My top 5 goosebumps books are: 1.The curse of camp cold lake 2.Revenge of the lawn gnomes 3.Let's get invisible! 4.Night of the living dummy 5.Ghost next door
I remember being in elementary school and seeing those cover arts would always creep me out but I loved the art and colors and definitely enjoyed reading them
My favourite has to be "Attack of the Mutant" and "Beast from the east". It's been 10 years since I've read these two still the stories are as fresh in my mind as ever.
I remember getting the very first Goosebumps book Welcome to Dead House from one of those Scholastic book orders at school. The ones that were made out of cheap recycled paper. I read a lot of these books but I don't really remember them. I know I really enjoyed the first several books the most. I loved how the chapters always ended with "OH MY GOD THE MONSTER IS UNDER MY BED HOWLING LIKE A MANIAC!" and the next chapter starts with "Oh it's just my brother playing a trick on me"
Personal Top 10 Goosebumps books that I've read so far: 1. The Curse of Camp Cold Lake 2. The Haunted Mask 3. The Cuckoo Clock of Doom 4. Say Cheese and Die 5. One Day at HorrorLand 6. The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight 7. Let's Get Invisible 8. The Ghost Next Door 9. Night of the Living Dummy 10. The Blob That Ate Everyone Can't wait to read some of the ones you recommended like The Headless Ghost and Vampire Breath!
The Headless Ghost was actually my first Goosebumps book! I read it as a kid at my local library at the time. I then read basically all my library's Goosebumps books, so my mom went on Ebay and got me nearly all of the original books! They came in this big box and I read most of them. Later donated the box but man the memories of these amazing books still stick with me.
Goosebumps books are great, the first one I ever read was stay out of the basement when I was in second grade, and after that i just couldnt stop reading em!
Thanks for making such a comprehensive overview of all the books. Our childhoods are wrapped up in these stories, and it's a joy to go back and read so many of them. Just finished One Day at Horrorland about an hour ago :)
Maybe you can do the same with the series 2000? I'm currently rereading the original 62 since It's been a while since I read them but from the ones I read and remember You Can't Scare Me, I Live In Your Basement, The Werewolf Of Fever Swamp, The Girl Who Cried Monster, Say Cheese And Die and Monster Blood are at the top. I can't rank them yet to be honest I want to read them all first. I also remember loving The Headless Ghost but I can't remember the actual book that much only the twist lol. Vampire Breath was cool I read it recently but I have to be honest my favorite Goosebumps books are those that take place in a normal setting like someone's house or school that way I can see myself in the story since it's a normal setting those are the ones I remember loving particularly as a kid and now as an adult , that's why it didn't connect with me that much but it was a great vampire story. Sorry for the long comment I can't help myself when it comes to Goosebumps :)
I'm 34 Years Old & I'm getting Back into Goosebumps!. I have 13 Books I Saved from Recycling Bin. 11 Original Series, 1 Give Yourself Goosebumps & 1 More Tales to Give You Goosebumps!. 90's Kid For Life Baby!. ☮️
"The cried who cried monster"- definitely the scariest book of the series! You got the disturbing imagery part spot on, Mr Mortman (was it?, been 10+ years since I read it) was a damn monster sight for sure, specially the parts where he transforms into monster. Plain scary to read as a kid.
The headless ghost is definitely in my top 5. It was really creative and scary. The haunted school was also a very interesting one. My favorite one from the original series is a night in terror tower. That one is the scariest book I read just so intense.
Nice list! I like your style. You and I kinda have the same taste when it comes to Goosebumps.. I’ve been thinking about doing a top 62, but I’m pretty sure there’s still a few books of the original 62 that I haven’t read, but my top 10 of the ones I HAVE read is: #10: The Haunted Mask II #9: My Best Friend Is Invisible (Not so much the episode though lol) #8: Attack of the Jack O’Lanterns #7: Say Cheese And Die! #6: The Haunted Mask #5: The Headless Ghost #4: Welcome To Dead House #3: Ghost Camp #2: The Ghost Next Door #1: A Night In Terror Tower
I actually have top six favorite Goosebumps books. They are 6. The Blob That Ate Everyone. 5. The Haunted Mask. 4. How To Kill A Monster. 3. Night Of The Living Dummy 2. 2. Attack Of The Mutant. 1.The Abominable Snowman Of Pasadena.
