Oh my goodness Stu, that is going to turn you inside out. By the way do you ever get any sleep! The 409 squadron has a nice tone to it, stay safe. Keep em coming.
Wow! What kind of performance numbers are you anticipating with an engine that size, Stu? I'm still working on getting down to 180 since you told me I'd have trouble shoehorning my 200lb lard ass into a -4. Just had a thought -- with an engine that size, are you anticipating an increase in useful load? If so, from what to what? Does this plane have standard fuel tanks?
Yup standard fuel tank although I’ll make it possible to carry and aux tank. The engine is same dimensions and weights as a standard parallel valve engine so no concern
Wow!! That 4 is gonna be a rocket!

Best hornet sqn.... that's debatable!
Shots fired! 😂

I’d like to cruise north of 180 kts. Should be easy with CS prop
Can't wait to hear those cruise numbers.
That’s a lot! What RPM is it limited to? Didn’t the lycoming 375 and 400 get recalled? What’s the track record with the 409?
Standard 2700 rpm
The 400 made room by grinding part of case for clearance which I think was the issue. The 409 uses different cam to make the clearance.
Is that a Titan crank or an ACE crank for this stroker conversion?
ACE. Why do you ask?
@@stusaircraftfactory6592 I have yet to see a real life ACE engine go past 30hrs - I look forward to hearing from your experience.
@@ZebulonAirRacing Engine is built by best there is and they like the product.
@@stusaircraftfactory6592 the best there is? Barrett, Lycon or Thunderbolt?
Nice Stu. Special from Lycoming? or reworked by third party?
Built by one of the Masters of aircraft engines - privately
what speed will reach?
Cruise 180 kts plus I hope
@@stusaircraftfactory6592 wowwww that’s amazing 😉
