Goodness knows we do not need one more fitness influencer with washboard abs. 99% of us just want to be in a healthy range and feel good. I don't want the restrictive, consuming lifestyle required to maintain that kind of physique. You are realistic and relatable.

I've realized actually that my sleep was an issue. I became sleep deprived for quite a while, and because of that I just didn't have the energy to move much....I used to exercise 20 mins in the morning, work standing after lunch, and get lots done throughout the day, but plateaued after not doing so much due to sleep deprivation. Thanks be to God I have been able to modify my schedule such that now I get enough sleep regularly, and thanks to that I have the energy again to get back to moving at least as much as I used to, and am back to losing weight again. Sleep is so important! And thank you for this video!

I plateaued for 5 months and finally managed to break it a few weeks ago and it’s such a great feeling. The fact that I managed to maintain for all those months when I felt unmotivated instead of gaining it back, I’m really proud of myself. Progress not perfection for the win! 🥳 X

I plateau (or fluctuate between the same 5 lbs) now for a whole year. I still want to lose at least 15 lbs and it is nagging me. But I think I totally underestimate my evening meal and my snacks as well as my weekends. So time to get serious about those 3 things.

'They would disappear into nothing and eventually die'. Classic Chelsea! I'm about to watch this video but I've already given it a thumbs up because your videos never disappoint, and I learn something from every one of them. God bless you and your lovely family, Chelsea.
p.s. Yes, as I thought! I've just watched this video and once again I'm dancing in my mind! I became vegan two months ago. I lost weight quickly at first, about a stone and a half in 5 weeks (mind you, I have an awful lot to lose). I've been on a frustrating plateau for three weeks. The reason, I see now, is that I gave myself permission to have a large chocolate bar and 4 glasses of wine every Saturday. I have been sabotaging my efforts without realising it. I didn't think one day a week would make much difference. After listening to this video I am now ready to come down from that plateau, because I now acknowledge that one day a week DOES make a difference. Calorie deficit is the way, the only way, to lose weight and get fitter and healthier. Thanks again, Chelsea. You really are a star!

I love when this happens, it makes me take a break to let the body balance at this weight. Then the weight takes hold and then I start to lose again. It is like walking up a tough hill, then it flattens out. I get to rest. Then I can keep climbing and I have the energy to move on. It is not always a bad time. I am 58 lbs down and it has been a long journey but that is okay too.

My leak is a daily square of chocolate which can turn into two and then three. Eating out is ok. We do it so often I know what I can eat in various places. Also the ‘sprinkles’ on my smoothie bowl. I have to weigh those. Anything calorie dense tends to be addictive.

This was such a great video! I think I actually got a bit too thin and gained 15 pounds back. I find it helpful to see my maintenance calories on an online TDEE calculator to get a feel of how much to eat/move for a deficit. Losing 5 pounds is what I’m working on.

Funny how this resonates with me at the moment. I lost nearly 40 Kilos really fast and now I do not loose any more. I wear a fitness watch and I was a little bit shocked about how few calories I really burn at this weight. I decided to give myself a little bit time free this fast trip and then loosing the last few Kilos by get more movement in my life.

The end bit I really needed to hear. I have been all whole foods, and very happy with the food making sure there is a variety - no oil, processed foods, nuts or baked goods and I went up a kilo. So now I force myself to eat raw fruit and veg all day and I have a salad plus cooked veggies, legumes and grains or starches at night but I am so hungry the rest of the time that I feel grumpy. This time I am losing weight and I am surprised how little I am motivated to get up and make something to eat when it is raw compared to how much motivation I have for cooked food. My stomach is shrinking so by the time dinner comes around I get pains from the bulk of the food and have to go lie down...then I am hungry two hours later and have to wait it out. Interestingly, I am never hungry in the morning when I wake up until about 9-10 am, and when I do eat fruit or a carrot, I feel my hunger switch off quite quickly. I am feeling annoyed I will miss out on that yummy cooked food if I were going really slow compared to eating all raw which I don't enjoy as much and getting thinner faster lol

Loved this video so much. So so helpful.
Would LOVE to see a video on your macro journey, I find it fascinating as a wfpb eater when people tweak ratios. Also wondering if it was purely sticking to nutrient profile or if it also involved a calorie number to stick to!
Big calorie expenditure for me is just once a month....as I'm sure most women can understand!!!!! Also special occasions- Christmas just past, bdays, etc.
And it's not even necessarily junk, it's just more dense wfpbno items. I think for the last few kgs things like dry oats vs cooked really make a difference. My consistency is genuinely over 95%. Love being able to track this!
And yes yes yes pls re tweaking video too!!!!👏👏👏

Hi Chels. Love the video!! I’m wondering if you could do one about how you eat on a budget in these crazy times. Prices of produce here in Brisbane are absolutely insane right now and it becomes really hard to fill up your plate with non starchy veg when a bloody avocado is $4 and capsicums are $13 per kilo 😭

Maybe add more frozen veggies, if they're cheaper than the fresh ones? Shop at farmers markets. Buy larger amounts when there's good prices and then freeze/mealprep meals, soups etc and freeze them down.

Week-end wine and chips..starts Friday night. I try not to on Sunday, but often fail. My overall calories may still be fairly low because I fast most of the day when I do this :( wrong wrong I know. If during the weekdays I’m 100% whole food plant based, as in carbs and veg, with just 1 fruit on some days, do you consider the week a ´fail’ if the weekend has chips and wine or maybe 1 takeout?