My top 10 Goosebumps TV episodes are 1. Piano Lessons Can Be Murder 2. It Came from Beneath the Sink! 3. Welcome to Camp Nightmare 4. Say Cheese and Die-Again! 5. Vampire Breath 6. The Cuckoo Clock of Doom 7. Stay Out of the Basement 8. The Haunted Mask 9. One Day At HorrorLand 10. Let’s Get Invisible
These were my favorite my favorite books growing up. I literally loved collecting all the different series and volumes. I dreamt of having the full goosebumps collection someday unfortunately that was not quite possible but definitely one of the fondest memories of my childhood. The way you explained was quite good as well but maybe you could add more close up shots and explain the plot of some books as well.
in my opinion how to kill a monster is such an underrated book! The premise is great, so is the monster I just love it! I've only read the copy at my school librrary though, so I gotta buy a copy for myself
@@OliverCSeneca what’s the best way of getting them and making sure they are the same “edition”? If they don’t have the OG covers then I don’t want them lol
@@DeathBySeksy I feel you, it can be annoying not having a uniform set. I used eBay and was lucky enough to find half the original collection in one package. For the rest, I had to search for the OG copies individually from separate sellers. Sometimes you can find a seller selling the entire original set. Good luck!
After all these years, The Headless Ghost has been one of my favourite episodes (one of many lol), but I have never read the book! I guess I'll have to change that!
When I was in three or four class, I read the first book of “GOOSEBUMPS”: The Scarecrow walks at Midnight. I only read few pages of it and then gave the book to the library in my school. How funny it is? Because I knew, when I was small that Goosebumps books are kind of scary and if I read the whole book of The Scarecrow walks at Midnight, I wouldn't sleep properly and wouldn't go alone in the dark. Now I am in eight grade and I have conquered my fever. My sister brought a book of Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask and I read it. It was funny, scary and twist. I enjoyed the book. Then after a week, my sister brought another book from the library in her school and now it was the: The Living Dummy [1]. I guess part one. This book was the funniest book and scary too. I liked your video and thanks for showing the original books. Keep making more.
My favourite book is ghost beach. It is an underrated book. I checked through the comments and no one had it number one on their list. The way that R.L Stine wrote it is very creepy. And also, the twists in that book are crazy. Stine also indirectly revealed that after Brad and Agatha turned out to be ghosts, they murdered Jerry and Terri in a brutal way
Excellent video! Ghost Beach was the first Goosebumps book I read and got me hooked on reading books... but man, I remember reading The Haunted School (more than 20 years ago) and finding it way more creepier and haunting compared to other books in the series. I need to find it and reread it, lol
It’s been a while since I’ve read any goosebumps books, but I remember some of my favourites back when I was a kid were Ghost Camp, Welcome to Camp Nightmare and The Haunted School. I have all 62 original books, so maybe one day I’ll re-read them.
Phantom of the auditorium is my favourite, as a theatre kid who loves phantom of the opera. First time I read it, I assumed the homeless bloke was the original phantom, it wasn’t too much of a surprise that Brian was the phantom though.
Wow! I LOVE R.L. Stine's Goosebumps. I got 60 out of the 62 original Goosebumps books. The only two books I'm still after are book #61: I Live in Your Basement! and book #62: Monster Blood IV.
Out of all the ones I’ve read, Haunted Mask gotta be my favorite. It actually has a very scary tv adaptation that was the premiere for the Goosebumps show. But Night of the Living Dummy and Ghost Camp always kinda unsettled me. Definitely consumed more of the show and the HorrorLand books growing up tho.
