- Hello, cutie patootie! Today, I have a lovely, ocean inspired, crochet cardigan that I think you're going to adore! This Adventurous Beginner level, top-down, crochet pattern features a relaxed, loose fit and is the perfect layering piece for any time of the year!

Good morning, Chandi! The beach is a very special place for me. For years, my mom, my sister, and I spent a week at the beach every summer. My mom died 7 years ago, but my sister and I have continued our yearly trips to the beach. The first year we went after my mom had died, we experienced something very special! We were sitting on the balcony of our condo. I looked up at the clouds and right above us was a huge heart-shaped cloud! It was a perfect, valentine shaped cloud! I called my sister's attention to it and we both cried. I know without a doubt it was from God telling us our mother's love was still with us and reminding us too of his unending love.❤ I'm sorry this was so long, but I just had to share! Thank you for all you do!
The salty spray, sound and power of the waves, and seagull calls are what i love about the ocean.
I will forever love the ocean, I served in the Navy and being on the ocean gave me so much peace when I could just listen to the waves and then being able to see the dolphins and whales and flying fish were just so amazing! It’s so beautiful to see at night too with the moon and stars ❤

as a child my mother took myself and a friend to York Beach Maine for a weeks vacation - still my favorite beach even though after I got married we lived 12 miles from Hampton Beach NH, my husband and I would travel up to York Beach (about 45 minutes away). I find the ocean full of fun filled memories of my mom who passed away in 2015, the ocean is peaceful, full of tranquility and the waves are calming and love listening to the waves. The ocean waters whether a small ripple or a larger wave that crashes down against the sandy beach or rocks has such a calming effect. I love watching the ocean, and specially the Atlantic around Bar Harbor, Maine. My husband and I have gone there frequently on vacation, and sitting and watching the sun set over the ocean is one of the most relaxing things in the world!
We live far from the ocean, so when we visit a coastal areas with our kids, it's super special. We love to pick up shells from the beach and keep them in a large shell vase, and display some in shadow boxes in our homeschool classroom. This yarn is, as you would say, scrumptious looking! The deserts may dry up and rock formations may shift, but the ocean is a constant. No matter how many years have gone by it’s still the same when you go back to visit. I don’t know if it counts, but I love the sand as much as the waves. Feeling it squish between my toes is the best. I don’t think anyone can feel miserable walking along a shore picking up pretty shells along the way. It’s the best therapy and it’s free.
