Thank you very much for showing performance of laptops in different tasks but not only in video editing. Because 99% of reviewers on youtube show only performance in video editing and photoshop tasks.
The ASUS P16 is a 4K+ display, not 3K. I think the option to get 64GB RAM and RTX 4070 gives the P16 more performance potential. And OLED outdisplays mini-LED. I just got it at max spec and I love it!
There is an option with the RTX 4070 and 64GB RAM on the Lenovo, at least where I live. Plus, it has a higher refresh rate display that is also brighter and Lenovo is a more trustworthy company than Asus at this time. Also cheaper.
@@VicariousAdventurerat least it lays flat I guess? I don't get why you'd use touch or pen on any device that can't fold into a tablet or at least a tent or something. Holding your arm out unsupported over your keyboard seems really awkward and not realistic for doing any continuous work.
There is at least one finger emulator pencil that at least works better than a finger (one side is even a narrow plastic disk where the active region is some nib holding the disk) - there are at least two that look similar, but I own only one (that seems the best bargain, as it has 2 sets of replacement tips) - A previous statement disappeared, probably due to "advertising," so this is a more generic statement.
Thank you for doing these. What i'm most interested in is the 3D modeling or sculpting performance of laptops, particularly with 3D Coat. I don't just mean some obscure number...but actually seeing it in action.
I'm confused... That P16 display should be 4K+ OLED 60Hz (unfortunately 😢). Other reviewers described the display as very dim at around 360-400 nits only, which makes me ask if you got another configuration than that. The Pro 9i's display on the other hand is mostly described as very bright at around 600 nits, you measured less than 400. Did you review the 2024 model and is this really pure panel lottery again? The bright mini led display would be a major plus to me.
I bought the ProArt P16 a week ago. I like it so far, but I am still a little unimpressed. Do you know why Zoom would be slow and glitchy? I upgraded from my gen 6 Lenovo X1 carbon (GREAT computer, no problems) to the Lenovo X1 carbon gen 11 and returned it because it performed worse than my gen 6! Now I switched to the ASUS proART P16 and it's nice, but I'm still not blown away. I expect new computers to be flawless and super fast. Am I doing something wrong with the setup?
Someting that needs to be included in these reviews is Asus lack of care for their clients and their repair policies. I will not be buying another Asus until they change things.
This is such an underrated topic. Remember folks when you buy a laptop you're not only buying the device, you're buying the manufacturer.. customer service, fair financing, premiun care coverage ALL matter in the purchasing decision.
@@nosuchthing8 can share some details? I need a new laptop and Im a product designer and do a lot of CAD and rendering. I was leaning towards the Asus. I've had a dell xps 15 which was awful and overheats doing basic tasks. I've had a lenovo which only lasted 1 year. My most recent laptop was a Razer blade 15 2020 base model and it had battery bloat twice within one year and Razer's customer service was the worst. I was going to give a Asus a try but it sounds like Asus is as bad as the rest.
@@nosuchthing8 Asus has a problem of not honoring warrenties. You send stuff in with an RMA and they will send you a bill for repairing stuff you did not want repaired with a 3 day time limit. With my Zepherus 14, I was luckily able to get Best Buy to fix it. Pn the other hand with my daughters Flow 13, they fixed it right away when the USB C failed. A quick google of Asus repair issues will find tons of examples. And until they fix it, I will not give them any money.
G16 with 4080 vs P16 Also any lunar lake vs P16…but I’m only aware of 14” models available so far, ideally would like a 2.8k to 3k 16” oled model with lunar lake…..curious about how much performance you’d lose for things like video exports in Resolve (forget any tests to do with Adobe, I would not touch Adobe with a 40ft barge pole anymore), vs any gains in battery life…..is the trade off worth it?….bit of an odd comparison maybe though.
I'm hesitating between these two models! The Proart seems to have a lot of issues with the screen going black for a few seconds. Bad reviews. Would one of the two models be more reliable?

Aren't you afraid of burning the display, especially if you use programs with a static interior?!?

Oled vs mini-led is controversial, but I do like the 4K+ display, 200% resolution scaling all the way.

Really, though, the lack of a pen that works on the Yoga (really, a touchscreen that only works with a fat finger?!?!)