Werewolf of fever swamp always scared the crap out of me. I still remember in the early 90s doing the puzzle on Halloween in the kitchen of my grandma and grandpas house before we went trick or treating. They lived in the country with a bunch of woods too 😂
You should check out Nighttime Frights series. Its similar but darker. Kinda goosebumps for adults. I just read a book in the series called Merry Frightmas. Its about a demonic Santa who takes over a mall.
I’m really thinking about re-reading the series. I only read around 15-20 of them as kid, and even for those I don’t remember the stories. Plus I remember a lot of the books had genuinely goods twists and I’m curious to see if there’s a lot of adult jokes, references, and themes that I didn’t catch as a kid.
i have 4 goosebumps books in my home and 2 in my grandmas home. i dont remember names of the books in my grandmas home but the 4 books in my home are a night in terror tower, you cant scare me, be careful what you wish for and the curse of mummys tomb.
My top five are: 1. Night of the living dummy 3 2. How I learned to fly 3. The curse of camp cold lake 4. The haunted mask 2 5. Night of the living dummy.
I actually started collecting after watching your channel, I had a few as a kid but someone in class stole them from my desk and the teacher took it and I never got them back (like 5 books) I have the 1st 50, that Monster Blood IV is pricey !
I think let's get visible was one of the first Goosebumps books I've ever read first time seeing when was in elementary school I think kindergarten I saw the original cover of the abominable snowman in my library was too young to check it out of course but after that day I decided I would look into it more I think my top three are 1. Dr Maniac vs Robby Stewart's 2. My friends call 3. 5th grade zombies definitely enjoyed you viewing themm
My favourites were The Blob that ate everyone, The Curse of the Mummy, The Abominable Snowman of Pasadena, The Haunted School and The Scarecrow walks at midnight.
The five that have stuck with me the longest have been: "Haunted School", "Phantom of the Auditorium", "Bad Hare Day", "Calling All Creeps" and "Attack of the Jack O'Lanterns"
Personally I like phantom of the auditorium. I feel like it’s a great spin on the story of phantom of the opera and it made a musical with a great soundtrack :)
Can't say what book is my favourite, but always thought that the most scaryiest are The Curse of Camp Cold Lake, Piano Lessons Can Be Murder and Horrors of the Black Ring
i read all of these lol but the ones that stuck with me are how to kill a monster, i live in your basement and camp jellyjam as some of my favorites great video! btw the egg monsters from mars and the beast from the east are actually very good for me anyway
Sadly I only read a few of these books. One day at Horror Land, the Haunted Mask, the Blob that ate everybody, Say cheese and die again. I confess I loved the books a lot more then the tv series. The books were scarier and I loved being a kid reading these unforgettable books.
The one that always sticks in my memory is How I Learned to Fly. It's not even spooky, I just liked the characters and the overall message of the book. All of the Monster Bloods were good too, that main character always got the hell beaten out of him.
What I like about #44 is the monster. I mean, we've all heard of bad luck charms, and that's basically what it is. Also, the way it was defeated was great, really funny.
My top 5 favorite Goosebumps books: 5. Welcome to Dead House 4. Bad Hare Day 3. How to Kill a Monster 2. The Ghost Next Door 1. The Beast From the East
My favorites were Beware the Snowman and The Beast From The East. Girl Who Cried Monster does have the honor of being like the first book I remember, my mom read it to me when I was a kid. Would've liked to see a bit more detail on each book and what you liked / disliked about it, but overall a nifty video.
I actually met RL Stine as a kid and I have a signed copy of The Scarecrow Walks At Midnight. One of the best days of my life haha. Picking a top 5 would be hard for me, but I know my top 3 are 1. The Scarecrow Walks At Midnight 2. The Horror At Camp Jellyjam 3. The Haunted Mask
@@OliverCSeneca yeah I still have my Goosebumps collection thankfully (I have the whole Series 2000 set and most of the originals). RL Stine was super nice when I met him, even took a picture with me after signing my book.
