How I learned to fly was my favorite goosebumps book of all time. It's not really scary, but it's very good writing and a good change of pace for the series.
I had almost the entire collection of Goosebumps when I was little, even had a big Goosebumps blacket that I loved. When we moved we store them into my older sister's shed for safe keeping along with my family other's stuff. She's religious and told me that rain got into the box I had them in and so she threw them all away. I pretty sure she saw the cover's and thought the devil was in them. A few did get rain in them, but I still would have read them. Older sister's are a pain!

It's just an idiot dude who takes it upon himself to defend the tomb from intruders. There's no suspense, no sensible story, and it just goes on and on and on forever going nowhere. I would say that the sequel, Return of the Mummy, is vastly superior to its predecessor. It starts off quite slow, but it gets suspenseful and even a little scary after a while. It definitely has much more of a traditional mummy story and that is what appealed to me so much.

I wouldn't say the abominable snowman was the "main character" of the movie. I think Slappy was supposed to be the main villain, the abominable snowman was just the first one unleashed from the books.
Most of the books like Vampire Breath, The Abominable Snowman Of Pasadena, Why I'm Afraid Of Bees, The Monster Blood Series, Return Of The Mummy and Ghost Beach are books that i liked.
Engineered Scientific Reasearch of Wild Animals Monster Blood was a good book, but the main character, Evan, is easily the most unlikable character of the whole series.
Monster Blood, The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb, Ghost Beach, and Vampire Breath were all in my top ten favourites! But I think Legend of the Lost Legend was my least favourite, I couldn’t even finish it.
So where does "Monster Blood IV" come in? It's not about Monster Blood at all, so did you prefer that one? By the way, "Legend Of The Lost Legend" SUCKS. It's just a tangent and then comes back to the Legend at the end. "Beware The Snowman" and "How I Learned To Fly" are pretty good. The latter has some more psychological fears and is great that way. The former is just pure fun, but the twist...yeah, saw that coming, but it's still a good twist nonetheless. And two words: snowman army.

Oh hay Zak I’m trying to get the give yourself books 16-42 but some of them are so rare here in the UK like hocus locus horror and alone in snake bite canyon are just so rare in the uk that they are scarce on eBay or they cost around 150£ each!!! But I was really lucky to get the 1st triple header book as I was able to have it shipped from the US so as a GB collector I dedicated myself to Goosebumps. Thanks to you and goosebumps Aussie fan

I remember one Christmas morning I unwrapped this big rectangle and it was three or four Goosebumps books, I had never heard of them before, so I was naturally like " what the hell? Books ? You're shitting me? I read them, and fell in love, everytime my parents would go to town I'd get a new one. Good good memories here. I had to have owned at least fifty of those fuckers at one point.and a good portion of the choose your own adventure books that came out a while later. That's truly a nice collection there, I wish I'd have saved mine.

I can see Vampire Breathe not making any sense because at the end where the kids just realized the vampire that was chasing them is their grandfather therefore they and their parents are vampires the whole time and how could they not know that like do they ever not see their reflections in mirrors or photos or feel any pulse?
I like RL Stine and I like his books more than Stephen King and I read almost every Goosebumps book. My first RL Stine book I read was Zombie Town and my first Goosebumps book was The Barking Ghost.

My Hairiest Adventure, Monster Blood III, and Chicken Chicken were terrible, in my opinion. Mainly Chicken Chicken was the worst of the 3 because the reason Vanessa put that chicken spell on Crystal and her brother was so retarded, and it only showed why the town or town kids thought of her as they did in the first place.
My least favorite has to be My Hairiest Adventure because it's one of the least scary in the series and I know the series isn't supposed to be scary all the way since it's for kids. But I found the plot kind of boring and stupid, and it doesn't really scare me with someone growing excessive hair all over their bodies.
Have to ask...how is your collection in such a good condition? And, if someone wanted to rebuild their collection, what's the best route to go? I'd like to have all 62 again with numbered spines and original covers. I have three right now, two of which are the yellow spine reprints with slightly different covers.

I had the original 62 as a kid, sold the whole set for about $30 as a teen, now as a 30 year old I'm collecting them again, only the retro covers mind you, the reprints are tacky in my opinion.

Funny how these are all the very first goosebumps books I read 😂
I just starting reading the goosebumps Series ( original ) and I love the first two books so far welcome to dead house and stay out of the basement are the ones I have read so far but as I have watch a lot of people least favorite goosebumps book chicken chicken has been on them all so far
