
3- Time
2- Wish You Were Here
1- Comfortably Numb (favourite song)
They are my personal favourites aswell
Yeah lucifer sam is so underrated and atom mother heart too
For me (and it is tough to rank floyd songs):
1) Time
2) Fearless
3) One of These Days
4) Shine On You Crazy Diamond
5) Have a Cigar
6) Young Lust
7) Wish You Were Here
8) Comfortably Numb
9) Careful With That Ax Eugene
10) Dogs
11) Us and Them
12) Money
13) Set the Controls For the Heart of the Sun
14) Cymbaline
15) Pillow of Winds
Fearless is so underrated
Wtf, where is High Hopes?
Hey you? Wtf
Fearless is a favorite of mine too
I see a more enjoyer
High Hopes anyone? This song makes me daydream!
I love your profile pic, im a soad fan too
+Layla Rose soad for life!
lol i have been a fan literally all my life(im fourteen).
My top 10 would be
1. Dogs
2. Time
3.brain damage/eclipse
4. Wish you were here
5. Fearless
6. Comfortably numb
7. Mother
8. Pigs
9. Welcome to the machines
10. See emily play

AnyColourYouLike same
Brandon Turcotte SEE EMILY PLAY. A true fan
Fearless is amazing nice to see someone mention it
Have you heard us and them
About Shine On You Crazy Diamond:
Whether it’s *Gilmour’s lyrics* and guitar playing, Rick Wrights keyboard, *Waters’s bass skills*...
Oh boy.
Caught that too, eh? Waters lyrics, and on the album Waters vocals, and I believe Gilmour did some of the bass parts.
Us and them: am I a joke to you?
Love that one.
Yeah this list needed it

Where the hell is High Hopes?
I guess you had *high hopes* for this list...
@Major Procrastinator i presume you mean because they said the original line up? They also had keep talking in the honourable mentions so maybe that is why he asked where high hopes was, considering its on the same album. Just a thought
*GILMIE DETECTED*
@Captain Lazypants calm the fuck down you sad son of a bitch
Captain Lazypants yh mate but keep talking was in the honourable mentions...

Without Glimour?
How about "Without Syd"?
WatchMojo: Number 7: Echoes
Me: [Visible Confusion]
Echoes is boring it’s like roundabout or like free bird there long and complex but the different echoes relies to much on sounds and not enough on instruments free bird and roundabout have changed hooks and variety
@@j0an-07-arc6 That's why it's progressive rock...
Echoes is #1 for me.... Every thing else is good and moved back a spot
Moses Masingila
+Andrew Becker Echoes is just unbeatable, 23 minutes of pure masterpiece.
ArsenalEcho Kind of, Roger Waters had been songwriting from the piper at the gates of dawn era
+ArsenalEcho I get that but...Atom Heart Mother Suite was their star track between their 2nd and 6th albums
Greatest band of the 70s
*****
Just No. 2 ;)

What a shame to overlook such an unforgettable masterpiece like "Breathe".

what a terrible list
Why is nobody talking about Atom Heart Mother Suite?? That's a true masterpiece!
yes
They didn't mention a single song prior to Meddle.
@@CraftySouthpaw That's a shame. No one pays attention on Syd's era.

No welcome to the machine? Careful with that axe Eugene? Atom heart mother? Alan’s psychedelic breakfast? Lucifer Sam?
It's watch mojo you can't blame them
watch mojo doesnt know how to be based

I own every studio album, every demo collection, over 200 bootlegs and picture discs of Pink Floyd. I cannot choose a favorite because their sound and purpose for each official release is different and perfect in their own way. I love other bands too but Pink Floyd will always be at the top of my list when it comes to Classic Progressive rock, so glad I found them over forty years ago.
The first time you listen to the entire Dark Side of the Moon album, and you hear it all just end with those last 2 songs, it's just like: "Whoa."
I get that feeling with every album from Atom Heart Mother to The Wall. No filler on PF albums, everything belongs and is right where it should be. That shows enormous respect for the fans.
The first album that made me see the album as more than just a collection of songs.