I have readen all those 62 books and to my opinion top 5 best books are-- 1. How I got my shrunken head. 2..The ghost next door ( saddest story in whose original series literally you will cry in end 🥺) 3. The curse of camp cold lake. 4.beware the snowman 5.curse of mummy's tomb 6. Return of mummy
Ive read 8 of those; The Egg Monsters from Mars How I got My Shrunken Head The Horror At Camp JellyJam Monster Blood II Bad Hare Day then I moved over to the "Choose youre own adventure Series, vaguely remember that

My favourites were The Blob that ate everyone, The Curse of the Mummy, The Abominable Snowman of Pasadena, The Haunted School and The Scarecrow walks at midnight.
The five that have stuck with me the longest have been:
"Haunted School", "Phantom of the Auditorium", "Bad Hare Day", "Calling All Creeps" and "Attack of the Jack O'Lanterns"
It came out in the mid-90's. I should know because I got it on the same Christmas I got "Toy Story: The Game" in 1996.
Personally I like phantom of the auditorium. I feel like it’s a great spin on the story of phantom of the opera and it made a musical with a great soundtrack :)
horro at camp jellyjam really did something to me as a kid
Can't say what book is my favourite, but always thought that the most scaryiest are The Curse of Camp Cold Lake, Piano Lessons Can Be Murder and Horrors of the Black Ring
i read all of these lol but the ones that stuck with me are how to kill a monster, i live in your basement and camp jellyjam as some of my favorites great video! btw the egg monsters from mars and the beast from the east are actually very good for me anyway
I am going to buy headless ghost should I buy it or some other will it scare me and give goosebumps
Goosebumps is on Netflix btw and has been on there for a while
Me seeing my fav youtuber hearted my comment: wow I'm so lucky!
Me realizing that everyone's comments got hearted too: son of a bi-
THE HORROR AT CAMP JELLY JAM WAS A GREAT BOOK GOOSEBUMPS WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PLACE IN MY HEART
My favorite was always The Werewolf of Fever Swamp, followed by Ghost Beach.
Both are solid stories with great cover art!
Sadly I only read a few of these books. One day at Horror Land, the Haunted Mask, the Blob that ate everybody, Say cheese and die again.
I confess I loved the books a lot more then the tv series. The books were scarier and I loved being a kid reading these unforgettable books.
Anyone has gb series where there are crossovers between protagonists and villains?you can spoil me.
The one that always sticks in my memory is How I Learned to Fly. It's not even spooky, I just liked the characters and the overall message of the book. All of the Monster Bloods were good too, that main character always got the hell beaten out of him.
How I Learned to Fly is definitely an interesting one!
Honestly i like the romantic ending. Its rare to see romance in gb..i guess its okay sometimes
The headless ghost is probably my favorite as well. I haven't read them all but what I read so far.
Great video with some great picks
Thank you!
What I like about #44 is the monster. I mean, we've all heard of bad luck charms, and that's basically what it is. Also, the way it was defeated was great, really funny.
I love the covers but love our original uk slime covers the most
Welcome to camp nightmare used to be my favorite goosebumps book!
What is your favorite now
@@WAYNEPZACK well, the same one. I haven't read them again since 5th grade haha
Beware, The Snowman is by far my favorite goosebumps book I have ever read and maybe book in general
My top 5 favorite Goosebumps books:
5. Welcome to Dead House
4. Bad Hare Day
3. How to Kill a Monster
2. The Ghost Next Door
Thanks for watching! I'm slowly uploading individual reviews of the books if you'd like to check those out.
I just got 10 random goosebumps books for Christmas.
I love goosebumps books 📚
I actually met RL Stine as a kid and I have a signed copy of The Scarecrow Walks At Midnight. One of the best days of my life haha. Picking a top 5 would be hard for me, but I know my top 3 are

Wow! That's awesome!
@@OliverCSeneca yeah I still have my Goosebumps collection thankfully (I have the whole Series 2000 set and most of the originals). RL Stine was super nice when I met him, even took a picture with me after signing my book.
